I am very fussy about wrapping paper and the only one I found I liked this year is out of stock, it was a double sided Dunelm one

I haven't found another I even remotely like. I love wrapping and using ribbon to make it all look amazing.

Nothing jumped out so got this

I had that last year 🙂

RhaenysRocks · 02/12/2024 21:13

I got some lovely stuff from the Range yesterday, a teal colour.

unclebuck · 02/12/2024 21:23

@ElvenElf those RSPB ones are lovely and I found Thanks gets 20% off - free postage over £40! 😁

cookie232 · 02/12/2024 21:24

@frozendaisy Where is it from? I love it.

Iamblossom · 02/12/2024 21:37

I usually go all out and get lovely paper all colour coordinated especially for my kids but I've got loads left over this year, seems wasteful to buy more, so it will be a pot luck mix and match year.

lemonlavendar · 02/12/2024 21:38

I'm doing brown craft paper with grosgrain ribbons, and I'm going to paint my own gift tags on brown parcel labels.
Quite looking forward to it for the first time ever. Usually dislike wrapping gifts.

Do people wrap them stamp or stamp then wrap? I did it one year and got a blister ...beautiful stag stamp though

I’ve gone for this wrapping paper this year. It’s lovely and recyclable!

My local council has said that it will not accept any wrapping paper at all in the recycling boxes after Christmas because 'even recyclable paper will have sellotape etc on it '. But brown parcel paper ok. So I'm going to go down the brown paper and ribbon route and maybe try potato stamping it?

I found some lovely wrapping paper by Cambridge Imprints at the local garden centre which is gorgeous but bloody expensive!
https://www.cambridgeimprint.co.uk/product-category/christmas-shop/paper-and-ribbon/christmas-papers/

I haven’t looked elsewhere but will probably wrap the children’s gifts in something cheaper and save the nicer stuff for friends and family.

This is gorgeous paper @Binfire

SillyNavySnail · 02/12/2024 22:24

The nicest design of the cheapest wrapping paper. Rather spend money on the presents than waste on paper that will torn and go in the bin.

Usually 50p a roll at a supermarket. Got loads I inherited from my dad the other year tho, will keep us going a good few years

TeaNights · 02/12/2024 22:29

I'm curious, what's the point of having double sided wrapping paper? Is it to have more choice when you come to wrapping or something else? I've never come across it.

These days the kids pick one roll each for Christmas. Dh doesn't like wrapping presents (not good for the environment) so I usually wrap his presents in newspaper or use a gift bag. Sometimes if I run out of paper I use colourful paper from ads or magazines for the kids as well. I think from next time I should check if the paper the kids pick is fully recyclable.

I love presents that are beautifully wrapped but absolutely suck at it myself. I can't even wrap a cuboid item neatly..

I’ve ordered some of these designs this year 😊 Haven’t received them yet so can’t speak on the quality but they’re a local company and the stuff is cute so I’m hoping it’ll be good and they can be my new go-to!

What is cascayde like to order from? I'm always window shopping on the site but I only know what delivery is like which is putting me off

I really like they're Christmassy tape

I don't know, I saw some paper with robins in Tesco but on closer inspection wasn't keen. So looking at this thread for inspiration

only ordered yesterday morning so can’t give an update I’m afraid but I’ll try and remember to come back when it arrives and let you know 😊 Royal Mail delivery if I remember correctly

I got this from Primark. £1.50 for 8m! I picked up two and hoping that'll do everything for Christmas.

A bit off the thread, but did anybody buy that glittery reindeer one from Tesco a few years ago that was basically a glitter bomb equivalent?

It had so much glitter you could hardly tape presents up and I had glitter for months afterwards everywhere!

Recycling companies were fuming as everyone tried to put it with paper/card Recycling which rendered everything else in the bins not recyclable.

It was very pretty though ...

Yes!! Was it white?!

Samandytimlucypeterolivia · 02/12/2024 23:03

I’ve got a box full of wrapping paper. Because I buy it when it’s cheap after Christmas, I’m very particular about what ones I get. The only persons presents that get wrapped in the same paper is dd everyone else gets which ever one I take out the box first. The Costco ones are good, they are double sided so plenty of options.

Monstermashermashedthemonster · 02/12/2024 23:05

I brought a load of rolls after Xmas last year 10p each don't remeber what it looks like but it in my wrapping paper box so need to dig that out.

A bookcase print from Waterstones, bought in the January sale.
