Thanks @Beautifulsunflowers for the title. It was close between that and E.L.F on a shelf and some others - too many to choose from!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Home bargains have some lovely biscuit tins for 2.99 - the type you usually find for £14 in garden centres!

ljbmum76 · 13/11/2024 15:26

Degustabox advent calendars have been popular previous years. Groupon have an offer £39.99 for the calendar which comes down to £29.99 with the code PROMO

Can anyone suggest the cheapest place to get men’s Nike air force 1’s or alternatively Nike court vision low trainers? Need to be white ones.

Wondering if they will come cheaper in any Black Friday sales. It’s something teen DS has asked for as his list this year is mostly clothes and expensive aftershaves

dancemom · 13/11/2024 15:27

Thanks for the Dairy Milk tips

mumonthehill · 13/11/2024 15:27

Thanks!

LePetitMaman · 13/11/2024 15:39

The speed these are moving at this year is insane!

Much appreciated @Reastie 🎁

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 13/11/2024 15:53

Thanks@Reastie

I promise I don’t usually post just to bookmark, but for the last 3 threads I forgot to use the right username and MNHQ had to sort it out for me, so I’m doing it now while I remember!

Also - my Sock Shop bargain bamboo socks arrived and are very underwhelming so I’m looking for bargainous alternatives please.

Ness1234 · 13/11/2024 16:23

I’d be very happy to know if anyone has seen any discounts for Patagonia winter stuff.

Delahot · 13/11/2024 16:25

HERD8QCRJ3VM

10% off Herd mentality game at Big Potato using the code above. I bought the Christmas expansion pack which doesn’t seem to be available anywhere else. Good little gift for someone maybe?

bigchanges1 · 13/11/2024 16:29

Has anyone seen a good discount for Freddie’s Flowers at all please?

gaggiagirl · 13/11/2024 16:29

Barrym.com are having their biggest ever black Friday sale. Some things are 70% off. Nice items for teens and tweens and those who remember dazzle dust!

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 13/11/2024 16:29

Oooh new thread / thanks Reastie

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 13/11/2024 16:41

Does anyone know how long it takes for the radio times subscription to be acknowledged? I definitely pressed place order after giving them my bank details but the only thing I've had so far is an email telling me that I've left items in my basket.

MyStylish40s · 13/11/2024 16:45

Thanks for the new thread

I saw someone ask if Tesco are still doing 25% off clothing, and I just wanted to say Yes. I was in-store today. Some nice glitz and sequins

nocoolnamesleft · 13/11/2024 16:45

What's a cinnamon bum kit? Sounds kinky...

thaegumathteth · 13/11/2024 17:01

Thanks for the Ariana cloud advice - I think I'll add it to my list and hold my nerve........

Re Skye candles - I used them a couple of years ago and the wick was dodgy after a few uses: I emailed them and they sent out another with many apologies straight away. Brilliant customer service.

elb1504 · 13/11/2024 17:04

I've had my dispatch email from olaplex and the free gift is still showing on there so guess we'll see what arrives. Bit random some have had theirs removed and some haven't!

Thank you!
I normally get this for DH but had decided to give it a miss this year, because like most things the price keeps creeping up.
Turned out my Groupon account was already prepopulated with a £12 code for 'WEMISSYOU', so it came to £27.99 (unfortunately the codes don't stack 😂). I definitely wouldn't have looked if you hadn't posted 👏

bigchanges1 · 13/11/2024 17:14

I’ve found the code I wrote down before for Freddie's flowers from my EE rewards & it’s still working.

50% off first order + free vase, then 10% off next 4 orders.

Not sure how easy to cancel subscription or pause future boxes though…

My Olaplex order has arrived with the free gift and sample included. I ordered on Sunday.
