@NobodyGivesADamn thanks for the title

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Does anyone know where I can get Vans Classic Old Skool in adult size 8 at a good price? I can't see them anywhere for less than £65.
Thank you!

There’s a vans outlet at bicester. That’s always worth a look, they had great deals in store on Black Friday last year

Did we have any Outsmarted fans?

A good deal Interactive Board Game - Mega Bundle Question Packs - With Code here

use code CART20

Thank you. Was eyeing this up and this looks like a great deal as original game is £24.99 so with additional packs is a bargain.

Any chance anyone had a spare Argos voucher? Spending 90 pound and would be grateful. Have posted mine here in the past as I didn’t need😊

Jazzjazzyjulez · 04/11/2024 13:13

Anyone seen the Bluey airplane for less than £60?

@Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho I think you were after Guinea Pig toys. May already be sorted but just saw this as I was scrolling and thought a christmassy one was quite cute

Christmas Guinea Pig

Love this thank you!

Bit out of the ordinary but would anyone know of any discounts for hell bunny website? There’s a few things I like that I’m planning to send to DH for my birthday/xmas but any extra discount would be welcome! 🙏

InbetweenDreams · 04/11/2024 13:58

My youngest DD - 5 but big for her age, possibly relevant - has asked for a puffy out yellow princess dress for Christmas. Disney store official one is out of stock in her size. Has anyone bought a dupe of anything like that they could recommend? It’s the only thing she has asked for so I want it to be really special looking and not cheap-knock off looking (obviously, if it’s cheap but doesn’t look it that would be fine haha). Or, does anyone have any idea if it’s likely Disney store would get more stock?

redjoker · 04/11/2024 14:04

ELEMIS Update

Try promo code NEWTEN to bring the price down to £61.95 (£10.00 off the initial £71.95)

New customers I think

Member212711 · 04/11/2024 14:07

Thoughts on the chances of a GymShark reduction? Am after a backpack on there - there is one on Vinted, but not great condition and after postage etc, quite spendy. Do GymShark do Black Friday? Thank you!

CandyRaining · 04/11/2024 14:07

I had a £5 voucher in my inbox today for wilko (no minimum spend) so check your emails if you get them from wilko.
Also, the jewellery store Lovisa have a ‘nothing over £3’ section where lots of their jewellery is reduced to £3 or under. Some lovely bits on there, nice for teens.

IlovePond · 04/11/2024 14:09

@InbetweenDreams - worth trying the toy section of TKMaxx - ours had dozens of princess outfits, etc. when I was last there. They looked just like the ones you get from Disney to me in terms of quality.

I don't know if you've ever used it, but Hell Bunny have an official ebay page. The stuff is often a lot cheaper (although not always current season)

Worth a look. I've bought a lot from them over the years and usually half the price of my local stockist.

Thanks for the info re: Oodie tees @hby9628 @Impatientwino @BusterGroove and @Georgieporgie29

I am off to look at them again!

ruralwanderer · 04/11/2024 14:13

Can't remember who was looking for M&S Apothecary giftsets but I've just discovered that many of them are also on Ocado who are currently offering 25% off a £60 spend and free delivery with code VOU4435047 plus cashback via TopCashback.

Fancyateapottea · 04/11/2024 14:13

For those buying the Elemis deal at QVC it makes sense to use a referral code if you’re a new customer. Not only will you get £10 off but also get to give a £10 discount for someone else.

@Jazzjazzyjulez can you sign up for Argos emails on their homepage to get the £10 off £60 spend? Or new customer account with Very to bring the price down?

I have some JLab Go Air Pop earbuds (emergency purchase when I forgot mine on a work trip!), they’re pretty good sound quality, long battery life (~32hrs) and an integrated usb charger in the bottom of the case (no need for another wire!). And they come in a range of colours; I have the lilac. I paid £25 on offer but I’ve seen them as low as £20.

Plus one for the JLab earbuds - as a family we have quite a few pairs and they're great. I have the neon pink so they are easy to find in my handbag.

Just to say that Rymans has these in teal or pink reduced to £19.99 at the minute.

IamChipmunk · 04/11/2024 14:29

@InbetweenDreams try Sainsburys. My dd has had lots of disney princess dresses from there over the years and they all wear well and are reasonably priced. It's Belle who wears yellow I think so may be worth a general search for a Belle costume...

InbetweenDreams · 04/11/2024 14:30

Thanks @IlovePond I hadn’t thought of looking there but that’s probably a great idea! I’ve just been looking online and you can’t tell the quality from pictures!
