I've spent the afternoon going through the Christmas list and feeling very overwhelmed about how much to get and how much it'll all cost. I need to get control and organised.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

@lisamari99 I've just searched for you, I paid £3.50 postage last year. According to their T&Cs postage is £3.50 for the first item then an extra £1 per item thereafter.

I've searched for a discount code and can't find one but there are suggestions online that you get 15% off if you subscribe to the newsletter. I've just subscribed and will let you know if anything comes through as that may offset the postage a little.

Hmm,,,. My grim gift set has arrived. Does anyone remember what was supposed to be on it? I think it is missing something. There are only 5 items 🫤 I thought it was 6. I didn’t get a confirmation email either, despite checking my junk email, so I can’t check.

Home bargains do some, look all around though as I'm ours styles vary depending on the area they're in. In our local big one there's some by the make up/ toiletries
Some are with the random few toys in the stationary section.

Primark might also have something, in the toiletries or travel areas.

Thanks, @boobybum. I ordered a few extras at check out but I can’t remember what 😂 I am missing one of the facial bars in a box and 1 other item - whether that is the mystery gift or one of the extras, I can’t remember 🙄

@Broken12 I use a stationary box from smiths. Lots of little drawers. Often on offer. My kids love it too. Would also have longevity!
