Have you had to adamantly say no to any presents requests from DC?

My 12 year old has asked for and airsoft/bb gun, which I’ve said a big fat no to!! He now hates me, and I’m so unfair, apparently all his friends will be getting one for Christmas!

Besides the fact that we have no where locally he could go and play it legally/safely/ with rules etc, whatever. I am not buying my 12yr old a gun for Christmas Xmas Hmm

@rhubarb84

We say no to almost every request from DS8 because they're all insane. This year, he is not getting:

A drone
An axe
A £150 replica sword from the English Heritage shop
An airgun
A motorbike helmet

He doesn't mind, much. He's happily saving up money for the day when he's allowed to buy himself the sword.

Tbf, he’s obviously got cool tastes! Maybe when he’s old enough you could get him one of those ‘be a blacksmith for a day’ experiences, and he might one day make his own sword?!

Mine is a gun too OP!
My 5 year old came home from school wanting to change his santa list to add a gun... I don't even know how he knows what one is as it's something we have avoided (and he can't tell me what one does!) So that one was a big fat no!

Not my DC, but one of my own silly requests Xmas Grin

Growing up my favourite movie was The Jungle Book. Every single Christmas I asked Father Christmas to bring me Bagheera. And not a toy version, no, I was adamant I wanted a real panther!
