girlwiththeyellowhats do we have any news yet?

Fifth thread already, how did that happen?! I?ve booked our panto tickets now so am feeling very festive Grin . Tips I learnt from the last thread number 24837 - wrap a huge cardboard box in christmas gift wrap to put all the rubbish on christmas day in rather than a bin bag so you don?t get a black plastic sack in all of the photos

Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Have a Tennis Reastie. I like to be different

ShoopShoop · 03/09/2013 08:24

Not Christmas themed as such but I found a 20% off discount code for Bear Nibbles here

DD loves all their products so I've put in a bulk order of the paws and rolls - I'll keep some back to put in her advent calendar to alternate with chocolate :)

Discount code is Grizzlies and there's also free postage if your order is over £30 (saving £4.95.....I think).

BornToFolk · 03/09/2013 08:26

Oooh, I got DS one of those Arm and Hammer toothbrushes for his stocking last year - great value for £1!

Marking my place. I've got lots of 1 year olds to buy for this year as there was a bit of a baby boom in 2012 - any ideas gratefully received!

strawberrypenguin · 03/09/2013 08:29

Anther thread already! Thanks OP (shameless place mark here!)

98percentchocolate · 03/09/2013 08:38

Ooh barbeasty where were the Xmas books from? Sounds perfect for my Xmas book tree!

I heard a rumour that tesco have lower prices on the in store toys than marked on shelf. Discounts not appearing on website either so worth a look!

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/09/2013 08:39

Thanks Reastie.!!

RockySpeed · 03/09/2013 08:50

I've been making friends jealous with how organised for Christmas this year. I've a good excuse though (not that we need an excuse of course!) dc2 is due in 6 weeks Grin

RockySpeed · 03/09/2013 08:51

Apologies, that last message didn't make total sense! Sure you got the gist..

BuffyFairy · 03/09/2013 08:57

Thanks Reastie Thanks

Must not buy any more books.

DangerousMouse · 03/09/2013 09:01

Can anyone help me finding the best deal for an ipod touch? My DD wants one for christmas, I think it's a 4th gen we are after. Does amazon tend to be competitive on things like this?

Littlemousewithcloggson · 03/09/2013 09:06

For the last 3 years tesco has had a toy sale around this date, up to 80% off. Usually all gone in a morning and some fantastic bargains. Usually held within a few days of kids going back to school. Worth keeping an eye out for

ecofreckle · 03/09/2013 09:15

Hello from a lurker who never finds anything exciting to share but has purchased lots of things suggested: thank you!
I am not sure it qualifies as a mega bargain but I got these Eric Carle first books for baby sets for a few babies I know at £3: baby books
Also, anyone have their Magpie mugs delivered yet - are they ok?

I'll keep endeavouring to find somethng useful to contribute (am going into city later today)

Barbeasty · 03/09/2013 09:21

98percent here are the books, taken from a link on the last thread.

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 03/09/2013 09:35

I have also discovered camelcamelcamel.com to track Amazon prices for the past year thanks to these threads. Very interesting to see patterns and what month prices usually increase/decrease, and what might be worth holding out for.

Just a warning, that Tinkerbell Draw book has now gone up to £5 from £2.49 at The Works since the early hours of this morning. Very sneaky.

DiaryOfAWimpyMum · 03/09/2013 09:40

Oh 5th thread already.

CatAmongThePigeons · 03/09/2013 10:00

Flowers for the thread, epic first post.

I told my husband that there's only two paydays until Christmas and he told me to stop swearing Grin I have saved so much thanks to these threads and I'm really excited for Christmas now!

LaTrucha · 03/09/2013 10:03

Quidco deal for the next 5 days - 25% off at Dorothy Perkins plus 8% cashback. code is given when you click through on the Quidco website.

iloveholidays · 03/09/2013 10:18

98, what is your Christmas book tree?

iloveholidays · 03/09/2013 10:20

tempted to go along to tesco and do pick up one of the self scanners to use with the toys. worth the time do you think?

HenriettaPye · 03/09/2013 10:24

Checking in Smile

OnlyGirlinmyHouse · 03/09/2013 10:28

I've been lurking on these threads & have picked up a few bargains along the way - cath kidston bracelet, fitness mag subscription, celia birtwell scarves from uniqlo, book bundles from whsmith to name a few. Also eyeing up the magpie site, but need to wait for the 'a' cup to come back in stock.

Does anyone know of the best place to buy a Micro 2 wheeler scooter, the aluminium ones? have checked jojo to see if I can use the code in the op but I think they only do the micro scooters.

I will keep my eyes open for bargains and post any I see.

JustBecauseICan · 03/09/2013 10:42

Marking place.

Thanks Reastie!

janx · 03/09/2013 10:42

checking in to new thread

chirpchirp · 03/09/2013 10:56

Thanks Reastie for the new thread. Have loved all the kids bargains but I think I'm just about there on that front (unless something comes up that is just a total steal!)

Now have to focus on the grown ups gifts.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 03/09/2013 12:05

Ds1 turns 2 just before Christmas, aside from Happyland stuff (which I've been putting away since last year) what else would you get a 2yr old that's also safe to play with around a 4 month old (ds2 is 5wks)?
Wooden kitchen?

Thanks for the new thread Reastie, who needs Father Christmas!? [Thanks]
