14 year old boy pain down below

I’m looking for advice really. My boy has groin pain after a bath tonight. He says he was fine before the bath and now has ball (testie) pain now. There doesn’t appear to be anything out of place but obviously not sure. We have asked and he says he hasn’t been kicked or accidentally hit by anything or anyone today at school.

we have contacted 111 awaiting a call back for their nurse or doctor. My mind is racing to wonder if the bath being a normal temperature has something to trigger it? He’s saying it’s just uncomfortable but also reports his calf is sore too? 🙈

we have a hot tub and he’s in and out of that all week with no issue. Any ideas please? TIA

I've been following but not able to post for some reason.
Glad to hear that your son is improving little by little.
I hope that he continues to get better.
Thinking of you. I can't begin to imagine what you've been through whilst he's been so poorly.
Sending you a huge hug.

Take care of yourself x

How is your boy today?

YoungWild · 18/05/2023 04:29

Good Morning early update we have been having a lot of belly pain and cramps for the last few hours he’s wee is very bloody. They have given him something to try and move his bowls.
The plan today all going well so we step down back to HDU for a day or so and then back to a ward.

Oh good-oh.

We have departed PICU and all settled in HDU. His cathater has come out too and his diarrhoea had stopped probably because he’s empty but it’s all positive. They are giving him fluid in his line and keeping an eye for another UTI. Apparently it’s a risk after the tubes come out with the blood too. It’s a weight off the shoulders that’s for sure

DS had emergency surgery for testicular torsion. From GP to operating table was really fast. Don't delay

Hedjwitch · 18/05/2023 22:01

Sorry. Should have RTT!

17 days after admission we are HOME 🥳 we have been discharged from HDU to a virtual ward and open access to ambulatory care if needed. We go back in Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week for a review with the consultant on the virtual ward, they’ll call us on FaceTime every day to check in and we have an emergency number to get them too. He’s having slight side effects from the cathater but we hope that should resolve in a few days to few weeks. He’s handled it really well.
it’s such a relief to be home and have both my kids home. Thank you all for the kind messages and posts.
