Hi all.

I briefly followed a previous thread when going through the process with DS1. I submitted our application 3 weeks ago and have not even heard it has been received. I heard on previous threads about 'scanned dates' (?) Does this mean an acknowledgement the application has been received? How does that come? they have all my contact details.

Sorry for my newbie questions. Thanks

Hi there,
I received my first letter dated the 31/01 which I think by the time I actually got it in the post was about a week or so into Feb, stating they received my application on the 20/01 so that would be your scan date. I think it can take a month from you sending your forms to getting your first letter, I'm sure you will hear from them soon. Good luck ☺️

Shellbel10 · 26/04/2023 17:31

thank you

I sent two separate applications at the same time towards the end of March, have had confirmation that one arrived but not the other! Presumably if I phone them they can tell me whether or not the other has arrived?

I ended up calling them as hasn’t received any sort of notification after 4 weeks. They confirmed both had been received and I got a letter another 4 weeks from then to say they had received them.

Did anyone else have any good/bad news yesterday regarding their claim x

Shanmolloy21 · 27/04/2023 09:56

Called this morning and they said my claim is getting looked at by the overtime team over the weekend I assume as it’s 13 weeks on Monday. Any one had the same thing happen? Forms received on the 30/1

Alex900 · 27/04/2023 10:11

I rang this morning mines still with DM I requested a text message when a decision is made

Topsyturvyday · 27/04/2023 10:55

Scan date 25/1, got a text Monday to say it was being looked at and got back payment today. I don't know the rates. I can't believe it. DD has a v rare neurological condition, diagnosed 18 months ago and didn't bother trying to claim at first because I honestly thought she wouldn't be eligible. It's going to make a huge difference to her life!

Alex900 · 27/04/2023 11:47

@Topsyturvyday I received that message on Tuesday

Still no decision here 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️🤯

Topsyturvyday · 27/04/2023 18:11

Thank you @TiredOfCleaning. We've had such an awful time and I've recently been diagnosed with cancer so I've been panicking about how I'm going to manage looking after us both while I have treatment. The back payment will help with some of that and once I'm on a more even keel I know exactly what private therapy I'll be getting on board. I'm still in utter shock. I thought I was going to have to appeal but had already resigned myself to the fact that I likely won't have the energy for that soon, so I'd all but written it off.

Good luck to everyone else. I hope that by sharing my timeline it might at least help someone. I've lurked in the background and I know it's been helpful for me to get an idea of timescales.

I was hoping you would have an answer today. How annoying.
Just for reference for when it's you time. My decision was Tues and received the back pay today.
