Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

Yes! Me!
I'm addicted to food, I'm sure of it, I downloaded MFP again yesterday and inputted a normal reasonable not even binge day just to see and 2,750 kcals! 🙈🙈

So starting properly today! I have 5 stone overall to go, which feels insurmountable!
I might do 5:2 as that worked for me before when i followed t until I fell off wagon!

FluffedIt · 01/05/2017 05:27

I was thinking of that too, but last time I just ate more the other days so didn't make any difference!

It's insane how quickly it adds up though isn't it. Im trying to sort mfp out now!

Sorted!

More than welcome to join in @pinkieandperkie how much have you got to lose?

I've got my Fitbit which I'm going to link to my mfp account, won't eat the calories earned though (though nice to know I can if needed)

Me too please! Did have 3 stone to lose but now it's 4 due to a back injury and not being able to move around much. Using Nutracheck linked to my fitbit. I'm seeing the consultant next month and want to have lost some by then as he's bound to tell me I'm a fatty Grin

NightWanderer · 01/05/2017 07:14

Can I join too? Baby is now 3 and the baby weight still hasn't shifted. I'm aiming for 1500 kcals a day. I will fill in for today and report back later.

Mooey89 · 01/05/2017 08:12

Those using MFP, are we willing to out ourselves enough to add each other on MFP

blueskyinmarch · 01/05/2017 08:16

Can i join in too? Just weighed myself this morning. I have at least 2 stones to lose. I am forever starting a diet on a Monday but by the end of the week i have given up. I have an App i use but it isn’t MFP or Nutracheck - although i do have them as well. All the tools and none of the motivation!

PastysPrincess · 01/05/2017 08:19

I need to lose 6 stone having lost 22 pounds already. However it's taken FOREVER to lose those so at this rate I will be slim in about 20 years lol.

MurielsBottom · 01/05/2017 08:32

Can I join. New month, new start!

I have about three stone to lose. I lost two stone the year before last and I need to get back into. I find using map the best for me. It is quite shocking at times though!

MurielsBottom · 01/05/2017 08:34

Can do mfp user names by pm if you want to?

pinkieandperkie · 01/05/2017 08:46

Morning all.

I've recently lost a stone so I have 1.5 left to lose.

I was doing really well and was very motivated then Easter happened and I've been back on the chocolate, cakes and biscuits and the weight I lost is creeping back on.

Is Monday going to be weigh in day?

Just got on the scales and I am 10.6. This doesn't sound too bad but I am short and look like a barrel.

Good luck everyone.

phoenixtherabbit · 01/05/2017 08:49

Hello! I calorie count.

I lost over a stone in around three months on my own. I stuck around 1500 calories a day and the weight dropped off. I also had one cheat day a week so wasn't that strict.

I've had a few weeks off it, ive been ill and so just eaten what I want but I'm back on it now. I've got around 10lbs to lose. Maybe a bit less not sure yet.

It's definitely doable and it has certainly taught me portion sizes and what they should be if nothing else

FluffedIt · 01/05/2017 08:56

Ah great lots of people! I was so worried I'd start a duff thread!

My mfp is charlston178 I'm too boring to have anything to hide but feel free to pm your name if you actually have a life and like it private..

Ooo nothing feels like a fresh start more than a 1st of the month on a Monday!!

And finally 22lbs is still amazing even if it did take ages! I lost 17lb since Jan ..except all I've done is gain for weeks so now my total is 10lb in 4 months!

I'm so committed I've broken this baby out from behind the sofa!

Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

pinkieandperkie · 01/05/2017 09:27

That made me laugh Pasty. I have a wondercore 2 in the spare bedroom! I'm going to bring it down and put it in front of the tv. Obviously I will need to give it a good dust Smile

PastysPrincess · 01/05/2017 09:34

MurielsBottom · 01/05/2017 09:43

Just in the spirit of honesty I have a lovely set of dumbells with a nice layer of dust on them!

PastysPrincess · 01/05/2017 09:47

FluffedIt · 01/05/2017 10:00

Yeah I'm not planning on any of that! Ha ha I was hoping to lose a stone just through diet and walking before I had to start actually putting in proper effort...is that possible or am I dreaming?!

I've got my Fitbit which my daily record is 17k (although I only hit that once and yesterday was 2k!)

This image is what I'm using to motivate me. You do need to click on it to see it all.

PastysPrincess · 01/05/2017 10:20

Walking is good exercise though
