Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

I'm LolasMam on mfp.
I've just added a couple of you - not sure I've done it right as I've never added people before

Was going to start Pilates tonight but DS has other ideas!

Goes off to research how to burn lots of calories whilst sat on the sofa doing fuck all!

Well done lifesjoys! That's incredible. Next time you're at the suprmarket try and pick up 22 bags of sugar. Wink

Fab! Now I have friends on mfp I might have to actually keep using it...
I'm going to get weighed and do my food shop tomorrow then I'm all over the calorie counting. (Just got to eat the bag of Percy Pigs I accidentally bought earlier first 🐷)

Fuck off!! Shock Is that what I've been carrying around with me in weight??!!! Shock

Yeah! I've lost almost 10 bags of sugar. I've got 38 more to lose.

Putting it in a real world context helps me to really appreciate it.

I hope I've not upset you. I only meant to highlight how amazing it is.

No no definitely not upset me!

I'm literally in shock! I didn't realise it was that many bags of sugar!

Apologies for the "fuck off", not literally!

I hadn't put it into context before

Definitely opened my eyes pasty!

@lifesjoys glad I've not upset you.

@FluffedIt according to your chart I have almost lost a bicycle!

For anyone that hasn't seen it either, the attached photo is a model of the size and shape of 5lbs of fat.

Honestly never thought of it like that before.

Imagine carrying a cinder block around all day & you can't put it down!

I saw an episode of the biggest loser USA and one of the challenges was to run up some steps wearing a backpack full of stones. Some of them could hardly pick it up. Afterwards they told them they had filled each persons backpack according to the amount of weight they'd already lost. The aim was to show them how well they had all done so far.

Use it as motivation this week FluffedIt. You've made a massive start by getting us all on here!

Are we all having our weigh ins this morning?

Report
FluffedIt · 08/05/2017 08:08

Ok I think the only way I'm going to do this is if I totally throw myself into it.. I'm going to make a spread sheet of running totals (not actual weight for those that don't want to disclose it) and a fluff point for the weekly winner! Let's see who has the most fluff points by the time this thread is full!

Patsy I did weigh in, -1 for me. So that's a total of -4 in May so far. This is hard!! I think oh -4 is great then realise I've still got 57 to go! Need to make smaller goals.

So I'm going to try for 15lbs in just less than 5 weeks (I'm 40 on 11 June so being under 14st would make me happy!!) ok that's a tough target - 12lb and I won't be disappointed but gonna aim for the 15.

Then the next 16 by my sisters wedding on 19 Aug (almost 10 weeks)

Then the last 26 before my trip to New York in December (14 weeks)
