Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

FluffedIt · 04/05/2017 04:03

Welcome everyone, I'll go through and add mfp names when it's not 4am but I'm FluffedIt on there too if you wanna add me!

I have had some home made bean chilli with a small pouch of M&S wild rice with it for lunch.
And going to have a potato, lots of veg and quorn sausages for dinner. I have had fruit throughout the day too, and drunk lots, its hot here!
also done a good fast walk for an hour yesterday and today.
Proud face on!
How is everyone else doing?

PastysPrincess · 04/05/2017 18:13

I was doing really well today but DP made homemade burgers so my large deficit is gone. I'm going for another jog later so should be ok. Hmm

kally195 · 05/05/2017 09:25

I'm surprising myself with how I am sticking to my calorie limit. Had a day off Monday as I cooked for the family, but I braved the scales this morning and I'm 4lb12oz down on my lightbulb moment a week ago. I'm quite pleased. Just another 30 or so pounds to go!

FluffedIt · 05/05/2017 10:21

That's fab well done!

I'm struggling again, what's wrong with me?!

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 05/05/2017 13:47

@FluffedIt why do yo think you are struggling? what is it specifically you are struggling with?

Mooey89 · 05/05/2017 15:27

DS and now me have Scarlet fever! So just eating what I physically can for now!
Planning a detox next week though, I'm always ill and think my diet is a huge factor.

FluffedIt · 06/05/2017 08:31

Oh no hope you are feeling a bit better?

I struggle with the crave to scoff constantly, dd is 7 months and doesn't want to sleep so being knackered all the time doesn't help and I end up binging!

I'm hitting restart(again) today though.

How's everyone else?

A1Sharon · 06/05/2017 09:13

Morning, doing good here. Hope you are better soon Mooey.
Doing good here. Had 1/2 a pizza base with lots of veggies, 30g of cheese and 100g of sweet potato fries for dinner last night.
It was so good! Grin
And didn't need to feel guilty as all 'above board'.
having spinach, lean bacon and cherry tomatoes for breakfast, and red rice and grains, with peppers, red onion, tomatoes (all roasted) with 50g Feta cheese for lunch.
Out for dinner with a friend tonight, I've eaten here before and they do gorgeous fish, so wont be going nuts on the food-the cocktals however Wink.
Anyway, have been out walking/biking every day, and will do so again today to rack up a few more cals.
What is everyone else eating?
Good luck!

DragonNoodleCake · 06/05/2017 09:24

You've inspired me to get on it again. Added you on MFP. I'm DragonNoodleCake there too. Feel free to add me people

Oh and I have 4 st to lose

DragonNoodleCake · 06/05/2017 09:24

Off to mow the lawn - that counts as exercise right?

A1Sharon · 06/05/2017 09:38

Well it makes me sweat so I count it as exercise,Wink.
Fluff I found it very hard when DC were that small, the tiredness kills you...
Try grabbing a drink instead of eating? Or add pictures of how much sugar/crap is in the treat stuff on to the fridge/cupboard doors?
Needs must!

PastysPrincess · 06/05/2017 09:58

I struggled so much with the sleep deprivation. It messes with your brain chemicals and cause you feel like you need to eat more. Theres a reason it's banned as an interrogation method. It's classed as torture!

I'm going for another jog today with a friend this time.

FluffedIt · 06/05/2017 10:43

Glad your inspired but it doesn't count if it's a ride on low mower! Grin

It IS torture, I've been up since 4 with her, still not showered or washed up or anything but dh has had a nice lay in til 8.30 and then a 20min poo, then a shower and now left to do a food shop with ds who wet the bed last night so all the stuff I was planning won't get washed as his sheets will stink. Grrr is it any wonder I head for the biscuits...there's flapjack calling me right now!!

Sorry...that was a little rant then...

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 06/05/2017 11:34

Do you normally do the nights and early mornings? If so, then you should be getting lie ins on a weekend. You'll run yourself into the ground.

DragonNoodleCake · 06/05/2017 12:15

Haha - no I pushed the proper mower round the garden twice (it was that long!) I had to empty it 5 times!! Lawn is 12m by 11m so not huge but not small
Then I hand washed the front door and both cars! And put the laundry out on the line! So I've burned what I've eaten.

It's easier today because:
I've had a decent sleep
The sun is out
I had to do those jobs
I was staying out of DH's way because he was getting on my nerves!

DragonNoodleCake · 06/05/2017 12:16

Fluffedit rant away - I hear you

lifesjoys · 06/05/2017 13:00

Me too!

I have lost a few stone but still need to lose 3.5st

I've been calorie counting the last 3 weeks, ive come very close to going to the shop & buying enough food for a month & scoffing it all in one sitting!

lifesjoys · 06/05/2017 13:01

Those using MFP, are we willing to out ourselves enough to add each other on MFP

I am!

Ditsy1980 · 06/05/2017 13:09

I'm joining too!
I have 6stone to lose. maybe 7. God, it seems a lot written down!
I'm just lazy, I don't exercise, I might not eat all day then just have a massive binge at dinner and I have a crazy sweet tooth. I know what I need to do, it's just starting it that's the problem!

NightWanderer · 06/05/2017 13:21

I was on holiday this week. Not good! No excuses for this week though.

FluffedIt · 06/05/2017 13:57
