Thanks stac
Cool name!!
Happy Chatting on this thread!!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 26/04/2010 21:15

Oo found you all!

9 weeks to go for me eeeeeeeek!

Hope everyone is well I've started on my raspberry leaf tea and am going to the gym twice a week while I have the energy!

Has anyone written a birth plan yet? I'm mulling over a natural third stage but not sure if that will be allowed as I had retained placenta last time. Or indeed if I have the patience to wait for it

GlastonburyGoddess · 26/04/2010 22:19

Hello anifersgirl! Chulita-sympathise with the fanjo ishoos, we hadnt bd'd for a month or so as last time it felt like my pelvic floor was falling out, soo painful. we finally had a session at the weekend and to my relief it wasnt too painful this time-i think position/depth had a lot to do with it

violetbubbles-how did the babyshow go?

beckyg123-Wow sounds like you had a good day at the babyshow and picked yourself up some bargains, free goodies are always great! PMSL at "do you want a f88king medal" lol lol men eh, we do it day in day out with no recognition, they do a token gesture and expect a bloody oscar.

kkfairybrains -That was me on about the tummytub, suprizingly I managed to find one at the car boot sale and bagged it for a cool £3!! excellant!

DesperateHousewife21-deffo make use of the dentist while its free! Im in the process of six{blush] fillings at the moment- Ive always had crap teeth. I went through bulimia for a few years as a young child/teenager which Im sure didnt help and then after i went into care I developed a coke addiction(cola not the white stuff) as I was never allowed it as a kid. anyhow im not looking forward to the next 5, got another appt on thursday for number 2 ahhhh

memphis83-weirdly as this is my 3rd baby, I have been feeling like its very low this week, dull aching in pubic regien and lower belly. with the other two I didnt engage till labour and a week before but I had pains like someone stabbing me up the fanjo-very quick pains but very sharp, that were apparently head engaging. It is entirely possible that baby could be engaged-but its not to say it will stay like that at this stage, they can pop in and out .

stac14- I would personally say ime that FM is a matter of trial and error, everyone will say oh use x y or z like they did, but see how your little one takes it and go from there. Ds1 wouldnt bf and I started with sma gold, he was v v sick on this and when he went onto aptimil that reduced quite a bit, not gone completely but was much better than when he was on sma.

Interesting reading your hospital bag lists ladies-although have to say youve left one vital piece of equipment off-disposable earplugs!!(can be bought at chemists)

Again Ive not been on for a couple of weeks, Im having a really tough time at the moment with ds1 and I dont want to dampen the mood coming on here every five mins moaning.
He usually is a bit of a rollercoaster mood wise and the longest stretch of difficult behaviour has been 2 weeks, unforntunately hes been extrememly challenging for the last 5 weeks so Im having quite a tough time of it and feel exhausted. After returing to school last week, tuesday was particulary bad and resulted in me having to drag/carry across the playground and into reception, where he lay on the floor screaming, crying, kicking, punching and telling the teachers to F off. after some discussion with the teacher have agreed in can enter school the rear entrance 10mintutes earlier than school starts which is how we did it originally, only changed because school wanted him in with the others but he cant handle it.nor can I for that matter and after lots of dodgy looks I exited the playground, got in the car and cryed my heart out

Am now waiting for the pead to get back to us for another appointment, and am ready for the onging fight to get him assessed.

Anyone had swollen ankles yet?
took off socks on sat eve and my ankles were massive!! never experienced this with ds1&2 so was amazed at the sight of them. were swollen sun and today too, so worried what they'll look like in 10 weeks!ahhh!

Finally got my tescos hamper!!

would like to mention in MORRISONS theyve got 9 pks pampers senitive in a box for £7!!! bargain!! bought 2 boxes today! offer on TILL 2nd MAY

sorry such a long post
xx

WickedWitchSouthWest · 26/04/2010 22:37

Sorry, that is a pretty long list and probably shouldn't have repeated it- oops.

Anyways, hello all, hope Easter eggs all long gone and you're all powering into third trimester well.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 27/04/2010 22:04

We're still having a surprise It's odd though, by this point I was convinced dd was a girl but this time I'm really not sure. The fact a boys name has been reasonably easy makes me think it's a boy...

I've been getting swollen ankles this time, and far too hot in bed at night. I'm a bit of moaner this time and I'm very much attached to my comfy trainers whereas with dd I was determined to stay relatively glam as long as poss!

Anyone using their ball to sit on yet? I sat on one in the gym on Monday while waiting for mum to finish her stretches and thought "oo this is comfy!" so I think I might have to blow mine up. Plus it's got to be more elegant than struggling out of the sofa

flexab23 · 27/04/2010 23:20

Evening ladies - bookmarking my place. Not written on here for ages but been keeping an eye on all the news, very reassuring to hear everyone's symptoms and questions and that hospital bag list is a great idea. 11 weeks to go for me, can't wait to see lo and know it is real!

Emster30 · 28/04/2010 11:13

Has anyone been trying out the old wives' tales to see if it's a boy or a girl? They're all coming out saying girl for me, and we have a girl's name picked out but aren't so sure for a boy. But I still feel like it's a boy! Maybe just because all my friends have had girls recently so I kind of want a boy just to be different. But a girl would be brilliant too.

Spirael · 28/04/2010 14:25

Hi all! Marking my place on the new thread.

Also, a query... Have any ring wearers had to remove them? I noticed at lunchtime when I was out and about in town that my wedding band was a bit tight and didn't want to budge.

Now, it is very warm and humid out there today, and once I was back in the cool air conditioning of the office I got the ring off easily enough with a few twists, so I'm not exactly worried. I've put the ring on my necklace for safe keeping for now.

I was just wondering whether anyone else is starting to experience the same thing and planning on removing their rings, or if I should just be cutting back on the cake.

beckyg123 · 28/04/2010 19:51

Just popped on to mark my place but noticed your question spireal - Its not the cake! lol! I had to take my rings off on monday night- they are too tight when i get warm but still a bit tight when cool, i've noticed it getting worse over last few weeks so just decided to put mine on necklace so they don't need to be cut off later if swelling gets worse! WWSW I've also noticed a little swelling in ankles at night.

glaston don't stay away coz of DS- i personally am really interested in your progress with him- i know it can be really difficult to get diagnosis and access to the support you all need- if it helps to share then talk to us! Thanks for info on morrison's wipes! thats a good deal

WickedWitchSouthWest · 28/04/2010 20:23

emster I haven't done the wedding ring on a chain trick yet, I should do that really.

spirael I'm getting close to needing to take the rings off now. I can't get them over my knuckles tonight but I know when I cool down a bit they'll be fine. Should probably look out a nice chain to wear them on now...

stac14 · 28/04/2010 21:12

Hey ladies

How have you been c4ro? Dont worry bout re-posting the list, it will get done anytime an updates needed

emster i did the old wives test online and it said girl as did the chinese predicter. My scans comfirmed it. I thought they were good fun

wwsw i am the same, dont remember being like this with ds. I was toasting last night, slept with the window open and a light cover, maybe for me its cos i have a huge age gap. This time 11yrs ago i was in labour eek.

Hey flex hope your good hun. What you been up to?

spireal yeah ring is getting tighter but i have a thing on mine as it was too loose so hopefully i'l only need to remove that.

Hope alls well x

WickedWitchSouthWest · 28/04/2010 22:44

doh! I've just realised that we're still sleeping iwth our winter weight duvet! Will have to change that tonight or I'm going to boil...

C4ro · 29/04/2010 14:03

At the moment the only ring that fits me is my wedding ring ( and it is getting a bit tighter too...). I saw a post here from someone warning that in later weeks, if you go on any longer flight to definitely take the rings off- the poster had to have their ring cut off. It might well end up on a necklace at this rate.

Nothing much here to report; have also recently got a birthing ball to tit about on at home and it certainly feels more comfortable on the pelvis that this hideous work chair I'm currently stuck on- I feel about 80 when I prise myself up and stagger the first steps to go anywhere. Not sure I'm brave enough to bring it in here to work though- did anyone else do that (take a birthing ball to an office for seat??)

kkfairybrains · 29/04/2010 15:55

glasto please dont feel the need to stay away! we all have venting days and its real good to get it out of the system and something you say may help one of us some day! at £3 for tummy tub! thats brill! not sure how much they are here as i've asked dad to get it and he prob wont want the money for it!well i hope not anyway cos that can be his pressie!
emster i've done all the old wives tales and predictors and they all say girl!and a fortune teller last year who told me nearly to the date when i was gonna be preg(and it was unplanned) said it was gonna be a girl.then the gypsy woman told me girl! but i feel like its a boy! dont know why cos i've nothing to compare it to. we'l find out in 9 weeks anyway!
cant believe we'r counting down in single figures now!
wwsw and stac im the same with the heat thing im always raoasting!and normally a cold creature!
well in other news my nausea/sickness has returned .every night in bed now i just feel awful between the sickness and my back.actually got sick 2 nights ago but apart from that its feeling sick. really thought i was over all that bit!
thanks for the new thread stac!xx

stac14 · 29/04/2010 18:05

hey ladies, take it it's time for the change over lol. I am shattered today. Had the dog at the vet, the had to change ds's jog suit, then asda for a picture cake, school run then ds to the shopping centre so he could buy the games he wanted. Now still have family to see, roll on bed time lol

Hows everyone else today? X

Chulita · 29/04/2010 19:06

Just marking my spot, I've caught up reading but sorry for not responding to everyone, DD's ill again so we're not sleeping well and I'm so tired I want to crawl under a rock for the next 3 months...

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/04/2010 19:08

Hi I think Ill just stay on this thread now instead of trying to keep up with 2!

Where are these other bump pics people! stac you said you'd have one up theres no wriggling out of it now lol.

I had my hair cut today, a graduated bob and it looks really nice. It was quite long before, past my shoulders so its quite a big change but wanted something easier to manage for LO's arrival.

Spent the afternoon at my friend's house, had pot noodle for lunch again they are my guilty pleasure lol.
