hi all!
spirael Yes my rings are tighter but I first noticed my watch was very tight - it's a metal one so made to fit. So might have to stop wearing that. I also feel is I have to sit on my knees in yoga that my calves feel huge although they don't look huge - they just feel very odd!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 29/04/2010 19:40

caro I wish I had taken my ball to work! Would have been much more fun
kk my nausea is back too! Am NOT impressed. I'm back to nibbling biscuits to try and keep it at bay. Mine is worse in the mornings, with a lovely wave of it right when I need to be cooking tea for dd grr.
chulita poor you...hope your dd recovers quickly.
dh yum @ pot noodles! Might have to get some...I haven't indulged in my guilty pleasure of supernoodles for a little while now but if the nausea is back, then why not?! Might post a bump pic, I'm all out front and quite low. You really can't see I'm pregnant from the back so have had a bit of fun scaring people!

I've resorted to comfy trousers tonight - £4 from primark, dead classy but ooooo the comfort! Loads of BH today so I'm just trying to get comfy and not panic that I seem to be having loads at the mo and my hospital bag is only partly sorted out...

viksam sorry posted without thinking - I may be wrong, but I believe it is a blood product so carries a miniscule risk of infection, benefits of not developing sensitisation to Rh massivly outweigh potential risk, but I am so convinced that there would be no circumstances under which I would have another so didn't feel it nessercary.

viksam · 29/04/2010 20:10

Hello everybody,
wonder re Anti-D injection, i got really worried when i read ur post coz I had it last week, i wasnt told of any risk, is there something i should have been made aware of?? It did sting a bit but nothing in comparison to what we are just about to go through. I hope ur around to write back. Ur trip sounds ace, as long as you have ur ticket and ur passport and ur green notes/maternity notes, there isnt much else that u cant buy so dont stress too much if you can help it.
I shop on line occasionally, its good because u dont impulse buy, i think it will come into its own when LO arrives.
I have just booked a 4d scan for a few weeks time when my sister comes to visit, i dont know if its the right thing to do but im very curious and i think she and DH will enjoy it. Im just worried that it will throw up something horrid. Hmmmm, not sure that its worth the worry.

This was posted on the old thread but i have copied it here in case anyone has and Anti D info.

Spirael · 29/04/2010 20:17

You reminded me I hadn't posted a bump pic yet despite promising to, DesperateHousewife! I've stuck one up now. Only 28 weeks today, but I seem huge compared to some of the other pics. Also seem to be carrying pretty high?

I'm only around 5'3 so I guess there's nowhere for the baby to go but out! Next MW appointment is next Friday, so we'll see if I'm still measuring a couple of weeks larger than I should. My family, unfortunately, has a reputation for producing leg-crossingly large babies.

I feel a bit better about removing the ring now, thanks to those who responded. I reckon I probably could still wear it without worrying too much most of the time, but I don't want to suddenly wake up one day and not be able to get it to budge! Figure I'll play it safe and have a naked finger for the next few months.

Spirael · 29/04/2010 20:23

Oh, and just to add that I think I've been having some BHs too! Feels kinda like someone squeezing my innards for maybe 30 seconds or so, but isn't painful or anything. Does that sound likely? LO seems to go a bit manic afterwards.

I've been only having them sporadically for the most part, maybe one a day or so. Then I had about five strong ones in a row earlier, minutes apart. I was starting to wonder whether or not I needed to worry, but then they went away again...so I figured it was probably fine.

DesperateHousewife21 · 29/04/2010 20:39

Thanks for putting the pic up spirael it is quite high but as you say if you are 5"3 then it will be sticking out whereas mine can hide all over the place!

wwsw Im also all out front and low, you cant tell at all from the back so Ive been told.
I think you should def put a pic up though

WickedWitchSouthWest · 29/04/2010 20:41

lol spirael I'm only 5'3" too and outwards is the only way! My dd was fully engaged at my 34 wk appt, so head right in my pelvis and her massive feet wedged under my ribs, twas not fun. Lucky for me she was only 4 days over

Sounds like you are having BH's too. I've had ALOT today, I'm thinking I might be a bit dehydrated so going to down a few glasses of water, as soon as I've stopped feeling sick after dinner, that is.

I'm doing my best waynetta slob impression tonight....saggy loose trousers and no bra. Nice!

Wonderstuff · 29/04/2010 21:06

viksam sorry to worry you - I'm no expert but think it is a blood product so carries a tiny theoretical risk of infection, benefits for most people far outweigh risk.

viksam · 29/04/2010 21:20

Wicked my god Im like that every night.....when im at home!! Id love to be able to get comfortable though. Still got that HORRID feeling under my boobs and also now some back pain and restless legs too, i think thats why im sooo tired coz my body just cant seem to relax.
Wonder Dont worry its fine, i guess there is a slight risk with anything like that, the liklihood is that this will be my one and only child but never say never, once my body has learned what to do i might go on and on!! he hehe!!
Re rings, i dont seem to have had that affliction yet so cant comment.
spireal ur pic is ace, u look lovely and neat, the BH sound alarming, glad they went away quick, i havent had the joy of them yet, u say they are not painfull?
LO is knocking around tonight, think s/he is boared coz im feigning interest in the debate!!

stac14 · 29/04/2010 21:28

sorry dh life manic at the mo but going to get a bump pic on asap, i am all front too but with ds i was massive everywhere lol

chulita and mlic hope your lo's get better soon. I'm knackered and my ds is 11 so hats off to you two

spireal think i have had bh too. Didnt get them with ds but assuming thats what it is

wwsw lol at waynetta slob, its great to be wearing comfy clothes isnt it?

I seem to be accumulating a quite a few maternity clothes, do you think i could sell them on ebay when lo is born? Doubt i'l get much money but better than nothing x

OP posts:
Wonderstuff · 29/04/2010 21:30

If I wasn't absolutly 100% certain I would have had the jab - but I would like to get sterilised after this, I just couldn't face another pregnancy.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 29/04/2010 21:35

viksam I so don't envy you the restless legs, that just sounds awful. My lo is also giving me grief between BH's. Mind you dh has put the football on and Euro stuff really doesn't interest me at all.

stac I seem to have 7 pairs of maternity jeans - some from last time and some new ones I bought in the hope they wouldn't fall down so I'm goingto wait til Aug/Sept and get them on ebay. I have one pair of cords which stay up but none of the jeans do and it's really annoying so I've been wearing leggings with a skirt or dress.

Chulita · 30/04/2010 09:12

Morning all!
I'm only 5ft3 too so I look a lot bigger, I must get a bump pic up soon
viksam I had awful restless legs with DD so you have my sympathies.
I just splashed out on a wrap around shirt and a cardi from Jojomamanbebe. I know I've got less than 3 months to go but I was just so sick of my clothes on the plus side I should be able to wear the cardi while bfing too, now to wait for the postman!
I've been getting bh for a few weeks now. I didn't get them with DD til a lot closer to the time but sometimes they can be almost painful.
stac most of my maternity clothes come from ebay, they tend to sell quite well especially if they're M&P, Next or a well known baby brand.

viksam · 30/04/2010 09:13

Morning ladies,
Thank crunchie its friday!! Im off to brum later to see my friends and family, we have a big family meal on sunday, my sister says that the family are dying to see me and my bump, I worried now coz i have nothing to wear!!

Stac ur lucky to have so many clothes, all my money is going into the house, i have one pair of jeans and one pair of work trousers, thats bad isnt it! I went to the NCT nearly new sale last week, it was quite good and people were selling off clothes there, u might get more doing it that way.

wicked Where did u get ur cords from? My Jeans are only from Peacocks and they are ace, i only discovered the elastic and the button after a few weeks of wearing them so they do stay up now, hehe!

Really going to have an easy day today, i have done far too much over the last few days and been having really crappy sleeps so its catching up on me now.

Whats everyone got planned for the weekend?

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/04/2010 09:37

Morning all,

Im going to see my sister today and her kids, havent seen them all in a while so will be nice.

Not too sure what DP and I are up to over the weekend, prob going to have a slob out day on Sun as the weather is forecast for heavy rain. I want to get out either Sat or Mon though as its bank hol. Not really sure whats going on in my area though, will check local paper tonight.

I think LO might be squashing my bowel cos when I have wind it really hurts to the point I have to take pressure off that area i.e get off the sofa! Hope he shifts soon!

Spirael · 30/04/2010 09:51

Morning all! Just got to make it through today at work, then it's a nice long weekend thanks to the bank holiday - woo! Too bad the weather is going to be a bit grotty, but then my plan mostly involves finding my house underneath all the DIY stuff that's been cluttering it, so not much to do outside anyway.

I'm glad I'm not the only shortass individual of diminuative height in the group, it's a relief to know that others in the same height bracket have found their bumps going outwards too! Admittedly my MW didn't seem too worried that I was measuring a couple of weeks ahead last time. Though I have a niggly feeling that if it continues I'm going to be sent for a sizing scan.

The BH's (assuming that's what they are) aren't painful, viksam. It feels kind of like someone putting a belt around just the front part of my abdomen and pulling it a notch tighter than I'd usually wear, or kinda like LO is spreading their feet against the front of the womb and pushing off my spine for long stretches to cause an expanding kind of internal pressure.

It's noticable and feels a bit weird, but I can just ignore the sensation and go about whatever it is I happened to be doing at the time, which I think is the important difference. I believe if you have to stop what you're doing, that's when it becomes a problem? Or when it's combined with blood/fluid loss.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 30/04/2010 11:09

chulita I've splashed out on Le Sac dress from American Apparel the plus side is it's really loose and flowy so I won't stretch it and as it's not maternity I should get some wear out of it afterwards too!

viksam my cords are from my pg with dd, they're topshop moto ones. The buttons are right in on those! Nothing else seems to stay up! Even the same style moto jeans don't work. I'm used to not wearing jeans now, instead I bought a couple of stretchy skirts from H&M (not maternity, just bought bigger sizes) so wearing those with leggings. Got a longer skirt and a couple of maxi dresses so that's me sorted I think. I've also been overdoing it a bit, trying to chill for an hour now and bed early tonight

spirael the BH's shouldn't hurt, just be exactly like you say, a bit of internal pressure. If you get fluid/blood loss, or they hurt or become regular then get thee to the midwife

dh sorry had a little lol moment at your bowel getting squashed!.

This weekend I'm taking dd to see a local production of HSM (can't wait ) but at least get lunch in the pizza place beforehand! Then Sunday we're chilling out then packing and off to center parcs on Monday - can't wait now!

Fingers crossed for some reasonable weather

kkfairybrains · 30/04/2010 11:25

just a quick post as in between customers here having a quick cuppa!
spireal lovely bump pic! i really like the shirt you have on in it and what i like even more is...............the cakes in the pic underneath!did you make them?
dont think im getting bh but after doing the deed the other night i was getting real bad pains in my lower stomach and kind of up my stomach so was thinking thats what it was cos it was coming and going?
dh i get that too with the wind!
also the odd time ,not all the time, im getting real bad pressure in my bum and fanjo and its very painful when i bend down. was doing a wee the other day with the door open talking to dp and mid pee i started screaming with the pain and had to get up off the loo......while stil peeing! dp thought it was just hilarious but i was too sore to laugh!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 30/04/2010 11:37

kk I get that pressure in my bum and fanjo! My bump is quite low so I think my poor old pelvic floor is getting a real workout!

Chulita · 30/04/2010 12:16

kk I've had that pressure for about 2 months now. Peeing is painful and squatting is horrible (and I squat a lot with a toddler pottering about) Grr!

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/04/2010 14:46

kk Yeah I get that pressure too it really is excruciating!

Also I have the NHS pregnancy planner on my desktop it opens by itself when I turn my laptop on and it gives me facts and things in the news every day relating to pregnancy.
So today I open an article about how home fetal heart monitors are dangerous for baby's health so clicked on it to read and it was about a woman who thought her baby's movements had reduced so she listened to the heartbeat with her own monitor and she picked it up. Well it turns out it was act her own heartbeat she could hear and when she went to the hospital to be checked her baby had sadly died.
I feel like everything I come across nowadays is just people's baby's dying in the womb and its making me feel more and more adament its going to happen to me, its as if these type of stories are following me!
I just read it and thought oh for goodness sake how many more of these stories am I going to read and go out of my mind worrying about my LO.

Sorry for the depressive post ladies just having one of those days, really must go to the docs and talk to her about it.

kapars · 30/04/2010 15:12

Hi ladies, I am 30 weeks today and feel very uncomfortable and huge. I am very lucky that I work from home most days. I went for a walk to the shops and it totally wore me out and I am finding it difficult just pottering around the house.
Is anyone else feeling totally exhausted physically? I was relatively energetic last week.

desperate I think it would be a good idea to see your doctor to talk about how you are feeling and to put your mind at rest.
One thing that is really helping me are the natal hypnotherapy cds. I have only listened to the first one so far - pregnancy relaxation and it really does work and puts you in a positive mind for the whole day.
If you don't want to get the 4 box set you can just get the pregnancy relxation one. It may help lift your spirits? You can order online from ebay.

I haven't felt any BH yet just lots of crazy baby jumping.

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/04/2010 15:21

kapars yeah I def will go and speak to doc and Ill have a look on ebay for the relaxation cd I could really do with something like that!

Thanks for your help its difficult to be taken seriously when I keep banging on about something I dont want people to start thinking oh here she goes again.
