I see there's been hundreds more joined since I last posted. In fact I think I missed the whole last thread
I'm loving the new title, yes, that is a bump you can see. It's bloody huge too. Maternity Jeans are hopeless. They fit lovely round the tummy but sag on the bottom as soon as you sit down.

Ah well, re any of you finding out what you're having? I cant bloody wait. I'm only 13 weeks too. I'm so impatient

Fruity--I don't want to know and dh wants to know, so we are currently debating that. I found out with the other two, but I want to know what it feels like to be surprised.

DP doesn't want to find out...but I do! We are both adamant about our decisions...so i am going to take a pen and an encelope and as the sonographer to write it down for me to look at when DP is not there!!!

I don't think we'll be finding out the sex - our hospital will tell if you ask, but I think (I think I think...) that I want the surprise. Besides, I am already convinced it's a girl, and I don't know that I want to put my unreasonable certainty to the test so soon!

I'm finding out.... I'm way too impatient!

As for finding out, i would like to but dh doesn't want to. Although we would have to pay £100plus as they won't tell us at our hospital.

My main reason for finding out is so we don't have weeks of arguing about names. As the last two times we have taken weeks to decide on girls names, but have a boys name chosen as dh wants to name a boy after his dad. So if anyone has any ideas for girls names which go with DD1 Elizabeth Anne and DD2 Alexandra Grace i will be vary .

well, been for my 16 week mw appointment today - all well, heard the heartbeat for the first time!!! amazing!

that's it till 28 weeks!

think am going to start mat leave at 29 weeks this time!!! that's the week before Christmas, hurrah!!!!

I'd like to find out what we're having (DH isn't arguing about this so I am presuming he's OK with it - or he has decided not to start that do you want to try having it argument!) but a friend of mine has just had her 20 week scan and the baby wasn't really co-operating so they couldn't find out.

And I've been to have more blood taken today and even though all my trousers are now increasingly tight - have already ordered some nice maternity ones from Next and bought some slouchy (and cheap) ones for home from peacocks - I was very impressed to find out I haven't actually put any weight on in the last 6 weeks. So may be it is all the baby and not just getting fat (becos I have already started eating for 2).

Hi girls, I defo have a bump now and thank god that my appetite has decreased. Seeing midwife again next week. I've decided to do all NHS this time and have my little one at a hospital this time. My midwife was very pushy towards a home birth.... but i said that at the moment I'd like to give birth in the hospital. I am sure I am bit against the majority here but that's what I prefer.
What about you?

Ah, gagging to know the sex... dunno how some women can wait the whole 9 months without knowing!

Hectic as work as ever but coping much better than a few weeks ago.

I'm not finding out what we're having, I want it to be a surprise! DH wanted to know, so we compromised. I agreed to have the nuchal fold thingy scan and the detailed anamoly scan later on, (which I didnt want), if he agreed to not find out the gender.
I'm still feeling crap, morning sickness has come back after a couple of weeks reprieve, I burst into tears at work this morning because I was so tired and fed up of being ill. I hate my job too, which might have had something to do with it.

Def gonna have a surprise as this will be our last (planned) baby! I had surprises with 2dds and found out sex with ds, both were nice in different ways, is as much a lovely surprise at the scan as it is if you wait till the birth but just think a wee surprise would be nice this time we have all the pink and blue stuff anyway!
So jealous you are all scanned and have m/w apps I don't get scanned or see anyone for another 2 weeks and I will be 16 weeks by then! Paranoid that something might have gone wrong and I have to wait so long, but when I'm being rational I relise I feel better because the 1st trimester is over HURRAH, and also my belly is definitely thickening! Hate not telling any one till then though cos its #4 and my stomach muscles are not what they used to be I am convinced every one knows, don't you think once you tell people the first thing they do is stare at ur belly!
Any way sorry for the long boring post dcs are in bed, dh is watching footy and I am bored!

Emma - The bestest book in the whole world ever for me is Libby Purves - 'How NOT to be a perfect mother'. You can't beat it. Funny, down to earth commonsense, it has been my comfort blanket for the last 8 years. You can probably get it cheap on ebay.

Sunshine - Give me a hospital every time - I'm surprised that your mw was pushing you to have a homebirth - they are usually more hassel for the midwives as they are usually short staffed and it makes things more difficult for them. Maybe there are a surplus where you are!! Anyway, it you have the bambino at home, that's a whole lot of mess to clean up and it's nice having someone bring you cups of tea and being there on hand with any questions you might have or painkillers you will might need!

Ana - I'm sick of being sick too. It sucks. Overall, I think I am getting better but still have some pretty crap moments but it doesn't seem to be so constant and debilitating. Hard to keep your spirits up when you've been throwing up every day for 11 weeks!

Re: Finding out the gender, I had a surprise with the last two, but I am thinking about finding out about this one as we really have to plan. Especially if it is a boy. We would have to pay for a 20wk scan tho and not sure if we can afford it.

I got on the scale today, and I haven't gained a pound yet. YEAH!!!!! Definitely getting a bump though. Dh said, "Your boobs and belly are bigger"

Morning all

My m/s seems to have made a return its not as bad as it was but I am peed off to see it again.

Everyone tells me I look well and I am showing a bump now too. There must be something in 2nd trimester blooming that I can't see!

Our bathroom scales broke the day after I found out I was preg - have decided to take this as a sign that I should not weigh myself and should just eat everything ever...

However, I know the midwives will be dumping me on the scales every three seconds - doctors always do because they think I'm too small. Meanies. There's nothing wrong with being little. (erm, when you're not anorexic obviously!!)

God, daren't weigh myself, feel huge!! MUST have put on weight I think
