Sorry to post list again, but I keep meaning to update but then think "Oh, I can't post the list again!"

I'm so . I didn't feel either of the other two until after 20 weeks, and even then they were never big movers.

We have colds here too. I just keep drinking chammomile tea with honey in it. I hate being sick while pregnant.

For those of you with colds, my Nan's old remedy for colds was hot water, oranges and sugar. Either have a mug of hot water with a couple of orange wedges in and some sugar (or honey), or slice up an orange on a plate (with a rim), pour some hot water over and sprinkle some sugar, then eat. Entirely safe for pregnancy, gives you the boost of a lemsip without the drugs. Told a pregnant colleague in spring and she said it worked a treat, so hope it helps!

I had my scan on Tuesday (13+2) and saw very clear picture of bean - was amazing! Still feeling ill and sick on Tues evening and this morning, so clinging on to those of you who have said you're feeling better at 14/15 weeks. We go on hols 3 weeks on Sat, so hopefully I'll feel better by then.

Sorry didn't post much on last thread because I couldn't keep up and also every time I read the title, it made me feel sick , but I'll try better with this one!

I am so jealous starshinetiger because GP wouldnt believe that I didnt fall into the wonderfully medical 28 day cycle and ovulating on day 14 I was forced to have my scan early - at what turned out to be 10+3 so bean wasnt terrible wriggly!! Looked more like a fish out of water...flopping every so often!! I can wait for next scan to see proper movement!!!

Thaks for the cold remedy...I am going to try that tonight...anythig is worth a go!!

I am absolutely jiggered! Feel like I need to sleep for a week!

I am convinced I will never know when the baby moves and will just chalk it up to wind/indigestion every time! (Speaking of -- does anyone else get horrible evening bloating/gut cramps? Mine gears up at around 18h and it's just miserable for a few hours!)

I do have some good news to report: I posted a while back on my parents' less-than-positive reaction to the pregnancy, which really did sadden me. I was away on hols for a week, and spoke to them for the first time since that first convo last night and OH MY LORD, the DIFFERENCE! I think they've spent the past ten days deluged with calls and emails from family congratulating them, and their so-called judgmental friends have all apparently received the news with cries of joy. So my mother has turned into a wacky gran-in-training she is telling everyone, and I mean everyone (strangers in restaurants, her physical therapist, gas station attendants), "I'm going to be a grandma! Oh my goodness! I never thought it would happen!"

She's even bought "What to Expect When You're Expecting" so she can bone up on what's happening, and she and my father are salivating over cot and pram purchases.

Go figure.

Have my booking scan tomorrow - phoned up my MW to say that she should give the scan to someone else as we'd already had one privately and explained what was happening - and she was so sweet and said that she thought it would be lovely for me to see my wee bean and that I should just have the scan and to enjoy it!

So I am just trying to enjoy being pregnant at the moment and not worrying about what might happen. As dh said it will not be good for me or the bean if I am stressed and tearful!

This is my 2nd and I'm coming up to 16 weeks and absolutely know I've felt flutterings. Only a few times but I recognise them from the first time. It's lovely

Very pleased for you corgikelly, that is lovely news. It makes all the difference when your family is supportive.

My tip for feeling the baby move is to eat a big meal and then slouch on the sofa, upright(ish) rather than horizontal. My bean kicks me like it's telling me off for squashing it!

Is 14 weeks too early to feel any movement? I'm not sure if what I can feel is sproglet or not!
Found out today that, hopefully, if I'm allowed to take all my remaining annual leave, I can leave work on 10th December. Woo-hoo!
Don't know why, but I think I'm going to have a boy. No reason, just a feeling. I'm not going to find out, so I'll be doing the full range of old wives tales tests when I'm a bit further along. Has anyone correctly predicted the sex of their baby by doing the wedding ring/needle over the bump tests?

Have a thread in chat atm, because I walked in front of a bus! Think I'm fine, but am being marched to A&E by the midwife, DP and my dad who think I have concussion...

We're not going to find out the sex (I'm coming up 17 weeks now, my scan's 4 weeks tomorrow!). I'm convinced it's a girl, my boyfriend's inclined to agree but says he's up for being surprised on the day so we've decided to say no when they ask us.

I've not had any cravings yet, should they have started by now, if I were to get any? You can tell this is my first, can't you, all I'm doing is asking questions!
Just found a list of old wives tales about working out the sex of the baby. After studying the list and comparing it to my symptoms so far I can safely say that I'm having a boy or a girl!

slickbird, saw you getting a hard time on another thread a few days ago which was really unfair. I hope you are ok and not upset by it. I also got a hard time for agreeing with you! By some coincidence, I'm also due on 28th Feb! Maybe our hormones are making us a bit sensitive!

Just scrolling through the messages and saw yours about having an awkward beany for the scan. Mine was exactly the same! I was asked to jump up and down and when that didnt work I also got sent off for real coke and chocolate!

Was lovely- til I felt sick half an hour later!

Morning ladies!! I am still all achey in the pelvic area...and I am beginning to get annoyed at all the things they don't tell you about being pregnant...they should be better advertised!!! Not that it would have made any difference...but it would have been nice to be prepared!

anathema don't worry...I am a complete novice too!! And I ask a lot of stupid questions!!!!

I am hoping this weekend flies by...have to do all the washing/houseowrk on saturday, then its DPs birthday on Sunday...then I am with the midwife onmonday...can't wait to hear bambinos HB for the first time (i am useless with doppler!!)

Have put my due date as it should be as it keeps coming up as the old due date!

Am thinking of ringing my manager today and telling her. As I work nights I don't get to see her often and if I do it's when she's just arriving and I am leaving, so thought I would ring and tell her and arrange a meeting.

Hey all.

Have spent last night and most of this morning at hospital (after I got hit by a bus last night) but apparently I'm fine. Just a few bruises.

They let me hear grumpalump's heartbeat to check he was okay, and it was so fast! I'm really relieved he's okay was getting quite stressed about it last night.

I'm glad your both ok Laweaselmys. The babies haert beat is fast normally between 140 and 160+ per minute.

Am sitting on hands trying to resist the urge to ask if you had clean knickers on .

Ha ha, I always have clean knickers on! (they were horribly mismatched though)

It wasn't that serious an accident though, the bus was going very slowly, I didn't even fall over. I'm just pretty achy now, bruised shoulder and sore neck...
