Id like to say i am up because im feeding ds but he isnt due until 5, no what woke me up was him doing a poo, he is very noisy and all drama when he poos. I tried to feed him but he had 20ml then rejected it, so im watching him slowly falling back asleep trying to decide what to do 😂 (hope he doesnt wake until 6!)

@dreamcatchmee i love a burst of energy though then it leaves you shattered!

@FishyBaby oh bless you! I really hope bubba comes soon!

@Beanniebaby22 im glad it went well with the gp. But oh i feel for you the guilt about breastfeeding is horrible, as someone who had been there and had it play a part in pnd all i can say is breast feeding is not the bee all and end all. Its great if it works but if it doesnt that is ok and not on you at all. You are doing great and a great mummy just remember that 😊

@greenerfingers @tb4122 oh bless you both! I promise you wont be pregnant forever! The end is in sight!

@Kathno4 its last one here too (and i only have 2 how you have done it 4 times i dont know!) im trying to make the most of every second! And its my excuse for constant cuddles 😂

@CurlyNo2 that sounds so hard! I dont know why these people are so horrible, its the one time you need someone to be nice and help. Ds lost his birth weight i thought it was normal.
Not knowing you arse from your elbow is the best saying im going to use it!
Mum guilt is the worst feeling, i am having it with ds1, i keep asking him if he is ok which is driving him up the wall 😂 the answers i get is like having a teenager 😂. I just try to have a cuddle and a kiss as often as i can, for both our sakes and chat to him while im feeding ds. Hopefully he can see im trying

Hi everyone, congratulations to all those who have had their little ones! I gave birth via c section last week and have been in hospital pretty much since, am out now thankfully but am very bruised on my abdomen - is anyone else bruised after c section? My midwife thought it might be from the injections but it’s lower than I think they were given so I’m a bit worried. My scar is healing well with no signs of infection but hurts on one side like a stinging pain whenever I stretch by getting in bed or lifting that leg or something

Our little one entered the world on 24th November, due on 18th.

Not quite the birth we had planned, involving the birth centre, a super quick dilation (3-10 cm in 4 hours for a first baby), delivery suite and a C section.

Don't really care that it didn't go to plan, what matters is that she is here!

Grgs · 25/11/2022 08:35

@sarahj878 I had quite a big bruise come up about 3 days after my c section. Also getting a weird stabbing pain on one side when I move to get up etc. My scar has had to be looked at though and I've been put on antibiotics for just in case but if it's healing well I'm sure that's all normal x

I’ve found you…. thanks for new thread.

I’ve made the decision to stop trying to BF for my own mental health. Baby boy seems happy enough on formula and my first was FF so I’m not beating myself up about it. I got further than I did with DS1 so chuffed about that. Nervous to tell the BF support worker who made me feel like shit this week…

I ended up back in hospital as it looks like I have endometrisis, an infection in the lining of my womb. Been given two lots of antibiotics and been told to go back even for the slightest change as it could develop into sepsis easily… so that has frightened me.

Has anybody else who has a c-section had very minimal bleeding? I’m hardly getting anything on a pad and I’m only day 8. Am I expecting a big flood soon? Plus the colour has changed now to a pale peach colour. I remember bleeding for a long time following my vaginal delivery.

@CurlyNo2 You have to do what’s right for you, Baby is being fed and that’s all that matters. Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell, this postnatal period is no picnic!!

DS is 2 weeks old tomorrow 🥺 And last night we had a breakthrough with the breastfeeding, I ordered nipple shields as suggested by the health visitor and now he’s latching on and feeding no problem. I could have cried, felt like it was never going to happen!

Report

CurlyNo2 · 26/11/2022 12:07

@Beanniebaby22 Thank you, you’re right. To be honest switching to formula exclusively, baby is a lot more alert, looks brighter. Only downside he is very constipated and screams all night as he just can’t settle until about 3am.

How are you getting on? I seem to be suffering from real health anxiety following the birth. I think because I had such a bad first experience, I just keep expecting the worst.

@CurlyNo2 yes same with the anxiety, more so about baby than myself.
