Well I hope to, I think I was imagining the faint line this morning as still too early to tell but fingers crossed eh.

Congratulations when are you due?

Bejeena · 24/08/2015 06:37

Well today there was still a very faint line, but slightly more prominent than yesterday. Oooooooo

Seeyalater · 24/08/2015 08:11

Yay! I got this beauty yesterday! Feels a bit less like I imagined it now ???? due date would be around 4th may, same week as my sons 4th birthday so that would be really lovely.

Oh lovely congratulations my due date would be 3rd May I think. I have a clearblue test ready to do either tomorrow or day after. I still don't fully believe it and had a mmc in May so not getting any hopes up yet. Will be my second too.

Seeyalater · 24/08/2015 14:32

I know what you mean, not daring to get too excited so early on.

mariahgiselle · 25/08/2015 15:38

Had a couple of faint bfps last week and got a strong one today. So due date will be early May. Got a doctor's appointment booked for next week, it's so hard not to get really excited especially as it will be my first. Congrats to all!

DorotheaHomeAlone · 25/08/2015 16:27

Just got a BFP on Sunday and been itching to tell someone so thought I'd come here and tell you guys! My due date should be around 30 April/1 may.

I knew I was pregnant before I took the test as I'd been doing little burps and getting heartburn just like last time. I also had a stuffy nose. None of these convinced DH, oddly enough, so I had to resort to more traditional proof and take a test!

DorotheaHomeAlone · 25/08/2015 16:33

Oops, forgot to say congratulations! This'll be my second, too.

gubbinsy · 25/08/2015 16:41

Me too please - positive this morning - due 30 April/1 May. Will be second.

Bejeena · 25/08/2015 18:56

Faint line almost believable this morning, but I still can't get excited. Clearblue tomorrow

Seeyalater · 25/08/2015 21:08

Good luck with that clearblue bejeena!
Congrats Marian, Dorothea, gubbinsy, exciting times.

How old are your other children dorothea bejeena and gubbinsy

Got bfp on sat night, and 3 more since Smile due early May, can't remember when my last period was, oops!

This will be dc3. Have ds10 and ds11 months. Also had 3 mc unfortunately so getting an early scan in the next couple of weeks.
Anyone any symptoms yet??

Bejeena · 26/08/2015 04:45

Clearblue positive so I do now believe it. I will also be getting ant least one (we live abroad so it is more common and included standard) early scan but don't see the point in booking anything yet. Plus we are going on holiday on Friday for a week, at least that will help me keep my mind off it.

Not had any symptoms yet but didn't start with my son (2 last month) until 6 weeks.

gubbinsy · 26/08/2015 05:55

Congratulations all! DS is 21 months Seeya. Going to be interesting to see what pregnancy and toddler are like! No real symptoms so far other than tiredness but that's pretty normal anyway as DS still not best at sleeping!

DorotheaHomeAlone · 26/08/2015 07:22

Dd just turned one. I'm hoping for another easy pregnancy as last time I escaped morning sickness altogether.

Bejeena · 26/08/2015 11:25

I was as sick as a dog between 7 and 14 weeks last time and goodness knows how I will cope with a toddler if I am same this time around.

gubbinsy · 26/08/2015 18:56

I think I escaped sickness last time although did have to eat all morning! I got PGP quite badly though in 2nd & 3rd trimester - couldn't walk some days - that's a bit worrying this time round - days on sofa less easy!

Seeyalater · 26/08/2015 22:17

I was pretty lucky last time, no sickness etc. Impressed with the bravery of some smallish age gaps, daren't to it again til my big one was biggish Grin I miss sleep too much and thought I'd die if I had two waking up small people in my house!

Brave or foolish!Grin she sleeps through thankfully although I know that can change in an instant.

What reaction are people with bigger dc expecting when they break the news?

Excelsa · 27/08/2015 23:43

Hello all and congratulations! I am due early May, and having lurked on the mumsnet antenatal clubs during my previous pregnancies (2 DC boys aged 3 and 1), I thought I'd come out and try and join in this time. It's still very early days... but already looking at trying to find a bigger car!

PonderousTortoise · 28/08/2015 20:39

Hello all! I'm technically due late April, but the April thread is humongous so thought I'd leap on this one if that's ok.

Have two dc who'll be 4 and 5 when this one due. V excited about third, but feel much more nervous about this one than I did last two. had really hoped to have had a third earlier and now at the largest gap I can imagine having and the oldest I would really want to have a baby so this feels like last chance baby!

dorothea re reactions - tbh I am dreading telling anyone. I have friends who are desperate for kids but still single, friends who wanted three but stuck with two for health or financial reasons, a friend I suspect is ttc but not sure how it's going, and I think my mum will be worried about me being out of work for longer! (became sahm 2 years ago kind of accidentally). With dc2 it was definitely expected by people and not as much excitement as dc1.

Seeyalater · 28/08/2015 23:17

Everyone here is constantly asking when dc2 will be coming along as we have just moved house, so am expecting lots of "I knew it"s when the news comes out. My son really loves babies to the point where he keeps asking if I have a baby in my tummy,Grin so he will be over the moon.
PT- it'll probably be quite a lovely thing to have that gap, more time to go back to doing the baby groups and things, I know I planned a sizeable gap because I wanted my son to be at preschool so I could really enjoy all the baby groups etc again as prob will stick at two dc for us.
Excelsa- loving the practical thinking "how will I get all these seats in the car", good luck with that.

Ps the mumsnet app has been shut down for anyone like me who couldn't get on,

ODog · 29/08/2015 10:22

Marking my place. Have had 2 very faint positives but the second one was stronger so feeling positive. If this sticks i will have a due date of 6th may, but I imagine that will end up more like mid May if it turns out like DS (10days late!).

I'm 27 and have a DS who is almost 15mo, so fx this works out and he will have a sibling close in age :).

Vap0 · 29/08/2015 10:31

Hello!
Can I join in?

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL Flowers

I'm 4+4 today with a due date of 3rd May [Grin]
Been trying for 23 months so it was an amazing and almost unbelievable shock when I saw that faint line.
Confirmed the faint ic lines with a frer on Monday morning Grin
Had some cramping and a little brown spotting yesterday, called the dr's and he wanted me in quick, saw him yesterday and he wants me in for an early scan. Can't go due to being away with work until Friday so they will call me on Tuesday with a time and date.
Feeling very positive about everything though as spotting and cramping has stopped and am getting on with being excited again.
Not told family or friends yet although they will notice the 1st time we see them as I'm not one to turn down a drink.
Has anyone bought anything yet?
I suppose a lot of posters on here already have dc so most likely won't need to.
We are super lucky that we will inherit a lot of stuff from my bro who's youngest dd will be 1 when our dc is born. He offered it to me before his dd was even born
In fact I'm a little aprehensive about telling them as I can imagine a car load of baby things will be dropped off the next day and we have a tiny tiny house.
What non alcoholic drinks has everyone found? I'm enjoying black currant cordial with soda water when we are in the pub and it looks like a rekorderlig (to friends who we haven't told yet).
Also has anyone got any recommendations for good pregnancy books?
Has anyone had any early scans yet?
