i've been watching discovery health this morning, feeling somewhere between horror and tears at all the beutiful new baby's! (horror at the poor mummy's screaming - i don't remember doing that!)

OP posts:
HopingCat · 21/07/2006 14:16

saralou - Every time I see anything on TV about giving birth I burst into tears. It's happy tears rather than fear (I think) and I'm just hoping I don't spend my own labour and birth in floods of tears!

It's odd not knowing what is going to happen to you, but then again maybe all you people who have had babies before are more fearful because they know what it's like? I am starting to wonder how a bump this size is going to come out of me And I've got 15 weeks left yet so I might be very scared by November.

CattyB · 21/07/2006 14:19

Well done that woman! Didn't have a clue how to do a new thread.

I'm with you Saralou on birth making me all tearful - got to admit to being a bit of a screamer in labour - but mostly because it helped my cope without drugs or entonox as opposed to being due to the actual pain itself (I think - does that make sense at all...?).

Charlee · 21/07/2006 15:51

OP posts:
Charlee · 21/07/2006 19:03

Hi, its sooooo hot today and all people keep saying is how terrible it must be to be pregnant in this heat!!! How big is everyone, i have a deffinate bump, but i did with DS aswell. Im suffering with really bad carpal tunnel syndrome, apart from that im good which is a relief i had a nightmare pg last time so im pretty happy with the way things are going this time.

It sounds stupid but with DS i didnt even think about giving birth i just went in was induced and did it, this time im s**t scared i dont know why!

staceym11 · 22/07/2006 10:36

charlee, you remember me?? im due nov 13th! what a coincidence! how are you and ds?

Delia · 22/07/2006 10:51

Well done sara on the new thread i am very impressed as would not have known where to start!

Well have been told i can have my fit to fly letter so Canada here i come! not looking forward to the flight but should get lots of attention from the inlaws whilst over there and will be spoilt rotten for bringing the first of the new generation even in bump form! roll on the 31st!

DebbsyandBibby · 22/07/2006 16:58

hi all im back right time for a big catch up

Mummy2Toby · 22/07/2006 18:51

Hi everyone - hope we are all okay ..... well I am a lucky girl, my mums had a cheque through from her premium bonds and she bought ds a little tikes play house, dh a pair of trainers, and she has said that she will pay for a 4d scan for me! I really wanted one but couldn't justify the money, so I have spoken to a compnay today and they have booked me in for next Friday I can't wait, I will speak to them on Monday to confirm the appt but it looks like I will have real proof that bump is a girl by Friday - I will let you all know how I get on
oh and welcome charlee - sorry got a bit carried away with my own news there

DebbsyandBibby · 22/07/2006 21:09

welcome charlee are you the old charlee peters? we were on the old ttc threads together.

podglet · 23/07/2006 16:22

Hi all - am back!

Hi Charlee, glad you have come over (ps I used to be Jen1209!) lovely to "see" you on here

Rhodes was v v v hot (approx 38 in the shade!) but absolutely beautiful. We were in a lovely part called Pefkos which is WELL away from Falkraki! Ate too much and spent our days by the pool - bliss. Am on my 4th load of washing so back with a bump (literally tee hee). Was spoilt rotten on hols, barman from the poolside bar adopted me and we were then very well looked after!

Have seen the weather reports from the UK though and it doesn't look like we should have bothered going away, we could have sat in our own heat wave!!!

Hope everyone else is ok, haven't had time for a proper catch up but Happy Birthday to those that have had them and am sorry to have missed the virtual party!

Will try & catch up soon

NatalieJane · 24/07/2006 09:10

Morning everyone

Hope everyone had a a good weekend, welcome to Charlee, glad you had a good time Podglet, and thanks for the new thread (I think that is everything!)

Everything fine here, weather hasn't been so good over the last few days, but it brightened up lovely in time for a BBQ last night, and today the sun is shining with his hat on Sorry to those of you that hate the weather at the moment, but it doesn't seem to be hot enough for me!

First proper day of the summer holidays today - wish me luck!! LOL

Have a good day

saralou100 · 24/07/2006 11:18

aargh... mil was supposed to be coming tomorrow, but has decided she's so excited she's gonna come today!! i had it all planned out have a nice cool day with ds, stroll round tesco's later then when ds in bed tidy the house when it's a bit cooler... now i'm gonna have to rush round all day my face will be this colour later, it's very hot here!!

OP posts:
staceym11 · 24/07/2006 12:16

morning everyone! well got so excited about charlee joining didnt talk about anything else.

havnt been on much since last weds as on thurs had a funny turn while washing up and fainted, hitting my head on one of the cabinet handles on the way down, so much fun!

so have been putting my feet up and relaxing making sure it doesnt happen again, it wasnt much fun! mum and dad are trying to buy us an air conditioner for our wedding present so i can have it now but no where has any!!! so im still melting and going dizzy, damn this low bp!

hope everyone else ok, gotta go sort out baby stuff.

mummytotoby i havnt managed the pics yet, really sorry dp been rushing round after me all weekend will get him onto the camera drama this evening!! sorry it taking so long!

HopingCat · 24/07/2006 13:43

Stacey - hope you feel ok now. Sounds like you had a bit of an experience last week. Has your head recovered or did you have to walk round with a bump for days?

It amazes me how many different problems are associated with pregnancy, and how many of them are worse when the weather is hot. If it's possible to plan another baby I think I'll go for a Feb/March baby next time, although I suppose I'd be frightened of slipping on ice then.

saralou100 · 24/07/2006 15:43

who turned up the heat? this is becoming unbearable!!

stacey, you poor thing, do take it easy in this heat!! (some people will do anything to avoid doing the washing up)

hopingcat, i had a feb baby, not being very pregnant in the summer was definitely better... but i did slip over on ice, right onto my bottom - it was bruised for weeks!!

have to put shopping away now!!

OP posts:
staceym11 · 24/07/2006 16:13

sarahlou, its funny thats exactly what dp said! !

feeling a bit better now thanks, bump went down quite quick within a few hours as put frozen peas on it (fell asleep with peas attached to head and had to throw them out later as had defrosted beyond revival!)

today hasnt been too bad but now onto CAB to try and sort out he fuck up (sorry about language) with our tax credit, coz theyr now saying we have to repay over a grand from last year! what with cutting our credits and taking that we'r now only getting 60 quid a month and we only make 1000 a month at most, i know people who get more and earn more, jsut cant work it out! havnt had as much of a panic as last time, did cry for a while but feel better about it after sleeping on it and just wanna shout at them (tho i wont im quite self restrained!)

i really have to go and tidy, no fun, oh and in hot weather dd doesnt want a nap so i have a whingy horrible child for the best part of the day, its great!
