hi everyone!

Hope you're all feeling good, or at least ok.

Re the booze: parties etc have got SO boring! And everyone seems so p*ssed! On the other hand, it's nice waking up at the weekend without a hangover.

Re the cheese etc, while I think it's important to be careful with things like cold meats that have been out a while, or seafood, I'm still eating runny cheese when in Europe, and indeed sushi. The reason is that neither I nor anyone I know has ever got listeria from cheese. Though this is also cos I only go back to Europe twice a year and don't want to miss out!

Here in Kazakhstan it's a bit dicey with food poisoning anyway, as you get a bit ill about one in ten times you go out, so am sticking clear of meat in restaurants and just having pasta and veg.

Went to gym today but got completely puffed just doing 20 mins slowly on the striding machine thing; it's hard to realise you're actually preg and need to slow down!

Is everyone feeling less sick now? I'm 11w 2 days but still have issues when passing the deli counters/someone with BO!

totallyfloaty35 · 26/03/2006 11:20

Hi gem,im feeling less sick,i only feel bad if i smell those horrible burger stalls or i start to get hungry,im stll bursting into tears every 5 mins though.im eating pasteurized soft cheese, also still eating soft boiled eggs,as in my last pg you were still allowed to do that

hello every1. i hope that you are all ok :)

is anyone getting any cravings yet? pancakes seems to be all I'm thinking about at the moment lol.

booge · 26/03/2006 18:41

hi all,
re the food, I have been craving sushi like crazy, so I made a huge plate full of sushi rolls using cooked crab which helped abate the cravings, really I think I was just craving the wasabi. I'm not eating soft cheese and that's not too bad but I MISS blue cheese so badly. Still gagging occasionally but getting better every day although I'm still very tired. I'm crying at everything though, I'm a sentimental wreck. I received my first Mothers day card this morning and burst into tears. :)

majormoo · 26/03/2006 19:31

Hi everyone. No cravings for me as such-just missing the cheese, salami, runny eggs, wine as we were saying yesterday.

Have been feeling very teary as well. Nearly cried when I got DDs card this morning. Mind you the pot pourri she made at nursery would bring tears to anyone's eyes-it is stinking the whole house out!

Going for a mother's day drink tonight with the mum's I know from when DD was born. Everyone else will be getting stuck into the wine if it is anything like last time we went out, but I will be using the driving excuse for my sobriety. Don't really want to have to tell them our news just yet.

Annelouise · 27/03/2006 08:31

Hi

Went for my scan on Friday and everything is OK my due date was moved slightly forward to 2 Oct. Am also an emotional wreck have decided to stop watching GMTV while getting ready for work as the stories on there keep making me cry and then DS gets upset!

SKYTVADICT · 27/03/2006 10:40

Hi, can I join? 38 years old, 2 DDs age 9 and 5. Third baby (new DP) due 14 October.

Been keeping up with thread for a couple of weeks after finding the web site while glued to sofa watching all the baby channels I could on Sky. I've been feeling all the things you have been talking about, have been sick and tired which I didn't get with either of the other two. Not been missing wine coz been too sick to fancy it. Been out for 2 meals this weekend and loads of Brie and Mussles on menu which I love but decided against.

Not got dating scan until 7 April.

hana · 27/03/2006 10:44

congrats skytvaddict! I'm expecting my 3rd as well and have 2 dds.
My scan is tomorrow, really nervous.
Seems like some of us are starting to feel a bit better? I can't wait to feel slightly normal again, forget what that is like!

SKYTVADICT · 27/03/2006 10:56

Hi Hana

I haven't been sick since last Wednesday so def starting to feel slightly normal just tired. It was even commented on at school drop off. Apparently I had colour in my cheeks. Bought some travel sickness bands last week and don't want to take them off ever! Not sure when I'm going to try to take them off but something has def changed for the better and I don't want to spoil it.

SKYTVADICT · 27/03/2006 11:09

Hi Hana

Hi again.Yes might be an old hat at being preg but its still so different again. Feeling faint could be a sign of anemia so get your iron levels checked. Careful of constipation though. I found liquorice allsorts helped. I love all the baby programmes on cable. They had baby week last week on Discovery Health and Home on cable. Great stuff. Thats where I got this site from :)Oh well time for the school run already. Catch you ladies later

i was on discovery home births,i am an holistic therapist specializing in pregnancy and the film crew turned up to film one of my ladies,i was very embarrassed and spent most of my interview with a bright red face

OP posts:
Gingeme · 27/03/2006 17:26

Wow Realy you were on Discovery Health? I said to my husband shall we do this baby on tele but he mumbled something about having my bits on show for all to see etc so Im not. I had a water birth with my last baby it was fantastic. It was the only pain relief I had and I was so proud of myself :0. He popped out like a torpedo. In fact we called him that for a few days. It was all so relaxed and the only time he cried was when they gave him the vit k jab. Yes I think the sickness has got to be the worst bit about pregnancy. You know you should be eating to keep your energy levels up but realy cant face anything. A weak cup of tea and a rich tea biscuit before you get up in the morning. Yeah right!

totallyfloaty35 · 27/03/2006 17:48

Gingeme,a water birth is what im hoping for,did you have a homebirth?
