RosiePosie · 20/02/2006 12:23

Hi! Is this going to be our last thread?? Wow, how did that happen?

It's today Toothy has her c-section isn't? Can't wait to hear some news

Munz - as long as the bucket has a secure lid, it won't smell ( until you take the lid off of course ). I have mine in the kitchen, right by the washing machine, and it's a lot less offensive than disps in the bin. I use a few drops of lavender oil to make it a bit less hummy when the lid gets taken off, too.

All good here, MW came around this morning and is estimating the baby is about 7lbs, which rings true with my other babies weights.

Back to the school run after half term this morning, and I only had 4 people comment "you still here then?" and other stupid pointless comments

munz · 20/02/2006 12:25

that's a good weight rosie (don't get too stressed now with ppl sayin u still here! lol) - I didn't think about putting it in the kitchen - actually we have a little cupboard in the kitchen where the bin is kept with the mop/bucket and dog sack of food so I guess I could take the M&B out and put the nappy bin in there. would save luggin the bin down stairs to the washer as well. good tip. thanks hon.

Hello ladies! found you!!

Really thought bubs was coming over the weekend. Had bad diarrhoea and felt really achy and had period pains. Was getting pains and tightenings every 7-10 minutes too!!

My stats are aged 25, this one will be number 4 not 2! live in leicester. having a girl (but husband doesnt want to know so im having to keep it secret!)

Good luck for today toothy

Friz wheres that birth announcement woman??

totallyinlove · 20/02/2006 12:45

got MW appointment later too. They all think baby will be 9lb+ though. OUCH!

romilly · 20/02/2006 13:15

well done munz you are the stats queen and thankyou for the special mention for DHW, and the other honorary members who are not forgotten.

TIL - when is your due date then?

rosiep - a girl in my NCT class had her baby yesterday and she was the same due date as you and friz...so be prepared! im sure you are!

i am off to my next acupuncture session shortly so wont chat, but all the best to everyone on this thread.

love the title munz btw.

totallyinlove · 20/02/2006 13:30

sorry due date is the 6th.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 20/02/2006 14:34

Thanks for the update Munz thought we'd already got no2 as well tho, have just deleted last thread so can't go back and check, anyone remember who it is??

TIL, ha, not a chance here, sounds like you or RP might pop before me! in fact knowing my luck it'll be most of the thread before me see I still have my sense of humour about me at the mo, talk to me again in a week when I'm sulking and overdue.... TIL let us know what the midwife says today then, ouch

munz · 20/02/2006 14:44

I think that's toothy u're thinking of friz - she's having her section today - but until we've confirmed the whos wheres etc I wasn't gonna change her over - unless u all want me to.

TIL - will adjust ur info once wwe've got toothys new info! sooo exciting I think her section was at 9am wasn't it?

Astrophe · 20/02/2006 15:56

Hmmmm this is all too clever for me...links to new threads...wow. Thanks for the warm welcome girls.

I'm 25, just moved from Australia to Derby with hubby and 21 month old daughter. Due on the 5th (dates) or 10th (scan)...going with the 5th although DD was 8 days late so I'm kidding myself really. Don't know the sex of this baby, but at the moment I think its a boy but (secretly) hope its a girl!

So I was 38 weeks on Sunday. Have a MW visit tomorrow, and I hope she will say nice things like "your baby is not too big and will be born any minute now" but think she will say "your baby is over 9lbs and its head is still floating merrily around". Grrrrr.

Have never heard of eating pineapple to get baby out before. Any science behind that? Am drinking lots of Raspberry leaf tea...bit over it really. Finally got my last labour started by doing nipple massage...its kind of weird but when you get desperate enough...! Anyway, worked for me and saved me being induced!

RosiePosie · 20/02/2006 16:11

Hi Astrophe, welcome to the thread - and the country! Are you Australian?

MIL has just informed me that she has booked next week off work. . . no pressure for the baby to arrive early or on time then! Actually I'm a bit annoyed with her, because with my track record, this one is bound to be late.

Astrophe · 20/02/2006 16:41

Yes, I'm Australian.

Is your ML looking after your kids when you go into labour? Its quite stressful to organise childcare for labour isn't it?

Don't they tend to come closer to due dates when they are second and subsequent babies though? When are you due?

vickiyumyum · 20/02/2006 16:56

i'm 29, will be 30 one month after baby born!! this baby is supposedly a girl! after 2 boys would be nice, but am coming round to idea that it would be fine if it is a boy!
got m/w appt tomorrow and then consultant at hosp on wednesday and g/d tests again, both my previous 2 were 10lb+ so i know this one is going to be big as well, but they keep not beleiving the results for the g/d test and asking me to repeat them. oh well supoose i have nothing better to do with my mat leave
can't beleive some of us are going be delivering soon, thought i might have been in labour the other night, but turned out just to be really bad wind and diarroea(??SP)

RosiePosie · 20/02/2006 17:00

This is my third, and my first two were exactly 40+8, so kind of expecting this one to be too!

UniSarah · 20/02/2006 17:30

eek, another scary thing, a new thread. Got a bit jittery when i realised edd is now on current diary page (2 weeks to veiw).
Have just had mad half hour rushing round doing things, now knackered. dh due home soon so think I'll pop kettle on and make a cuppa.
for stats-
UniSarah age 33 , dh Paul, this is #1 boy. Lives Exeter. edd 2/3/06

BonyM · 20/02/2006 17:40

Hi everyone, just thought I'd pop over from the March 2005 ante-natal club to wish everyone good luck!

And to say, savour every minute as the first year will fly by. Us 2005 girls can't believe our babes are going to be one soon .

All the best everyone, will look out for those birth announcements.

oneofeach · 20/02/2006 18:28

Hi everyone, haven't kept in touch much but have been reading up on everyone as much as I can. Well I am now in week 38 and was convinced I would of had baby by now. Last time with DD I had obstetric chloestastis and was induced, was told to expect it this time. I visited a homeopath I use for various things and she gave me something to take and I haven't developed it (yet). So although that is great, I am now getting desperate (as are all of you). I have been having pains for a couple of weeks but then they wear off and nothing happens. I didn't get that with the other two. Friends keep telling me that means my uterus will be very efficient at getting the baby out quickly. Let's hope so. I just hope it takes after my husband like DS and DD and has a small head and narrow shoulders! I don't know what I am having but I am convinced it is a boy. I honestly have no preference. I will be surprised whatever! All the best to everyone and looking forward to reading the notices soon.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 20/02/2006 20:20

Munz, your probably right, silly me, doh!

Astrophe, your near me and jackstini then, jack's in Hucknall, Nottm and I'm Ripley, Derbyshire! might catch you at one of the meet up's once we've sprogged then! Are you going to Derby City? I went there last time (Home this time so long as all goes well) it seemed ok then (you may be pleased to know!)

Well feeling like crap tonight girls, felt so shattered this afternoon had nap, but got woken by phone 15mins in...pah......(thank goodness dd at nursery today) and now I'm just feeling sicky.....bleurgh.....have just eaten tea (pasta) in an attempt to make self feel better, but so far am not doing......

Frizbetheexpansionset · 20/02/2006 20:23

Munz, just heard from Cadmum on the beanie thread, she's being induced later on this week, as baby not growing......5 n half pounder they reckon, so a few weeks early, fingers x'd all will be ok for them both xx

mojomummy · 20/02/2006 20:30

Just thinking about you guys as my friend was over this afternoon & she is due in the next few weeks. I was originally on this thread but left & am now on the Aug 06 thread

Anyway, was reading how you're all doing & got to the end & saw my name mentioned. Thanks for remembering me & hope all your births go really well GOOD LUCK & I'm very excited for you all !!!

Also Vickiyumyum, get in touch, I think you are just round the corner from me now ?

laundrylover · 20/02/2006 20:58

Hey Mojomummy good to hear you're back on a thread!
Munz, Thanks for new thread chuck. I have my bucket in the bathroom but it doesn't smell much like RP says. I started out using nappy soak which is foul and now just rinse 'em and put the lid on. I will go back to using a net bag tho when the pooey nappies return! Also used power shower to rinse some baby poos as flush is very ineffective!
I get on fine with Bambino Mios and prefer them to the shaped nappies which I trialled for Lancs CC but reckon you just get used to what you've got.
Klara - your pains sound much like mine so I'll think of you during my sleepless nights! Doesn't help that Tilly has decided that she has to now have her bedroom door open and then shouts 'want to come in Mummy's bed' throughout the night!! I tell you that's not starting as there'll be three of us in there soon enough already!!!
Friz, I'm giving up hope on your baby EVER appearing - come on you must try harder!!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 21/02/2006 08:22

lol LL me too! still at least have woken up not feeling sick today, hurrah!!

Got the shock of my life last night, althogh have to say dh's being rather good at the mo tho, knocked 3 things off our list to do around the house on Sunday, and then last night, said once baby is born, he's going to do and stick to a cleaning rota and will do all the cooking on the weekends he's not working, as he wants to be a good role model for the kids especially bearing in mind he needs to learn to cook to do this! (although he can reheat a mean pizza!) not quite sure what's come over him??

vickiyumyum · 21/02/2006 08:28

mojomummy- was going to get in touch but lost your email you can email me on vickimyers at msn dot com, please! i have been meaning to get in touch with both you and hellybelly, i really do not know where the time has gone, so glad to hear your news, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you that all goes well.

well off to m/w appt today lets hope she manages tog et my blood today! as can't bear the thought of having to sit around at the path lab for hours in a queue for something that takes five minutes. i'm getting really impatient with everyone and anything at the moment

Marne · 21/02/2006 09:33

good morning,

Munz, baby decided to move just before i was going to go to be checked out and has'nt stoped since.

Is anybody else getting bad pins and needles in there hands? Had to take my wedding ring of yestaday as my hands had swelled up, my ancles hav'nt swelled up though. Starting to find it hard to do anything now as my back aches when i walk so just staying at home today and sorting out baby things.

Hope you are all well.

coppertop · 21/02/2006 09:48

A new thread!

Glad to hear things are going well, Mojomummy.

BonyM - Thanks for thinking of us.

Best of luck to Cadmum.

Despite needing growth scans because I'm so big, someone asked me this morning if I was pregnant!!! Is this a new record?

munz · 21/02/2006 10:07

ct- yes I think that is! lol. the only person to have asked me was the postie at 33 weeks! lol - althou the woman in tesco's said I didn't look PG at 34 weeks - might have something to do with the huge jacket I had on - DH said oh so she just thinks u look fat! lol.

rom - how did u get on with ur session yesterday?

astrophe - good luck for ur MW apt today, I have one to and would love for her to say the same- a nice 7lb baby u're 4cm dialites what do u mena u haven't had any pains! lol. but she'll prob say u still have another 3 weeks and are gonna be induced lol.

rosie - lol@ ur MIL, don't u just love the way plp put demands on us PG women! lol. DH came home last night and said Staff says I can't have the last week off in march as i'll be working so u can't go over cos then i'll loose my weeks leave and i'm not taking it early cos thats when mums coming down - needless to say the face said it all! some ppl eh! lol. how will the home birth be effected if u're late?

VYY - 10lb + ouch!!!!! ouch!!!! how long did the NB/0-3 clothes last for?

bony - yep thanks for thinking of us hon, it won't be long girls and they'll be a due in march 07 anti natal thread!

mojo - fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for u honney.

marne - glad baby moved for u, but please please any probs go to the hospital honney. better safe than sorry I think! and bubba's 36 weeks now so should be big enough.

well off tot eh m/w today for an apt to check pee and BP, am hoping she has good news for me, absolutly no movements here - well some lower pains last night which felt fairly constant for about half hour but then went, now nothing, up every 4 hours for a wee in the night, v bad back ache and now just want this baby out, but I get the feeling the little minx is gonna be late - i'm sure they're gonna have to induce me and gettin worried about it now as the date becomes closer - in fact last night had butterflys at the prospect - i'm fallin apart I tell u girls! lol.

anyhow suppose i'd best walk the dogs around the estate - just about recovered from the walk on sunday! lol.
