Okay, so I have finally started the new thread.
All right everyone?

I have been awake most of the night with contractions of some sort or another. A really tight bump for most of the night. Things seem to have a settled down a bit but I've had a lovely brown globular show this morning. Contractions are still niggling but my midwife said it is fairly easy to 'put the lid on them' at this stage with a bath and some painkillers to give myself a little more time. Basically, she's not ready, dh is not ready and I'm still not ready yet...
I will be by tonight though. Have decided I need to put my stuff in it's bag and sort out house today. So here goes....

Mrs Doolittle - sounds v exciting, but would you and your baby mind waiting your turn?!?!

Jasnem - lots of hugs for your other worries. Got a bit worried yesterday about how we'd cope if I have to have a CS, as was talking to someone who thought it was great that she was out and about 3 weeks after having one, but she still couldn't drive, and felt sore after lifting a roast chicken out of the oven the day before - I just couldn't cope with that level of inability with DH away.

4b1p - you need to join our yahoo group to see the pics. Do so here

Right, got a friend arriving any min (the one who was supposed to come last week but was poorly) so better go stick the kettle on and slice some banana loaf.

So girls, had another show just before took ds2 to gym class, (friend was driving) Was feeling v period painy by then. Went a bit light headed and odd feeling while watching gym and tightenings have changed to being uncomforatable low down rather than coming from top IYSWIM. They are fairly often, must start timing to check.
She is getting ds1 from school for me as she doesn't want me to drive.......... Watch this space

Not getting too excited as I have had false starts with both boys but time will tell.

Chloe55 · 01/02/2006 15:09

Oooh you've all been busy whilst I have been out! Can't believe 2 more of you might be having babies today/tomorrow - fingers crossed for you anyway.

My bday is 19th Feb Flame so not long to go now, I hope baby comes before so I get extra pressies

Still getting plenty of BH but pains have totally holted again. Me and friend have been comparing stretchmarks today - she still beats me at the moment

MrsDoolittle · 01/02/2006 15:09

Oh Goodluck Helen!
Know what you mean about trying not too get too excited, you're due a week after me. But I understand it's not to early for either of us.
I'm not experiencing any pain, as such but the bump definitely feels different today. Don't know why.

Huge hugs to Jas - hope everything is ok.

Thankyou for the new thread Mrs D - Sooo much easier.

I am very to admit that I am soooo jealous of you guys who sound like things are starting (especially MrsD due to our dates closeness). I wanna say that I'm excited for you, but I'm lumpy, aching and bitter right now I don't do the end of pregnancy well do I....? The rest of pregnancy its been tiredness I've not coped with well - I have been happy to be pregnant and enjoyed the bump etc when I had enough sleep, but right now I'm just evil.

Why can't I just be content with it staying inside? Its gonna be like when Cod told off Jessicasmummy for being too impatient

MrsDoolittle · 01/02/2006 15:20

Naaaa Flamey, I don't want to get too excited either. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. Otherwise I'm just like you

Still I've got a whopping great big night time pad on, just in case.................

4Blue1Pink - Pictures for you

Jasnem · 01/02/2006 19:26

Sorry -just noticed Tabs had already done that link (thanks).

Thanks also for the hugs, I feel a little more reassured after this appointment. I can go until the beginning of Feb without a section unless I start and have complications. Constant monitoring doesn't mean I'd have to stay in bed, so i just have to relax and wait now.

I had a scan, and baby is apparently over 7lbnow, so I'm expecting at least 8lb again.
I also found out the flavour!!!!!!!

Don't ask, cos I'm not telling

That was March, not Feb.

Chloe55 · 01/02/2006 19:39

Oooh you big secret keeper!

What is the username and password again for piccies because I can't remember - ta.

Flamesparrow · 01/02/2006 20:03

Ooooh big big meanie!!!

I was all confused by the whole beginning of Feb thing - thought my brain had gone to complete mush and I'd gotten my dates all wrong . I'm pleased that things are sounding positive for you.

My car looks soooooo weird - fitted the baby seat today . It looks so bizarre having a car all sorted for 2 children.

Back on the RLT - I'm really enjoying the stuff (people keep looking at me like I'm nuts when I say that, starting to wonder if I have a different mix to everyone else... says its got RL, apple and raspberry in it). I do like fruity teas anyway though, so it could just be that.

Feeling less bitter this evening sorry about that rant!

I am looking round my house, and my baby cleared up her toys without arguing , she let me put her to bed (normally "Daddy do it"), I haven't got a full washload left (I do have the car seat cover), and all that is wrong upstairs is a need to hoover and mop, and the clothes that in an ideal world will be put away one day.

We tried out the car pump, and it works with the pool, so that is sorted... hopefully doing a trial run on Saturday evening (mum is having B)... DH is convinced he wants to fill it with buckets, so a trial run will give us an idea how long it will take, and if he still prefers that theory .

He's out tonight, so its just me, last night's csi, and some popcorn (ooh and I might force down some grapes - just for a change).

Jasnem · 01/02/2006 20:03

mumsnet and netters, I think.

I'm going to try and add a new pic now.

Jasnem · 01/02/2006 20:16

new pic is there, but had to create a new album, so it's not with my other two.
Also did try and cut it down, but it grew again to show clutter on the floor I was hoping to hide!

My RLT is pure raspberry leaf. I don't mind it, but then have had only water and horlicks for 8 months. I don't usually like any fruit/herb teas at all.

Flamesparrow · 01/02/2006 20:35

Awww, you're all teeny with a bump attached (That was meant as a compliment, but not sure if it reads as one ).

Think I must have made the right move with the tea - it was the only one they had, but I'm guessing that the extra raspberry and apple bits must help. Still has the same cup recommendations on it, so am guessing it is as strong.

4blue1pink · 01/02/2006 21:00

I have put a picture of me on but dh is technology non whizz kid so its the only one suitable and i do not look good...its also the only room in our house as yet undecorated so please excuse it!

flutterbee · 01/02/2006 21:07

Good luck all Feb's Mummys-to-be, I hope that at least one of you pops tomorrow (2nd) as that's my birthday

Jasnem · 01/02/2006 22:15

4B1P - I found your file, but it says there are no pictures in it!

When I fell pregnant the first time, one friend described me as a piece of string with a knot in it, and I took that as a compliment!

4blue1pink · 01/02/2006 22:16

I was just changing it cos the firt one was so awful - this ones not much better!

4blue1pink · 01/02/2006 22:17

How many babies have you had Jas?

Jasnem · 01/02/2006 22:20

It's a lovely bump picture.

I'm glad I've done this, as I've got no pictures of me looking seriously pregnant with the girls. My bump does look huge to me though...much better when covered up!
