Kayano · 02/02/2012 11:43

Eeeeeeee hey hello.

I have spent all day like this --> Angry

I know I'm only 38 weeks but I'm so bloody frustrated. And ironing needs doing and dishes!

I sent DH a text expressing my fatty mcfatbag rage Angry and he is doing the bins and hoovering when he gets in.

I'm supposed to cook my parents a meal tomorrow but I can't be fecked to clean to my mothers standards. Grrrrr

Longest few weeks of my life. hopes waters break on way to kitchen Angry

PDog · 02/02/2012 11:47

Congratulations helium. No pain relief - wow! I am hoping for a similar experience this time but also a bit worried if it does go that quickly as it is a 2 hour drive for someone to come and look after my DD. Does she have a name yet?

Sounds like a positive experience enraha. I have a DD and 3 nieces so whilst it would be lovely to have a little boy, I know what you mean about thinking wtf do I do with a boy?

louby86 · 02/02/2012 12:42

Congratulations helium Grin

CoffeeOne · 02/02/2012 13:56

PamBeesly · 02/02/2012 14:48

Yes Pat this is the thread where we can announce the babies....

Thanks for starting all the threads Bill and giving them hilarious titles!

deardear · 02/02/2012 16:14

Oh god a baby by the end of Feb. shite! Helium we like TMI posts :)

Congrats by the way as well. Maybe you will start a run of girls.

Have finally got a changing mat! I don't normally use them - rather do it on my knees but girls insisted on it. Wasn't prepared to pay alot of dish for one so went to Matalan - £8 bargain and it's lovely. Also got hooded towel, hooded fleece blanket and they had special offers on baby bedding with te cotbed blankets for a tenner and flat sheets two for a fiver. Went into fuckercare and they hadn't even got a cot mobile or changing mat and it's a big one! Did get a top and tail bowl and some lovely bath milk for me. Going to have a soak when I have been and dine the horses.

Came home after calling for a burger king (tuttut) and went onto the M and Ps site and got the Elfie and Mop (?) cot mobile half price down to £15 in the sale so have ordered that. Tempted to buy some stickers for the nursery but might just go to somewhere like B and M and get some cheap canvases to hang as at least it won't rip the paper when you come to change it.

Who is due next? Know we have one arriving hopefully tomorrow.

Emz33 · 02/02/2012 16:52

Omg can't believe we'll all have babies THIS MONTH. How exciting. Two weeks today til due date.

phlossie · 02/02/2012 17:03

Aw, hellium - your story brought a little tear to my eye - very similar to my second, who was born 45 mins after I got to hospital - and I probably wouldn't have gone in then if my mum hadn't told me to call!

Enraha - glad your cs was calm in the end!

To you and Fundus I was also FREAKED out by having a boy - no idea why, I just thought he'd be a girl and I wanted a girl too, for some reason. But he was and is a wonder! My freaked-outness last less than 12 hours, and 6 years later I'm kind of thinking it would nice to have another boy... though I don't mind at all what flavour it is!

This month we will.... mostly be having babies!

Mine will be here in a maximum of 22 days (hopefully sooner!)

hermionejgranger · 02/02/2012 19:17

Thanks for the new thread, Bill - and for the long line of threads with ace titles! New season of True Blood starts Sunday at 10pm on FX, btw!

Can't believe we're having our babies this month! Although it seems that I've been pregnant for ages and ages and I'm now getting a bit annoyed with the giant bump with itchy red patches on it! And the hurty hips...and the rubbish hands...I am grateful though that I'm not so far suffering from SPD to the extend of some of you ladies. And I'm also very glad that I don't have more children to look after because I am largely shattered most of the time!

Had a GP appointment today which went OK - got some emollient for the itchy tum! Bert is still measuring above the "humungous" line on the growth chart and did a lovely wiggle for the Doctor when she was feeling the bump. The scarediest bit was when she wished me good luck and said that she hoped I didn't have to come back before Bert's arrival!

Right - off to the Chinese now - DH is away for the night so I'm having chicken and mushroom in satay sauce and a singapore chow mein. And some crispy seaweed I think. Yum.

37+6...ooooer! Baby in a maximum of 29 days if my maths serves me correctly...!

m1nn1em0u5e · 02/02/2012 19:25

Marking my place! Congratulations & welcome to the babies!.. :)

Induction booked for Monday 6th....nearly there!

41+1 *sobs....

QueenFee · 02/02/2012 19:27

38+1 wow thats only 13 days till d day and a max of 23 days pregnant! Tbh with my prev history I should be able to have induction at 40wks, the boys were induced at 39 for various reasons. Seriously hoping not to get there this time!
I would like a girl but I wouldnt be dissapointed either to have a boy. In some ways it makes more sense seeing as the younger 2 are boys and dd willl be on her way to 8 so quite a big age gap really. Oh well not long now till I find out!

Help me. Dh has a very welcome interview in surrey on monday. We are really pleased things have been really quiet on the job front and hes been out of work for a year :( however wgat the heck do I do if I go into labour monday?

QueenFee · 02/02/2012 20:20

I have started our 1st post natal thread for those of you who have popped as I know you won't have time!

Feb 2012 Postnatal here

Please forgive the title!

phlossie · 02/02/2012 20:25

don't go into labour! How far away is Surrey? Would his interviewers be flexible under the exceptional circumstances? Maybe do a telephone interview or another date?

If I was going to put money on it, I'd predict that I'm going to have a romantic stretch 'n' sweep on Feb 14th when I'll be 40+2, go into labour straight away and have the baby (boy, 9lbs 2oz) on Feb 15th (which is DS's 6th birthday). That's my guess!

M1nn1e I am sending you proper 'baby out' vibes... This weekend - I feel it in my bones! x

deardear · 02/02/2012 20:27

i am a bit worried about a having a boy after two girls as well. I mean, how do you clean under his balls and in the wrinkles? I am planning on having a towel to hand at all times when changing a nappy in case of fountains. the thing that scares me most is when he is older and needs potty/toilet training? How do you go about that!!

Have decided i cant sit in the kitchen at the table anymore as its just too painful with him being so low down. sure thats whats causing all the pain when i sit on our lovely farmhouse kitchen chairs. I had a big cushion underneath me tonight eating chip and fish and was comfier but have come to bed now so i can take the pressue off my bits.

hopefully no more than 21 days for me. they have said they wont let me go over and want to induce me as soon as i get to my due date as I am an old fogey. Not happy with that and plan on getting everything available to me to start me off before hand.

went to the local retail park today and got a changing mat (i usually do it on my knee but DH and kids will need a mat!), hooded towel, hooded fleece, cot sheets and blankets. Matalan have a fairly good deal on atm on baby bedding. have just washed and dried it all and folded all ready in the nursery and it smells lush

just a quick question - clary sage. Is it just an essential oil or what?

Enraha · 02/02/2012 20:59

The boy is working out just fine Smile, although he did manage to sprinkle me and 4 separate healthcare professionals before we were discharged from hosp and nearly got the midwife today. They all took it in good humour. Equipment seems reasonably easy to keep clean, so far. DH is slated for a much more active role in toilet training in approximately 2.5 years time.

The only thing I'll have to do is moderate and balance the collection of pretty, girly hobbies I've embraced (rather enthusiastically) since arrival of DD - but you can do dinosaur and space decoupage, right? It's not just about fairies and cupcakes. I'm very broad-minded, me.

McQueasy · 03/02/2012 10:38

Marking my place!
Big congrats to all the newborns. Very Envy I still have a while to go. Starting to panic as to how I will cope with three. One has regressed to 2hrly night wakings and the other is just totally disobedient!! Argh!!!

McQueasy · 03/02/2012 10:38

notcitrus · 03/02/2012 11:04

Have finally sorted all the baby stuff - hoping friend will take all the 1-2 year stuff away, plus 6 18-36mo grobags. I have no idea where they all came from!

Congratuations to all those who have babies - I like hellium's story and am hoping for similar (though as #1 was 39 hours I'm told 10 hours is more likely)

Boys are great - amazingly ds has only done a wee shower twice in his life (dn, on the other hand...) And the potty training seems to be just like for girls, get them to sit down and then once they master that they can copy Daddy/bigger boys. There was an annoying phase where ds would only use a potty, not a toilet, and not wee in the hedge or anything, but carrying a basic potty was still loads easier than nappies!

I'll be learning how to clean girl wrinkles! I've been warned girls can prjectile pee just as well...

diedandgonetodevon · 03/02/2012 14:16

I've been missing in action for a while. Big congratulations on all the lovely newborns Smile

Had my pre-op appointment at the hospital this morning. They have brought my section date forward from Thursday to Tuesday so I now only have three days left! Eep!

babycarmen · 03/02/2012 17:33

Marking my place! Congratulations on all the new babies, they will be flying out soon Grin Im due Monday and to say im fed up is understatement of the century! My pee breaks during the night now include taking paracetamol for my back ache. Keep getting bad tummy cramps too like im about to get a bug arrrrrgh. GET OUT BABY :)

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 03/02/2012 20:39

I'm in that hinterland of not wanting the baby to come for a while as I feel like I have do much to do still, and wanting the discomfort/nausea/heartburn to be all over!

EsmeWeatherwax · 03/02/2012 23:38

Deardear I was really worried about changing boy nappies too after two girls, but it's not so bad, so far at least! Just a bit more in the way of manouevering around bits and watching for the sprinkles! Although there was one fantastic incident when I was still in hospital when he pooed a river the second I got his nappy off, and then fountained pee everywhere TWICE before I could get a clean one on...I was just like...AAARRGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! My baby is exploding!

Diedandgonetoheaven not long now then! Will be seeing you on the postnatal thread soon.
