Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

Greenlady, Wednesday isn't so far away! Exciting!! :)

Happy new year everyone!

pink13 · 31/12/2011 21:11

Hi
Just updating as I've just got home from hospital with little baby Dennis, who was 7lb 14, despite being 2 weeks early! I was induced, but they put an epidural in straight away so didn't feel a thing. 12 hours later, I had only dilated 1.5cm and they couldn't figure out why. Dennis' heart started to drop a little so they went for an emergeny C Section, but it was a very calm and quick experience, although did mean a longer hospital stay. I can't speak highly enough of RBH if anyone is going there.

FrillyMilly · 31/12/2011 23:40

Congratulations Pink and Wombat!!! Looks like the rest of us are going to get 2012 babies.

I'm so ready not to be pregnant anymore. I'm being a total NYE Scrooge. I'm in bed watching crap tv and hoping that the party in the house behind us clears up shortly after 12. Or at least moves inside!! I need sleep and DD doesn't understand if we havent had enough sleep.

shonnomanom · 01/01/2012 00:47

Happy new year ladies! Wine

Now that we have officially met my due date its time to get out my womb baby!! Consider this your eviction notice. Mummy wants some cuddles and to be able to be comfortable again. X

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 01/01/2012 07:03

Ugh - do HBs make you feel like someone is pressing very hard against the top of your bump because I just woke up with that feeling and it was mighty uncomfortable. It helped to turn on my front and go on hands and knees except that made my back and wrists ache... I'm basically falling apart :D

Congratulations on the birth of Dennis pink. Could you get him to have words with my wee man please? Mummy doesn't want to wait till due date...

Who else thinks a long country walk would be a great way to celebrate New Year's Day?

Happy 2012 ladies - When and where do we start the new baby thread instead? ;)

Morning all,

Another poor nights sleep here. Tried to see new year in but went to bed at 11.20 because i'd been having really strong BH's all evening and was tired fgrom them. I was still awake at midnight when all the fireworks kicked off-it seems our village goes a bit mental. We have not been home for new year since we lived here so that was a surprise. I didn't want to be bah humbug about it but it woke dd as well, then DH's parents called the landline. I wasn't very happy with them about that either.

I was pissed off with the neighbours son deciding to first get fireworks out of the car at 1am which seemed to involve having some sort of domestic with his loud drunk gf with her shouting "What the fuck is wrong with you" and him singing at the top of his voice and going on about how nerve wracking it was to be doing a fireworks when so drunk! Then setting them off about half an hour later. In the end (about 2am) I went in the back room to sleep and that was much quieter. DH let me lie in til just now but I feel rough as today and my pelvis is really weak. I don't feel like it's going to support my weight when i stand.

My sisters due date was yesterday. No news there-she says not even a twinge despite having a sweep.

Have a good day ladies.

xxx

ghosteditor · 01/01/2012 09:39

Those are the ones, cakes!

Worm I was very sad to miss my Christmas run and am desperate to get going ok - my pre-natal exercise DVD just doesn't hack it! I guess we'll have to visualise...

DH has to be at work for 24 hours, booo! I don't have much planned but I should probably aim to get out of the house today .

ghosteditor · 01/01/2012 09:41

Ooh Xpost fish! What a rough night, it really doesn't help, does it?

Mulledbee · 01/01/2012 10:31

Ouch Fish, that sounds rubbish! I got to sleep at 1.30 and woke at 7. I woke up with DH rubbing my back as he thought I was having breathing difficulties but I was actually full on sobbing in my sleep. Weird! I was having sad/stressy dreams. I was tempted to get up but I slept on till 10. Lovely!

I'm hoping to go on a walk along a canal or river somewhere today, it'll have to be short though and will probably involve a pub. :) I think post baby I'd like to take up jogging. I was thinking when DH gets home I could do 20 mins round the block while he minds the baby. I'm not a runner but I really feel the urge now. Probably because I can't. I guess I do run to the train station most mornings as I'm late though.

I still haven't felt any BH.

Does anyone else's baby kick/punch downward really hard, basically onto the bottom/fanjo area? Ouch those are painful! I think they're trying to burst through the exit and kick the door down. I should stop watching law and order, they're getting ideas...

Mulledbee · 01/01/2012 10:44
