Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

Thank you parsley and fish! I'm v glad to hear I'm not alone and did wonder if it meant that I was putting the muscles under too much strain. I tried to be v careful after that but I should basically add roll downs to the list of things I can no longer do. I'm v sore through the SI joints and over my coccyx now so am struggling with lots of stuff. I think next week's class at almost 37 weeks will have to be the end of my classes for now.

I've seen a friend's almost permanently separated diastasis recti in her third pregnancy and it wasn't pretty! She could fit two fingers in the gap between the two sides of the muscle, eek!

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 14/12/2011 11:30

ghost you can still do the roll down just not very far. I can go about 2 inches before my bump domes.

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 14/12/2011 12:05

Those of you team blue you may want to see this gorgeous thread.

made me cry...but then again I have been doing that spontaneously most of the day anyway so whats new.

Oeisha · 14/12/2011 12:19

ghost I get a pointy bump when I brace my tummy muscles too (getting out of bed etc). I figured that was OK, it was if there was a gap in the middle that there was an issue...

If opiates in pregnancy make for an addict...Abi's buggered. The amount of pethidine + codeine I had in wk31 was shocking.

OK, so may have pushed too hard. Walking back from the bus I got 2 BHs that made me eek, pop my shopping on the floor and do some obviously very smexeh hip wiggles. Shhhh....don't tell DH or he'll make me stay in bed all day, every day...

Oeisha · 14/12/2011 12:20

DOH! Forgot the original reason why I was typing katy's home, or going home. Bless her! 1wk to go before her c-section!

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 14/12/2011 12:22

Oeisha, so we're all a bit freaky then!

You should rest up y'know [adopts best stern face] Hmm Grin

Oeisha · 14/12/2011 12:30

OK MummyGhost! I would do this pm, but have some dude coming to stare at our boiler at about 3.30and tell us there nothing wrong and charge us for the privilage. It's not doing hot water unles the heating's on...it used to...but I have decided to save the chilli making for tomorrow.
Just have to find the courage to eat some lunch.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 14/12/2011 12:40

Oooh - I've had the opposite of that before Oeisha in my old house. The heating came on when you ran the hot water. It was a valve... [nods knowingly]

trubble · 14/12/2011 12:50

Re injections - am going to go for the Vit K one. The placenta - I'm just going to go for natural and then I can change my mind and hurry it along if needed. My thoughts are better to get all the xtra goodness (?) before cord cut if possible than go straight for the injection and not have the chance. Who knows what I'll be thinking when it actually comes to it though!!!

GiraffeAHolic · 14/12/2011 13:09

Yep that'll be your three way valve Oeisha Grin

I've just realised I've haven't put anything in my bag to wear to come home in, that would be quite handy wouldn't it Blush

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 14/12/2011 13:19

Ooh you can have some of my food based courage; i've been eating solidly for 8 months now Grin

SantaSHO · 14/12/2011 13:42

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                Oh hello shiney new thread, how many babies will bring?????
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A mother at our Mother&toddler group told me this morning that I have 'that pre-birth glow'. Iv never heard that term before so obviously my reply was 'Is that a polite way of saying I look shattered?!' To which she laughed and said 'no its just a look iv noticed women get in the days leading up to the birth'. Hmm Hmm

Afraid im going to have to visit my physio again. Im in fricken agony these last few days. Sad

Just waiting on my Brownie Assistant coing over so I can hand over the unit for my Mat Leave.
Hope everyone is having a good day x

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 14/12/2011 13:47

Sho, my yoga teacher says a similar thing - she says just before giving birth women look like angelina jolie, all pouty and full-lipped. what she means is kind of puffy Grin

I know there have been studies that show that women become more symmetrical around the time of ovulation as it makes us more attractive to the male brain, so maybe similar hormones are at work just before birth...

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 14/12/2011 14:41

ghost more symetrical???????? HOW?

Wow I love biological stuff. Did anyone see that series recently that was bout the human body (i think Inside the human body it was called) that showed conception-they did a study on lap dancers-they earn on average £70 more per night during ovulation. No one really knows why-pheremones they think.

MY dh says I'm glowing. I look in the mirror and see puffy, black bags under eyes, spotty skin, heavy hair, fatty and droopy tits. Bless him i'd love to know what he sees.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 14/12/2011 15:08

I definitely haven't had any compliments recently - my skin has been awful throughout and lack of sleep isn't helping. DH appreciates the visit from the boob fairy though Grin

The symmetry thing is down to swelling etc affecting the face - apparently we become more in balance during ovulation as symmetrical faces are more appealing.

Oeisha · 14/12/2011 15:32

Well, I've had a couple of people telling me how good, or at least 'better' I look...I was thinking maybe they were just being polite just not noticing the power of clinique... Xmas Grin Maybe I am glowing . Don't feel very glowing right now. Feel friggin fed up and tired and indigestion's rife today, and Abi's gone mental. Want to sleep, but get mi 3-way checked! [hconfused]

Oeisha · 14/12/2011 15:33

*but MUST get mi...blah blah...

Mulledbee · 14/12/2011 15:41

Wow, a new thread already! I have a pointy bump when getting out of bed or lying and tensing my muscles. I didn't realise it was putting my muscles under strain.

I am also going for a natural third stage of pregnancy - I've got that in my birth plan along with with 'no tugging'. We were warned that if midwives weren't so used to a natural third stage they may not realise they can't tug the cord... DH will be on cord watch (assuming he's still awake by then).

I haven't fully decided whether to have Vit K injection or drops - still thinking about it.

I went to my last NCT class today on breast feeding. It was quite interesting and all the people were lovely - I hope we'll stay in touch. I had plans to go to Oxford afterwards to shop but I was too tired so I came home to tidy, but I'm too tired for that. The place is a mess. :(

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 14/12/2011 15:47

Oeisha - my mum and dad are having that exact problem with their boiler atm. Their plumber is useless, but my dad has become friendly with him now, in the inappropriate way he does with tradesmen occasionally, which means the really crap ones can take advantage of him and he's too chicken to sort it out because they're friendly Xmas Hmm

Giraffe - can;t pack going home clothes - I'm wearing all my clothes! I've packed knickers and socks, but am going to either wear the same outfit home I go in, in or ask my mum/DH to bring in some specific items.

Ghost - I thought you looked lovely all three of the last times I saw you - it was only when we initially met that your skin looked bad, you've looked really beautiful since then! :) (God that was a backhanded compliment).

I have more new stretchmarks. Like... since yesterday, I swear. They're round my belly button now :( Why oh why is this bothering me so much?

Oh, I went to baby first aid course last night - was v useful and informative. Will give you all update in a bit if you're interested? Pass on some tips?

Did someone with the initials KS just try to add me on FB?

OP posts:
miamamaClaus09 · 14/12/2011 16:13

ok, bit of a TMI question... but how much discharge is normal at this stage?
I've had loads lately, been on anti biotics for 2 weeks for an infection, but now it seems there's more than ever! gets heavy if I move suddenly, or too fast...
Pls tell me it's not a sign that I should be expecting a show anytime soon!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 14/12/2011 16:15

Well I've had quite a lot more than usual for me, but I wouldn't call it excessive... maybe a reaction to the anti-biotics? I don't know - any itchiness or soreness?

OP posts:
Oeisha · 14/12/2011 16:16

Well, our boiler man is the guy next door, but they've always fixed the issue, and today, well, he fixed it (replaced something that looked a little bit like a cock-ring Xmas Hmm) in less time than it took me to make coffee...!

I just knew it'd be something really bloody simple.

cakes I'm interested! Keep meaning to see if they have a baby first aid course in any of the Children's Centres in the area.

mummyzoe2012 · 14/12/2011 16:23

gosh, you guys have been busy today page two already!!!

well i decided late lastnight to have a clean, and then cleaned exactly the same things again today. dp has hid the hoover from me though aas physio said im not alowed to use it, all thats left to do is a few pots and the hoovering and mopping so think ill do it tomorrow when i find where he has hid the hoover from me!

miamamaClaus09 · 14/12/2011 16:25

no, no other symptoms.... will maybe just put it down to an increased rush, or due to coming off the anti biotics...
feels like a lot when it happens though, then it's not really that much when I go to the loo... but a lot more than usual!
just another lovely symptom it seems...
