Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

Kittie CONGRATS! Grin Thanks Bear

fish sorry it was a 'wasted' trip, but on the plus side, catching thrush is good. It means they can treat it. I had oral thrush as a baby and it was miserable for me and Mum'm nips!

Hardly eaten anything today and still feel bloody grim about food. Xmas Confused

Nanny01 · 30/12/2011 17:39

Congrats Kitty
, Now I feel on the count down I hope I don't get to next Wednesday as I will have to start the school run. The dc's are at 3 different schools with ds 2 starting on Wednesday. I am now writing a schedule out so if things happen when they re at school my parents will know when and where to take each child. I have also stocked the freezer up with some of the dc's favorite ready meals so no one will have to cook for them. WHo else will have the school run?

Is any one else feel edgy cause they don't know when it will start. Have things down from the loft now with the crib coming tomorrow now just have to wash car seat cover and find the newborn insert for it.

On another note the next catalogue arrived and there are some lovely boy things in there for our new ds.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 30/12/2011 17:41

MASSIVE CONGRATS KITTY!!! Worth shouting about our first baby from an active poster - YEYS!!!

Sorry to hear that fish. I feel like we'll all be so suspicious of labour symptoms after our few false starts that we'll all end up at home (or in a lay-by!)

I officially don't have another appt for two weeks as my MW is away next week, which makes me a bit nervous. But my last BP reading was 125/60 which is the lowest reading I've had so far, so it's only really ppm I need to keep an eye on, unless I have other symptoms.

Fx I don't get quite as far as my 40 week appt though - an early Jan baby would be nice so I'm not pg or in labour on my birthday on the 23rd Grin.

Cakes is coming over in a few mins for dinner! I foresee lots of baby chat Smile

Mulledbee · 30/12/2011 17:43

Congratulations Kitty!!! :) Thanks Lovely news!

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 30/12/2011 18:24

Ooooh congrats Kitty-super duper news! Is that officially our first baby?

Would love it to see some pics when you get time Kitty. xxx

Wormshuffler · 30/12/2011 18:36

Horray! Congratulations kitty x

Bellakins · 30/12/2011 18:59

Congrats Kitty!!! What lovely news.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather Worm

So exciting to read about the ladies who are getting contractions and inductions and such. Pretty soon we'll have our babies! My baby is not engaged, no BH, just had the odd mild crampy feeling so not convinced baby will be here anytime soon - 38 + 4!

GiraffeAHolic · 30/12/2011 19:15

Ooh how about January 2012 - it's not just the corks that are a-popping

greenlady78 · 30/12/2011 19:23

Congrats kitty!!!! So exciting!!!! And sorry fish ;(

I am afraid not all was well with my blood test and they asked me to go back to hospital, have just left and they repeated all blood test and I need to go in tomorrow at lunch time as they are worried with ore eclampsia and also my liver readings are off the wall! So they were talking about induction, it will all depends on the blood tests for tomorrow.

So will keep you ladies posted and will now deco finish packing my bag tonight!!!!! xxxx slightly scared and excited all at once ... Excited to see my little boy and scared as they looked pretty worried... But it can't be that bad otherwise they wouldn't send me home, right?

Xxxx

supadupaturkeystupor · 30/12/2011 19:40

if they were worried about you or your baby green you would not have been sent home. I wasn't with DS. They get on with induction immediately.

So get yourself a good nights sleep honey if you can xxx

Oeisha · 30/12/2011 19:40

green I'm sure they wouldn't, but if you begin to feel unwell/wrong in any other way, just go straight back to A&E if needs be.
Good luck xxx

LO might be a mutant - Wolverine style - whatever she just did to my innerds it bloody hurt (felt like she viscously scratched my bladder). She was going a bit crazy, so I thought I'd have a wee and see if that improved her mood...mid wee sssssssssssccccccccccrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaatttttttttcccccchhhhhhhhhh... about 3 times in a row... Xmas Shock

BigHotMama · 30/12/2011 19:58

Congratulations kitty wonderful news!

Great thread title idea giraffe

Good luck green surely you would still be in if it was a concern fx for you.

Oiesha that sounds painful maybe baby's nails have grown lol.

Still feel like a long way to go yet for me not having any signs but am 4 weeks off edd yet so will prob be one of the last to pop.

Good luck vibes to all x

SlightlyScrambled · 30/12/2011 20:18

Congrats Kitty. So delighted for you and your little girl. Hope you recover well.

Giraffe love your title. Thumbs up from me.

I'm feeling so big and am a little amazed that my belly skin can hold this baby in there. I had to laugh at others describing their bumps as Aliens. I keep feeling like that too. 38 weeks tomorrow and fx that it'll stay in until 2012.

Has anyone started doing pools with family and friends for birth dates and gender predictions (if team yellow)? We're having a bit of fun now with guesses and just realised that someone guessed for Friday 13th (at 13:13). My superstitious side is emerging... I'm due on 14th.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 30/12/2011 20:36

Fx for you greenlady they would definitely have kept you in if they were very worried. They did that to one of the ladies who was in the assessment unit with me a few weeks ago. Good luck for tomorrow. Xx

shonnomanom · 30/12/2011 20:48

January 2012 - it's not just the corks that are a-popping. Love it giraffe!

I definately agree with the ladies greenlady, if they were at all overly concerned they wouldnt have let you home. Get your bag packed and try get a decent nights sleep. Tommorrow will play havoc with your emotions. Good luck x

greenlady78 · 30/12/2011 22:27

Thank you lovely ladies for all the support!!! I am trying to get everything sorted out before tomorrow! Just realised how much I have to do ;(

Hope you are all well otherwise! Lots of hugs!!! xxxx

MissRee · 30/12/2011 22:34

Good luck green, hope all goes well for you tomorrow Smile

Incidentally, tomorrow is my due date... bet nothing happens tho Sad

Congrats kitty :)

X

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 30/12/2011 23:08

Another vote for giraffe's title Grin.

Good luck tomorrow green! I hope all's well and that everything goes smoothly - at least you're being monitored now and they can make sensible decisions.

Just had a lovely evening with cakes and our DHs! We're both due on Jan 12th. I'm a fan of the number 13th so would happily volunteer for that date if it worked that way! Apparently there are 13 rooms at the delivery suite at my local hospital but they haven 't numbered them to avoid any worries Wink.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 30/12/2011 23:44

Am jealous. ghost's DH is an excellent cook - that's the most I've eaten for a couple of weeks now! Yum :)

So nice that our boys got on well - means we can hopefully do lots of lovely baby things together as families - eek - not just couples any more!

Anyways, time for beedy byes I think

Congrats to Kitty - what name did you choose?
Good luck green - keep us updated
ditto to fish
xx

ps - ditto about 13 - it's a lucky number for us. wouldn't be at all surprised if baby arrived then.

tigana · 30/12/2011 23:52

hello everyone...not been on here for mooooonths [slacker emoticon].

39 weeks today. Huge, uncomfortable and fed up.

Congratulations Kitty!

makesxmascakes - I had MIL here on weds/thurs and consequently spent yesterday afternoon/evening in a fog of gloom!

Oeisha · 31/12/2011 02:19

0217 Biscuit

Thought it was much later than that so have made myself cheerios and banana...ooops.

Now even less impressed with DHs ruddy snoring and Abi chicken flipping about in my belly. She was nicely left, now she's crammed herself in my right again....though I did wake up in my right, so hopefully some "left time" will correct this.

At least my ever attentive Gizzard's staring at me lovingly...

addictediam · 31/12/2011 04:16

Sleepywambat has had her baby too! :o

And another vote for not just corks popping

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 31/12/2011 05:41

why oh why am I awake? Four and a half hours' sleep is not enough, no matter how many chocolate biscuits there are to consume upon awakening

Wormshuffler · 31/12/2011 05:48

Hello Ladies

Well it's the last day of december so time for some popping to start!

How lovely that cakes and ghost have had a meet up!

Hope things settle for you today greenlady I agree they would have kept you in, in fact delivered you yesterday if the results warranted it.

So does anyone have any plans for actually doing anything to celebrate the new year? My goal is to stay awake for it! Tonight is DH and I's "getting together" anniversary 17 years Shock life is travelling so quickly!
