Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

trix1 · 01/01/2006 17:14

Congratulations - Its always hard after a m/c but just take it easy and try to enjoy.

Due in Sept 06 already - Im on the due in Aug thread.

Maddison · 01/01/2006 17:24

OMG! A due in Sept 06 thread already!!

I'm not pg (I think!) but just wanted to wish you well, especially after having a mc.

Hope the next 8 months go well for you and every other Sept 06ers

Noriesmum · 03/01/2006 11:53

Hi benjaminsmum,

I am waiting to find out if i am pg. Wont find out until friday at the earliest..... I already have a DS who is 8mths, and if i do get a BPF then i am not sure how i will be feeling. We werent planning to fall pg until maybe the end of this year, but we had a slight problem with the protection we were using . If i am, then well i guess its not like i am used to sleeping, as DS hasnt mastered sleeping through.

DH doesnt think that I am, but given that I fell pg with DS on the first attempt, i am not too sure.

Conrats BTW

I do already post on here, but under a different name - kind of want to stay secret until i know for def.

mootoo · 03/01/2006 14:18

Can i join!! I did a test yesterday and am definately up the duff! My last period was 1st dec, so am guessing i am due around september. A little brother or sister for dd!
I don't think it has sunk in yet.

benjaminsmum · 03/01/2006 16:35

Congrats to you mootoo! It is very exciting when you first find out and then I think my nerves have taken over. I am now beginning to get some symptoms such as constant weeing, sore boobs and a bit of nausia so I am feeling more confident. Only three days until the scan which I am looking forward too. Although I keep dreaming that they find twins or triplets which is a seriuosly scary thought! How old is dd? My ds is two on Saturday. I will report back here how the scan went so fingers crossed everyone.

benjaminsmum · 04/01/2006 21:45

Hi to all. Glad to know others are also pregnant and already on site. Good luck to you, Julie, I don't know how you coped with three mc one was horendous enough. So I totally agree with your sentiment of a long and boring pregnancy with lots of sickness!! Are you going to have an early scan too?

I have to ask though what is BFP/BPF. I know I am probably thick and I assume it means that you have a positive pregancy test but I cannot work out the initials!

Coriander73 · 05/01/2006 10:42

Hello...can I join in..quietly?! Had BFP yesterday which according to the doctor today makes it 16th Sep due date! Already have one 16 month old DD (who is also a Sep baby)...feeling elated but cautious..

trix1 · 05/01/2006 11:34

Hi Julie - are you under the care of the hopsital , im on the August thread and have had three m/c. I am being prescribed Progesterone and aspirin, are you?

Arabica · 05/01/2006 11:51

Good luck everyone! I'm on the August thread (due 2 August) so here's hoping next summer isn't too hot and sticky!

julezboo · 05/01/2006 13:35

Hi trix,

i have my appt next wed to see my usual consultant, i took aspirin with last pg, which ended upin mc so not to happy about starting it this time round. I had sever pre eclampsia with ds 1, which resulted in him being born 9 weeks early i was very poorly in a coma! (very rare im told) so thats why he started me on it last time. Im checking bp everyday though just to be sure.

lol Julie x x

trix1 · 05/01/2006 13:41

Hi Julie

Sorry to hear about the m/c in Dec and on Asprin I was led to beleive that you would not miscarry on aspirin but you never know. How far where you gone when you had your miscarriages?

mootoo · 05/01/2006 14:33

Hello again! Sorry - i don't get on the computer much! I am due 8th September (i think) i hyaven't been to the docs yet, thought i would wait a while.
DD is 26mths, and angelic so am trying for the similar this time! Fags and cider before conception and then loads of chocolate during pregnancy!
Sorry to hear about all your problems julie.
We were going to keep the news to ourselves till 12 weeks, but my parents phoned up the other day to tell me they had booked their holiday - for the start of september! So i had to spill the beans. We will tell the outlaws, but everyone else can wait.
I have forgotten everything from my first pregnancy - what can't i eat? For some reason i think i have to give up my crunchy nut cornflakes - is this right?
Has any one got any pregnancy feelings yet? With dd i remember i weed a lot and had really sore boobs, but so far i have nothing.
Speak soon

Coriander73 · 05/01/2006 14:40

Hi Mootoo, couldn't help myself & went to the doctors this morning! Due 15th September...fingers crossed.

Am feeling very very tired, ravenous & started to get a metallic taste in my mouth like I did with DD. Told my MIL today, get on better with her than my own Mother..haven't told other family yet. Regarding foods etc, doctor had to remind me to stay away from unpasturised cheeses, pate, raw eggs, shellfish, alcohol (sob), tarasamalta (which I love)...& not much tuna. That's pretty much it...

mootoo · 05/01/2006 14:58

I miss alcohol too! And fags! But am determined to be a good girl for the sake of my baby - i sound very nobel!
I am really going to watch what i eat as well, last time i put on 2 stone, and i was a very big girl to start with! Thankfully i have been to weightwatchers and am now a "healthy weight"!
I am worried that i have no symptoms now - shall i do a test again?

Coriander73 · 05/01/2006 15:25

Why do you want to test again? A lot of people don't have symptons at all for quite a few weeks...& they do say no two pregnancies are the same...! Yes....STAY OF THE FAGS...you know it makes sense!

mummyhill · 05/01/2006 16:05

Another sept 2005 mummy popping in to wish you all the best of luck and happy healthy pregnancies. benjaminsmum I was in exactly the same situation as you this time last year. I worried all the way through my pregnancy but now have a beautiful ds to show for all the worry!!! Keep posting I found the support on here kept me going.
