Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

Not that I can compare how I feel with Norms and homemama, but after 2 weeks of a cold I now have an ear infection and feel rubbish. Din't get up till 11am - poor DS was left for an extra long nap, so prob won't sleep tonnight now!

TopBanana · 13/02/2006 14:19

Thats great KK

HellKat · 13/02/2006 16:22

Congrats KK
My scan on Friday was a dating scan (was'nt meant to be but she changed it for me).
So pleased for you!

Good luck Norms!!! Hope the sickness eases soon hun too.

Top- You poor thing? Are you sure it was'nt the sickness part of this horrid bug that's doing the rounds? Hope you're feeling better.

hello, congrats to everyone due in sept 06. i had a may baby in 2004 and thought that was a fab month for a newborn but reckon sept is a great month too - esp as i'm due on my birthday, sept 23rd!
sooo excited but feeling unsettled as i have no symptoms other than ravenous hunger. no sore boobs, heightened sense of smell or projectile vomiting like i was with dd. dh thinks we are having a boy this time as we did it late in my cycle whereas ds was conceived v early on in cycle. does anyone hold with that stuff? rx

sorry when i said ds was conceived early on, i meant dd - we have a girl, 20 months, called neepha.

HellKat · 13/02/2006 17:34

Norms- pmsl @accent. had me giggling that did. great news about your scan. Well done!
Welcome Rads!
I'm convinced it's a girl this time because I'm craving different things but who knows.

KK and Norms, great news about the scans. All these new litle people meerging. It's really wired , in no time at all we'll be saying, hasn't it flown.
I was on the 'Due in Feb' last year and we all get on really great npow and all our babies are having their first Birthdays around now.
It really just flies by.
Anyway, i'm doing o.k now, no sickness but cannot fit into my jeans, have to keep undoing them and it was a while ebfore i realised yesterday i was shopping with my zip down and everything!
My scan is on 3rd March. I have both the girls Birthdays next week which will be fun.

Angeliz · 13/02/2006 22:23

radster, welcome and Congratulations+

Angeliz · 13/02/2006 22:39

HellKat · 14/02/2006 08:21

Morning all.
How's everyone on this grey rainy day?
Angeliz- Sounds good to me!
This pg seems to be flying by so far.
Hope the gals with sickness are'nt feeling to cruddy today too.
x

mabel1973 · 14/02/2006 09:04

morning everyone!

congratulations rads!
Angeliz - yes I agree - we need due sept mk.2.
Doctors put me on antibiotics for my ear infection so hopefully that will clear it up.
Hope evryones ok and not too sicky today.

kreamkrackers · 14/02/2006 10:10

morning everyone.

sorry i forgot to say well done about the scan norms. the amnio is the only certain way to get the answers you need norms, my dd's condition wasn't spotted until she was 3 days old and we nearly lost her so not all are picked up on scans (although our 20 week scan was rushed and this time they said they will definetly do a much more detailed scan) as i don't want an amnio (dp and me don't carry the genetic disorder it sadly just happened).

Woodelf · 14/02/2006 10:20

HI all,

Sorry haven't dropped in for so long, the usual sickness business and feeling knackered! If I have any craving it is for marmite, love it on a bit of wholegrain bread as it gets rid of sickness feelings very quickly. Same weight as before only differently distributed! . Boobs and the beginnings of belly.... have to use elastic hair thingy to allow self to breathe in existing trousers and jeans. Have given in and bought next size up smart trousers for up and coming meetings but they seem huge!

Hugs to all, esp those with lots of sickness atm.

Highlander · 14/02/2006 11:55

f*ck me, I'm miserable. Just found out that DH is 'not allowed' to stay on the first night. He was sooooooooooo useful the last time, changing nappies when I was too uncomfortable to get out of bed.
