Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

thanks. dd will be 2 in may, where does the time go? i got really upset on her last birthday before she woke up thinking that her life is going by too quickly already, dp thought i was about to have a breakdown. i find it sad in a way but it is also a great feeling when they start to achieve more and do something new (although every other baby does it for some reason it feels so special when your little one does it!).

HellKat · 12/02/2006 17:32

Lol Cori!
If babba wants stodge, you feed it stodge! . I'm a firm believer in whatever you fancy, your body needs. Ever noticed how when you're due for a heavy af you crave salty or sweet stuff? It replaces the nutrients lost. With ds1 I craved crap all the time lol. Luckily with ds2 I craved equal amounts of junk & healthy stuff.

puppy · 12/02/2006 17:32

lol coriander (hope sickness passes soon) , i still remember how good the feeling was when you got what you craved for, wonder what i'll crave for this time.
I also used to eat crackers with butter, cheese spread and bovril on, they were sooo gorgeous still have the odd one now hehe

kreamkrackers · 12/02/2006 17:36

i craved sweet things with dd but this time i'm starting to go off meat. the sweet cravings with dd didn't start until the second trimester but that's probably the reason i put on about 5 stone, sadly never lost the weight.

HellKat · 12/02/2006 17:39

Ohhh Puppy that sounds yum!
Hmmm wish i had Bovril lol.

Coriander73 · 12/02/2006 17:50

Yesterday it was salt beef & pickled cucumber..yum!! The strange thing is that there isn't a consistent pattern emerging...ever day (except the marmite) I fancy something different...

BTW..need tips on potty training..should I go to a different thread or can any of you advise?!!

trace2 · 12/02/2006 17:52

xxxx hijackxxx

corrie dont post then disapear

HellKat · 12/02/2006 18:03

Ohh I love salt beef with american mustard in a sarnie. God I'm hungry again now lol.
Cod's got a potty training thread going atm. Only advice I can give is when your little one's ready they'll let you know (once they're aware of "going", when they've long periods of dry etc). My ds2 is a very young 22 mths so imagine it'll be a while yet before we start him. i was hoping for the summer (nice & warm where they can run around bottomless around the house).

Coriander73 · 12/02/2006 18:05

Err..what's cod?!

HellKat · 12/02/2006 18:11

On the Nappies, potty training threads. This woman "Cod" was starting up one. Just seen there's another one "When to start potty training".

trace2 · 12/02/2006 18:12

corrie i trained ds day and night together, it saved time

calvemjoe · 12/02/2006 20:33

Cori, PSML at sending the therapist over to macdonalds for ice. I too craved ice and used to go through the drive thru and go, 'I need ice' and they'd look at me like i'd gone mad and i'd just go 'I need ice, now. a large cup of it' and I felt like a crazy woman. Feel much better now I know I'm not the only one, and I hope it's something I crave again, It's not too bad for you and its free!
HK, I agree with your very young 22 month old. My ds can just be in trousers and not even notice he is soaking so I'm thinking it'll be the summer before he is ready to give it a go.

calvemjoe · 12/02/2006 20:38

Forgot to ask - is anyone else finding it hard to get a good nights sleep? I'm waking up about every 1/2 an hour and i'm exhausted!

benjaminsmum · 12/02/2006 20:58

Wow so much chat since I was last on. I can add my name to the ice craving and my ds has a Jan birthday. It has already kicked in this time along with the milk craving. Sorted maternity clothes yesterday as jeans getting too tight. Excited to be having a bump again as well as the change of wardrobe!

Will look up baby photos in mo and then I will figure out how to add my ds because naturally he will be the cuteist!! LOL!!

Felt and been really sick today but without too much detail also felt a bit dodgy in the bowel dept too so wonder if it is bug rather than pregnancy.

HellKat · 13/02/2006 07:56

Lol Ben. Hope it's not the bug for your sake.
How's everyone today?
My ds2 was potty trained daytime before he was 2 but at night it was by the time he was 3. Bless little ds2, he's aware of when he's piddling (when he's bottomless) but poos......... last time he threw it across the floor . I'm hoping he'll be ready by the summer if not then it can wait.
Anyone else wondering how they'll cope with a toddler & a newborn? Had a slight panic the other day lol but figured We'll be out every day, here & there to keep my awake & the kids amused (and to wear them out lol). Think I'll be joining every playgroup/nursery going!

mabel1973 · 13/02/2006 08:35

hellkat yes I am panicking a bit too. Thought about trying to get DS potty trained over the summer but he will only be 21 months when no.2 is born so maybe that's a little ambitious.
We go to 2 playgroups at the mo anyway, so hopefully will continue to go, to wear out DS and for me to keep my sanity

HellKat · 13/02/2006 08:43

Tahnk goodness someone feels the same lol. That's my plan, wear them out! My ds will be 30 mths when little one's born so not too bad.

compo · 13/02/2006 11:05

morning everyone. Still feeling bloomin' awful here and not 'blooming' at all!! My ds is another young 22 month old so reckon potty training will wait a while. he didn't walk until just recently and didn't crawl until just ebfore his first birthday so I think he'll be late doing everything!!

TopBanana · 13/02/2006 11:10

Hi, I've been really bad all weekend. Had a chinese and I think they poisoned me . Couldn't keep anything down but feeling loads better today and back at work. GREAT.
I can't do my work trousers up now.
Am in the process of trying to potty train dd at the mo, shes 2.5. Not been doing to well so the nursery are going to have a go this week too

good luck with your scan Normsnockers!!

kreamkrackers · 13/02/2006 11:58

had my scan and they found the heartbeat i'm so happy. they said the little one is just over 8 weeks so i think that puts me back to my original date. i'm not sure whether that'll be it or whether i'll have to have a proper dating scan as well. i had 4 people in the room with me and when they couldn't find my left ovary they moved the blanket covering my bits up and had a good look around, i was so embarassed but also made up that everything went well.
