Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

Hi, not feeling anything really other than a slight metallic taste in my mouth. I'm sure it may all get going around the 6th week mark (like with dd)....or not!!!

Any news Julezboo?

julezboo glad to hear it went ok today sounds like they are keeping a close eye on you.

I still have no symptons except bigger / harder boobs.
I am racking my brains to try and remember when I started to feel sick etc. Isn't it funny how you forget all these things.

Coriander73 · 11/01/2006 16:30

Excellent Julezboo! We must be around the same time...I'm 5 weeks tomorrow...

Mabel, same same. I think I started being sick around the 6 week mark if I recall...but can't really remember!!!!

compo · 11/01/2006 19:04

sabrinaandjayden · 11/01/2006 19:37

hello everyone

am due the 12 Sep, just found out and made the mistake of telling my mother who is very upset. because she thinks i am ruining my life at uni at the moment just got engaged, in her words i have let my self down. this sound very silly when i already have a three year old and am 29 years old. she has really upset me i am hoping that she will get over it.

p.s i am really happy about it.

Coriander73 · 11/01/2006 20:09

Welcome...

I'm sure she wants the best for you..you know what Mothers are like! Anyhow, she'll calm down & once she sees you progress & has the bubba in her arms..she'll change her tune I'm sure!

What are you studying? Seems an age ago I was at Uni...graduated in 1997!

mabel1973 · 12/01/2006 10:44

Hi Sabrina
congratulations
sorry to hear your mum is not happy for you, but I am sure she will be given time. You already have a child, so it's not like you don't know what your in for!
How long do you have left at uni?

coriander - I graduated in 1994 - that makes me really old

Coriander73 · 12/01/2006 11:03

Hey Mabel,

Any symptoms yet?! Am sitting here thinking my boobs, if anything, feel softer today...think I'm beginning to drive myself mad....arrghhhhh

jersey · 12/01/2006 11:27

CONGRATULATIONS everyone from the due in July 2006 thread! {grin] .

Can't believe there's a sept thread already, time is flying.

Lots and lots of luck to you all.

Hi coriander - no nothing - just the boobs.
I am v v tired, but I think that is something to do with watching celebrity BB followed by Lost double bill last night. it all merged together in my head and was so wierd that I couldn't sleep!

compo · 12/01/2006 13:37

Hi Mabel - same due date as me until the scan . Still no symptoms here. Went to the gp today to get onto their system and now have to wait for community midwife to contact me and hopefully get a date for the scan. Can't wait for the next 6 weeks to hurry up and go!

benjaminsmum · 12/01/2006 14:07

Afternoon, after discussion on graduation dates I was wondering how old everyone is? I am thirty as of a week ago. I feel very old but it was not as bad as I thought as I was pregnant and I always wanted two children by the time I was thirty. Although couldn't tell anyone else that!

Congrats sabrinaandjayden.

Glad scan went well Jules, did it have a heartbeat yet?

Also think next six weeks will take forever until the next scan. Too many people I know get there and have bad news.

We have a DS who is 14months and I'm worried how I'll cope if I'm as sick as last time.
EDD 21st Sept.

mabel1973 · 12/01/2006 15:30

Hi Normsnockers! I was going to come and get you but wanted to bite the bullet.
They'll go on your LMP regardless of whether you know when you conceived or not.

I had to put up with an arrogant and rude Dr this morning. She told me it was too early to confirm (though she did) and I should wait as so many end this early.
Then said she wanted to take my BP as she could see that the thought of this pg was making me very stressed. I came in stressed as I'd had to leave the buggy and carry DS and everything else to her room as the corridor is too narrow for the buggy to fit down.
I then asked where we could book a nuchal scan (we've just moved to area) she said I don't need it as I'm not approaching 40! (exact words) I'm actually getting there but that's not the point!
She then said I could book it with the MW but that at this surgery you don't see the MW until 12wks!!! Bit late really!

OK, sorry to rant, especially as a newbie!
I just felt she spoke down to me and made assumptions about me based on nothing.

You can ask me to leave now!
