Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

mootoo · 05/01/2006 20:06

I have a symptom! Yipee! I am now completely irrational, and have cried over nothing at all!

tisherself · 05/01/2006 20:31

Hi Mootoo
I remember not being allowed C Nut cornflake with DD pregenancy. DD 15m and i'm due again in sept, have to give up beloved C Nut Cornflakes and peanut butter again. Haven't been to the docs yet maybe tomorrow.
Good luck everyone

mabel1973 · 06/01/2006 09:10

hello!

Just wondered if I could join the thread! Tested +ve this morning think I'm approx 5 weeks pg with no.2 - yipeee! Apart from DH you are the 1st people I've told!
I have DS who turned 1 on 1st december. I don't think he understands the concept of another baby!

Coriander73 · 06/01/2006 09:22

Congratulations Mabel1973...

mabel1973 · 06/01/2006 09:24

Thank you coriander
Not feeling properly pg yet. no sickness sore boobs etc. Might give the docs a ring today to sort out my booking in with the MW - then it will feel more official!

mabel1973 · 06/01/2006 09:34

in my excitement I hadn't read through the thread properly - oops. just wanted to say congratulations to you too coriander X

Coriander73 · 06/01/2006 09:46

Thanks My boobs are sore ish...& the metallic taste in my mouth is getting stronger..yuk! I'm desperately praying that I want get morning sickness this time around! Was quite bad until 17 weeks last time...so fingers crossed!!!!

Have you worked out a DD yet?

mabel1973 · 06/01/2006 09:51

no I haven't... my last AF was about 1st dec (I am not very good with noting down dates), so not sure what that makes it - early sept?
Half of me is hoping for some symptoms soon, but then I remember how I used to retch every morning for the 1st 4 months and couldn't eat anything except cheese sandwhiches and pizza - v healthy!

Coriander73 · 06/01/2006 11:15

Assuming you are on a 28 day cycle...I reckon that makes you due around the 7th Sep!

Funny that, all I want at the moment is cheese & pizza! We had another one last night because I couldn't bear the thought of healthy food.... When I was sick with dd all I could eat was mashed potatoes!!

benjaminsmum · 06/01/2006 13:09

Hi
I have just returned from my scan at the hospital and it has a heartbeat!! YEAH!! There is also only one which is a bit of a relief. They have calculatd me at being five weeks and five days with a due date of 3rd September. I am glad it is September as I didn't what the baby to be the youngest in their school year! A bit premature I know but I think about stuff! Although ds was five days early so may still be August. Congrats to everyone else who is also due in September. It is good to talk openly about it here as only my parents know in real life and it is a bit early to go on about it too much. Can't wait to start feeling sick now and only six weeks to go till next scan.

Arww..that's great Bejaminsmum! I saw (by chance) my midwife yday who said to give her a ring when 7-8 weeks so they can send me for the first scan...I do hope all is well...you can't help but feel really cautious can you? Still so so excited...just want to tell everyone but we should wait a bit longer shouldn't we?!!!!!!

How old is NO 1? Sorry if you've said before...

Coriander73 · 06/01/2006 13:47

TopBanana · 06/01/2006 14:50

Thanks

Congratulations to you and everyone too

mootoo · 06/01/2006 15:04

Have you seen the calendar thing on the ivillage website - you type in the date of your last period, and it works out your due date and when you "did it"! Then you can look at how your pregnancy progresses.
Here's a link:

mabel1973 · 06/01/2006 19:08

Oh I will have a look at the ivillage thing - I am rubbish with dates!
Congratulations to you top banana!
We have told our parents this evening - they re all over the moon and I made an appointment with the doctor for monday morning.
Last time I didn't see a doctor at all, but was referred straight to the midwife as they told me that home preg tests are so accurate these days they didn't need to confirm it, but this time (diff health authority) I have to get it confirmed so need to find a sample bottle from somewhere by monday morning - either that or wash out an old jam jar!!

pucca · 06/01/2006 19:19

Just popping over from the due in Aug thread....

Congratulations to you all

benjaminsmum · 06/01/2006 20:05

Hi, my ds is two years tommorrow. Due to have a birthday party with bouncy castle and then meal out as it was my thirtith on the 3rd. However ds has been really ill for a week now. Keeps getting really high temp, vomiting and general crappyness. Poor thing has hardly slept as he keeps coughing, not eaten a thing for a week and he is supposed to party tomorrow. Just hoping medicine will keep him perky for the party.

Hi my DS was exactly the same around his 1st birthday in december, ended up on 2 lots of antibiotics. He is absolutely fine now amd appetites back. Hopefully your DS will be feeling better soon, maybe the party will take his mind off it! Have a great day tommorow
