Heehee, very good GYo

I was just thinking about a thread title too

"Wagon: get out of the way, we're falling like dominoes"

Grin
sorky · 01/09/2010 09:23

Opens a fresh packet of Gingernuts.....anyone?

Diege · 01/09/2010 09:30

Morning! Thanks for the new thread GYO; agree, it always surprises me when it ticks over into September and suddenly the leaves start dropping. It is quite a stressful time for me work-wise, as September always sees us dealing with the dregs of the re-sits/new admissions, before settling down come end of October.
No tests in the house to test with SORKY Grin. Temps have dropped though (1.0) and I feel very 'periody' so I'm going to hold off until period due. I'd rather see af than another ambiguous test reading I think! In my heart I think it was a very early chemical pregnancy (as presumably you must have to have some hcg in your system to get a positive?)and that my temps are only just catching on (hence the dip and rise, only to slowly fall again). We'll see of course, but very much looking forward now to a new cycle with NO early tests!!!!
TINKS, love the advice from SORKY - why not say you have 12 LOs, each born on different months Grin. Do you think that would work?
GYO that must have been great telling your mum/MIL - I bet they are thrilled for you x

CANT, just realised I don't have your
address to send letters from dds to. Could you e-mail it to me? Hope the sickness isn't too debilitating Sad

Dds at MIL today and ds at nursery, so will be able to get stuff done! Dh also at home so may go out for lunch which will be a treat!

essenceofSES · 01/09/2010 09:48

Morning!

Giraffe - thanks for the new thread :)

Gruff - great to hear from you and sounds like you've had a lovely week or so.

Diege - when is AF due?

Well the ttc soap opera continued here last night. To cut a long story short, no GOF :(
DH and I are fine but he came home v stressed and tired which led to some "discussions" about finances, ttc, work etc. As you may have gathered before, he is v sexist old fashioned in his views and really is feeling the pressure of providing for his family and we're still waiting for the extra mortgage funds to come through to pay for the last bit of the extension and the builders need their wages this week! DH just seems to hide this from me though so he doesn't "fail us" and I then don't understand. He reassured me he does want to ttc now and he does enjoy a good ol' GOF, just not last night :(

This morning he sent me a quick email
"morning sorry for last night, i just find it stressful not being in control of things that i believe that I have to provide to my good wife and my great son. (sorry for sounding sexist) We should here from the bank today or tomorrow and then we need to get a deed signed and returned to them to get the money into our account, which will take a load off my mind." so although we didn't get our GOF and this month is probably out for us, we had a really important talk.

Morning everyone else

morning- sickness kept me up most the night :( wondering if it's too early to be going to the GP to request the help of meds so i dont end up really ill again.

Gruff- yes, was diagnosed with hyperemesis with both DS & DD2... it's not nice... the way i'm going i see it going the same way this time... :(

Diege, will email address over next couple of days- can't really do much through sickness today...

essenceofSES · 01/09/2010 10:09

Thanks Giraffe!

Cant - I think I'd go to GP if I were you. The sooner you see them, the sooner they'll do something. I'm sorry you're suffering.

Builders are currently putting kitchen units together :)

I think I may take O to the playground down the road from us in a bit. Then hopefully he'll have his sleep in his buggy on the way back. Washing to go out on the line first though!

Diege · 01/09/2010 10:11

Ah September not as bad as I made out GYO - more a back to school feeling/anxiety that never really leaves you I think if you work in education GrinTeaching doesn;t start until October though,so Sept really more the anticipation of things going wrong (usually staffing - I am yet to find 2 member of staff to teach 2 modules!!!)
SES oh nooo!!!!! My first reaction (I can be quite hard-faced) if it were my dh would be along the lines of 'yeah ok, the chat was good but couldn't we have had a gof first/after or the chat ANY OTHER NIGHT????!!!! Having said that, did you temp rise today or might you still be in with a chance? It does sound like you have a lot going on there and that things will hopefully settle after the money situtaiton has sorted itself out x

essenceofSES · 01/09/2010 10:50

Diege - temp stayed low this morning.... Grin
I know what you mean about the whole anticipation time with work being worse ins ome ways than the actual busy times. I often find that.

Right washing on line so playground calls!

Diege · 01/09/2010 10:57

Hey SES, it wouldn't surprise me if your ovulaation was delayed this month (may be the stress of visitors etc) but either way looking good for a gof tonight possibly? Grin

Starshinetiger · 01/09/2010 11:19
tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 01/09/2010 12:08

went out vto sainsburys with girls what a stress Sad

got little star yogs with velc vouchers on packaging Grin

gping into town after lunch

sorky · 01/09/2010 13:12

well, that's a bit weird!

Post came this morning with a Birthday card from ELC with the 20% off voucher attached.

bit too spooky....

essenceofSES · 01/09/2010 13:26

Sorky - very spooky! I need a Halloween emoticon for you!

Diege - you could be right (I'm hoping so) but OPK yesterday was -ve and CBFM this morning was down from peak to a high Hmm Won't pressure DH tonight anyway as probably won't go down well and he's working late til about 9 or 10pm.

tink - supermarket shopping is hell I tell you!

Back from playground. I had to apologise to a little girl (of about 4yo) because she was playing shops and had a 10p and a 2p laid out to give people change and O picked them up and ran off with them Grin and Shock

Oven, fridge freezer and microwave have arrived! I think Moosy's oven was coming today as well?! They had to take the fridge freezer in through one of the new big kitchen windows! Thank goodness we haven't actually got the windows themselves yet!

O currently asleep in his buggy so I've been doing more washing and sorting.

sorky · 01/09/2010 13:46

Hi Ses, lol at O being a 'tealeaf' :) Good day for washing here too....havent done any though ;)

I have just successfully taught ds1 to ride a bike without stabilisers Grin

My work today is done :)

Diege · 01/09/2010 16:11

Wow SORKY that is spooky!! Wonder if TINKS will get one tomorrow?Wink
SES you never know, tomorrow might still be good for the egg? Agree, jumping on him tonight mught be a bit insensitive GrinTINKS, supermarket sounds tough...been there lots, worst when dd2 made hereself sick in frozen food isle as 'protest' at getting no sweets...
Well I crumbled and did a test (arrived today) and a clear NEGATIVE Sad I'mglad I did really so that I know where I stand - just need to eek out the next few days to give me a decent luteal phases (af due weekend-ish time). cd 22 today, (ov cd 12) so if I can get to cd 25 or so that would be a result! Think the early hcg must have been an early chemical pregnancy then...it was an oddly dark line that came up straight away (I read somewhere that this can be a bad sign so early on, choromosomally speaking,so that would have played on my mind had today's test been pos). Silver linings and all that!
Off to have a nice strong cup of full caffeinated coffee!!!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 01/09/2010 17:03

evening Grin

Rugbylovingmum · 01/09/2010 23:02

Hi all,

sorry I've been awol for so long - we had the house move, then I had a lot of work stuff to sort out and then I had a rotten bug that knocked me for six and I haven't had time to post. I have tried to have a quick glance now and then and I spotted a couple of honks. Congratulations Cant (and your friends) and Gruff GrinGrinGrin. Can someone do a quick round up of what's going on please.

I'm on 2 weeks holiday now thank god, I'm really ready for a rest. We're just chilling out at home, trying to get a few odd jobs done and having family days out. C is still doing a couple of mornings/days a week at nursery so DP and I get some time to just relax together which is lovely. We all had a fab day out today at the big aquarium in Hull. It's really well set up for LO's and DD loved crawling around the tanks watching the fish then charging around the soft play. She is so much fun just now, crawling and climbing over everything and chattering away although she has also started having crazy little tantrums Shock. She gets so frustrated when we don't understand her babbling or when we stop her climbing on the tv and just sits and screams at us Shock. Luckily she is easily distracted so they don't last long but I'm dreading her terrible two's Wink.

Right off to bed. We are attempting to put up a curtain pole in DD's room tomorrow so we can finally swap the blind for curtains and then we need to get the stairgates fitted as she has started crawling up the stairs. Could be a very fraught day, DIY isn't DPs strong point and patience isn't mine. Keep your fingers crossed we both survive intact Wink.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 02/09/2010 09:41

hi rugby you have been busy
i have been to aquarium in hull it is great isnt it Grin

quiet day here

dd1 is getting so moody now roll on monday Wink

Diege · 02/09/2010 10:01

Roll on Monday (well Tues for us) indeed TINKS! They were playing uplifting songs for parents on the radio this morning in anticipation of normal service being resumed Grin
Great to hear from you RUGBY- sounds like you've been busy, and dd sounds very sweet too. Other than the pregnancies on here, let's see...SMITHY is (I think) back in the Uk now? (or en route), SORKY is cheerleading furiously at anyone who even hints at ttc-ing (while strapped safely on the wagon herself), SES is gearing up for seduction with dh,GYO is fastened in for the time being but the belt is coming loose..., TINKS is getting some excellent bargains ready for winter, I had an early chemical pregnancy this month (bfp then bfn) but am quite happy that's what it was as at least something's happening and ny body seem to be ovulating etc...what else??? MOOSY has been busy with cake making for party...arghh my brain is mushed...anyone else chip in?
Hi BUMPS, you ok?
Dh out with dds again today so planning on a quiet morning then taking ds into town to have a look at H&m (for him) and also pick dd3 some new polo shirts for school. Everything else she has for school are hand-me downs, bar a few skirts and 2 new pinafores, and polos we have were looking a bit tatty!
Hope everyone is well x

essenceofSES · 02/09/2010 10:16

Morning Diege and tink :)

Rugby - sounds like things have been hectic with you and bug wouldn't have helped. C sounds like she's doing really well :) Enjoy your 2 weeks off work.

Bumps - is that an X to mark the spot? Hope all is ok with you?

Temp still not raised this morning so wondering if I'm actually ovulating at all?! After +ve OPKs Sun and Mon, I had two -ves Tues and Wed. CD19 today so don't think this month would have happened anyway :(

Diege · 02/09/2010 11:11

Hmm, that's odd SES...although they do say pos opks just show your body attempting to ov.I'd keep an eye on the opks as you could get another surge later on (tis possible)or it could possibly be an annovulatory cycle (we all get at least one a year apparentlyHmm). Don't give up hope for this cycle just yet though x

sorky · 02/09/2010 14:24

The stress of trying to shag your dh whilst parents are visiting, knowing it was a now or not month, could well have delayed it Ses.
Aren't you having an extension built too? Wink

Hi Diege, LP is getting good isn't it?

Goodness Rugby, you have had a lot on your plate. Sounds like a holiday is needed :)

Bumps are planning on digging there for treasure later? Grin

Washing day here today. Dead proud of my little man, he's been out on his bike since he did his work this morning.
We covered Hannibal/Carthage this morning, very interesting. I do love History.

Well, gotta give the chooks some corn. See you all later

Diege · 02/09/2010 14:42

Sounds idyllic SORKY! Out of interest, what do youn home schoolers do with hols etc? Do you have structured ones as such? Great about the mike riding - such a great feeling when they master it.
Yes, very proud of my LP I can only think it's the AC that's done it, and my ov has also come forward from last mths day 16 to day 12 this time. Also enjoying the Toni Weschler book - very empowering!
