Crazy names you considered?

During my pregnancy, my partner & I got rather excited about naming our now four-month-old twins. We ended up naming them Cristiano & Nahlia but we did consider Nathaneri & Raya, Kelis & Jamesison, & even Thelma & Caddi.

Don't judge me, I was hormonal! Given the chance, I'd have named them Fork & Knife! :-)

Just wondered what crazy/funny/embarrassing names you considered for your little one?

with dd1 we seriously considered cascade nn cassie a honeymoon baby and we'd spent our honeymoon visiting waterfalls
trinity was also a serious possibility
17 years she's very relieved we changed our minds

Nando95 · 26/06/2010 17:51

Chaise and Blaise, former for a boy latter for a girl- got put of with the negative reactions from others so chose Kian for ds1 instead!!

meadowlarks · 26/06/2010 18:09

I invented "Teddington" for some reason.

MamaMimi · 27/06/2010 00:10

Grover = if I had a ds.

Dp wouldn't allow it tho'! Besides I had 2 dd's.

Linnet · 27/06/2010 00:24

Just wanted to pop in and say I know a girl named Blaise, she's 17 or 18. A very unusual name I'd never heard it before and now Nando has mentioned it.

MrsRhettButler · 27/06/2010 00:32

mathanxiety · 27/06/2010 04:33

Marie-Pascale -- DD1 was due on Easter Sunday. In the end I was a week late, so went with something else less Eastery. I was also seriously considering Denise, right up to about 8 months.

I wanted to call ds1 Ford. I really thought it was just the best name!
I remeber being at work, I must have been about 34/35 weeks and yet another person asked me if we had a name (we had a short list) but all of a sudden Ford popped into my head and I was convinced it was the perfect name and dp would love it, so I told everyone that the baby would be called Ford.
When I told dp, he looked at me like I had 2 heads!
Thank God he was there to stop me doing it

LittleSilver · 27/06/2010 20:08

Hero

Magalyxyz · 27/06/2010 20:14

Dahlia.

I am not sure that it's crazy enough to be a real entry in this crazy competition, but I'm pretty glad that I didn't go with it!!

Also I thought Merlot was gorgeous when I was pregnant.

SoLongAsItsHealthy · 29/06/2010 08:32

Considered Monty. So glad we didn't do it. Gave him a lovely, strong traditional name instead. And now when I hear Monty I just hear "Fetch boy!". Also realise it is terribly try-hard and so glad that in the end we...well...didn't.

marriednotdead · 29/06/2010 08:47

I really wanted Tico but got laughed at- this by the man who wanted his ds to be called Boris

Cortina · 29/06/2010 11:39

Sheherazade - how do you pronounce? Often wondered.

MayorNaze · 29/06/2010 11:41
