Congratulations! I much prefer your list and I personally think that if you can't agree, Mummy has prerogative. Good luck.

NameAgeLocation · 28/03/2016 14:50

Please not Elvis or Gideon Shock

Congrats on your new son!

capercaillie · 28/03/2016 14:52

Like your list! His...not so much. The only one on there that's passable is Gideon. Kyan could become Kieran which is also nice.

I suspect my DH agreed to my suggestions after I gave birth...

dementedma · 28/03/2016 14:52

I love all of your list, and only Gideon from his. Is he being serious?

GreenLounger · 28/03/2016 14:53

He really is Sad I can't find a name that even compromises!

Congratulations on the birth of your son! I like your list more, particularly Alexander and Edward.Don't like any of his, to me they sound like a West/Kardashian short list......

228agreenend · 28/03/2016 14:57

Yours are traditional, his are sir name-y. Can you find a name that fits somewhere in between, or do you have a mutual family name you could use. I guess you need an unusual traditional name!

Ashley, instead of Ash

captainfarrell · 28/03/2016 14:59

OAK???? Hmm you really need to put your foot down!

GreenLounger · 28/03/2016 14:59

Ashley is better, but I don't particularly like it... It's okay, but I want to name him something I like!

I even offered to go to Fletcher, something id never pick, but thought that it was meeting in the middle - he didn't like it. I thought he'd think twice after the birth, awful delivery actually... Nope, he's having none of it! Sad

Congratulations!
Also vastly prefer your list.

Not on either of your lists, but what about Pascal (Pas-kahl) - it's a name that means ' Easter'. It's unusual at present, but has a long history. The Cornish version is 'Pascoe'.

Or, traditionally, Dominic was often used for boys born on a Sunday.

SanityClause · 28/03/2016 15:00

Your names are mostly a bit boring, and his are all a bit "out there".

Of the two lists, I like Reuben, Kieran, Zachary and Dante.

Are Kieran and Kyan sufficiently similar to compromise on? Or how about Cian (the c is hard, so a bit like Kieran and Kyan).

Ben
Harry

thebestfurchinchilla · 28/03/2016 15:01

I like Pascal. quite popular in France. Dominic was my boy choice but had 2 girls!

228agreenend · 28/03/2016 15:02

Maxwell
Marshall
Clifford
Wesley

Maybe choose a first name from your list, and a middle name from his.

Congrats on the birth of you little Easter bunny.

(Any pics?)

FauxFox · 28/03/2016 15:02

Rowan
Hardy
Miles
Lewis
Louis
Charlie

GreenLounger · 28/03/2016 15:03

I wouldn't say my list was boring, but then I wouldn't Grin

He doesn't like Ben or Harry...

I love them both!

I quite like Cian, but not sure if I like it enough Sad

The thing with his list is that they are quite showbizzy and it's hard to live up to a name like that in the real world. It can come over a bit chavvy when you live in, I don't know, somewhere like Huddersfield and you're called Dante or Oak!

thebestfurchinchilla · 28/03/2016 15:04

Love love love Miles but prefer the spelling of Myles.

Dontlickyourplate · 28/03/2016 15:04

Love your list, hate his, sorry!

Call the baby Benjamin Bunny to keep with the Easter theme.
Congratulations Flowers

SoThisisMe · 28/03/2016 15:05

Seth
Cooper
