this woman, i am supposed to work with has barly been there in 6 years!

don't you think it's a bit out of order from the same employer to have to cover all that for 1 person?

she's been having BABIES?????????????????

what a bitch

I hope you've written nasty things about her on the loo walls.

Anna8888 · 21/09/2008 21:09

No. It's legal. It is her right. You might not agree with the law but you cannot reasonably find your colleague unreasonable.

IdrisTheDragon · 21/09/2008 21:10

I don't have a problem with her having done that. What are you suggesting she should have done - had fewer babies? Gone to work somewhere else? Stopped working?

coppertop · 21/09/2008 21:10

YANBU.

She should give birth on the office/factory floor and have the decency to clean up the mess afterwards too. Taking maternity leave. Whatever next?

lulumama · 21/09/2008 21:11

meh

WilfSell · 21/09/2008 21:11

Are you a troll?

It's the law. Would you prefer she were on state benefits? Her kids will be paying your pension.

Stop complaining and being bitter.

FabioHungoverNoShoutingPlease · 21/09/2008 21:11

coppertop - do think it's ok to have babies as well as a job????????

I'm shocked.
I always thought you were a reasonable mner.

LazyLinePainterJane · 21/09/2008 21:11

MAybe you could stab her in the abdomen or something, leaving her unable to have any more kids. Would that make you feel better?

pgwithnumber3 · 21/09/2008 21:12

Or we could be like China and only have 1 child per couple rule. That would stop all these awful mothers having more than 2.4 children and taking maternity leave.

By the way, do you pay her wages yourself?

FabioHungoverNoShoutingPlease · 21/09/2008 21:12

WilfSell - sh. Let's just run wiht it.

wannaBe · 21/09/2008 21:12

you are going to be crucified for this.

Fwiw I partly agree with you. Not that it's out of order that this woman has had 4 children, that is her perogative after all, but I can see it from an employer's pov if they have to keep a job open for that long and constantly have to train others to do it time after time.

But it's the law so...

WideWebWitch · 21/09/2008 21:12

Yes of course you're being unreasonable, wtf has it got to do with you?

WideWebWitch · 21/09/2008 21:13

Oh fgs wannabe, what?

DoubleBluff · 21/09/2008 21:13

Oh no....

WideWebWitch · 21/09/2008 21:14

Hang on, so the logical conclusion is that if a woman has four children she shouldn't be allowed to earn a living? Hmm, so how does that work then in terms of who pays for everything?

coppertop · 21/09/2008 21:14

Fabio - Personally I think we should make pg women work until they drop. Feckless creatures. Send them up the extra wide chimneys and down the mines, I say. It'll make them think twice before daring to get pregnant again.

bodybag · 21/09/2008 21:15

whats it got to do withme? i have to pick up her slack all the time.

i think 2 is quite enough burden on 1 employer, if you want more than 2 imo you should get aa job somewhere else to spread the burden.

it's not fair on one place.

LackaDAISYcal · 21/09/2008 21:15

fabio, i think coppertop was being...um...ironic

OP, YABU....it's none of your business.

ethanchristopher · 21/09/2008 21:16

lmao

i dont think your being completely unreasonable

i feel sorry for the employer personally, hes gotta waste all that money. how long in the six years has she been working? and does she take unpayed leave aswell?

UpSinceCarpOClock · 21/09/2008 21:16

So if you were supreme ruler and could choose, how many maternity/paternity leaves would you ration out to each parent then?

Oh and yes YABU

bodybag · 21/09/2008 21:16

and her kids won't be paying my pension i will have my own pension thanks very much

NoBiggy · 21/09/2008 21:16

She's had sex 4 TIMES!!!

WideWebWitch · 21/09/2008 21:17

If you have to 'pick up her slack' then that's your EMPLOYER'S fault, not hers.

But I don't know why I'm rising to this tbh.

pgwithnumber3 · 21/09/2008 21:17

Are you Maggie Thatcher bodybag?

bodybag · 21/09/2008 21:17

she also wears this horrid black tent that even a client remarked looked like it had been made from blackout curtains from ww2
