this woman, i am supposed to work with has barly been there in 6 years!

don't you think it's a bit out of order from the same employer to have to cover all that for 1 person?

well they renew my contract

besides which I have only ever had SMP which they can claim back for the most part

MrsMattie · 21/09/2008 22:03

God, if I were your boss I'd be telling you to go elsewhere and share the burden. You sound incredibly miserable!

WilfSell · 21/09/2008 22:03

What bodybag, to another employer? God you really are brainless.

Perhaps the new employer could act illegally and prevent her from using her maternity rights?

Or maybe each employer could just employ one woman each of childbearing age.

Yup. Euthanase the rest, or leave barefoot and pregnant.

You trolls don't have many braincells between you do ya?

ethanchristopher · 21/09/2008 22:05

i was actually talking about my uncle there

i think you actually need to read what im saying not skimming it then coming to your own misguided conclusion

if you read what im saying im ACTUALLY agreeing with you

BUT I CAN SEE BOTH SIDES OF THE ARGUMENT

And yes i no men can leave but they dont get payed and women are allowed far longer. i say this because it was on the news a couple of weeks ago because his wife had died in chidbirth but he still wasnt allowed payed maternity leave to care for his baby until she was old enough to put into nursery/childcare/decide to quit job to care for her himself

Quattrocento · 21/09/2008 22:06

EC I think you are the same person as Bodybag, and you are not supposed to post pretending to be different people on the same thread. MN can tell whose computer it comes from.

The reason I think you are the same person is that your language and spelling is identical. Right down to unpayed for unpaid.

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:06

well if your well off enought to afford more than 2 kids perhaos you shouldn't get any mat pay after the 1st 2kids.

and if you know your going to be sick for months then off on mat leave i would feel morally wrong doing that.

well i must admit to having a sneeky laugh on hearing this laqtest baby is a boy naughty i know but still.

ethanchristopher · 21/09/2008 22:07

im not bodybag. ive been around here for a while.

i apologize for being unable to spell unpaid...

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:07

OP posts:
Janos · 21/09/2008 22:08

How do you hold down this fab job, bodybag when your spelling and grammar are so poor? How did you get it in the first place, come to that?

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:09

and i can spell paid thankyou no offense ec

OP posts:
ethanchristopher · 21/09/2008 22:09

WilfSell · 21/09/2008 22:09

Oh I can't be arsed. EC you haven't got an argument, except the one in your own head.

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:09

just because i cant be bothered on a message board

OP posts:
ethanchristopher · 21/09/2008 22:10

ooo great comeback

and no i do have an argument

your just blindsighted

LyraSilvertongue · 21/09/2008 22:10

I do think this woman is taking the piss just a teensy bit, taking fours years plus sick leave off work in the six years she's been there (assuming she takes the full year each time). I would feel guilty doing that to my employer, however 'entitled' I was.

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:10

yes we are v v quick.

OP posts:
bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:11

you dummies

OP posts:
Janos · 21/09/2008 22:12

Maybe if you did people would take your opinions seriously? Just a thought. You know what those are, don't you?

LackaDAISYcal · 21/09/2008 22:12

I was thinking that as well Quattro.

The full moon was last week dontcha know OP!

she wouldn't know that she was going to be off sick at the start would she; not all pregnancies are the same?

and maybe your sick quiet mirth at it being another boy is misguided; after all isn't she only going to do it again to have the DD that she so desperately wants?

You really are a nasty piece of work.

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:12

lst, at last some common sense.

OP posts:
ethanchristopher · 21/09/2008 22:14

sorry that sounded very childish.

okay well whatever wilfsell. you are failing to see that my argument is the same as yours but w/e

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:14

she knows full well she will be sick, she was with all the others, funny thing is though, noone ever saw or heard her being sick once.

OP posts:
MrsMattie · 21/09/2008 22:16

Are you seriously playing doctor now as well? Blimey, maybe you need to take a few weeks off sick. The stress of it all is obviously messing with your head.

bodybag · 21/09/2008 22:17

funny though isn't it.
you would of thought if she was really that sick, she would of been sick at work at least once
