AIBU to ask my sister to stop asking about the housekeeper?

I have a lovely housekeeper who comes every other day (not weekends). Yes, I know this might seem like a lot to some, but I don’t like cleaning. It is the last thing I want to do when I finish work. I like everything to be done so I can just get on with making dinner and spending time with my family.
Yet, every time my sister calls (we live in different parts of the country), she seems more interested in what my housekeeper has done today rather than me and her nephews. I just do not understand why she is so invested in it.
Would I be rude to ask her to stop asking about what the housekeeper has done? I just want to catch up with my sister, not talk about chores.

I would just ask her why she keeps asking.

She's probably confused as to why you are referring to your cleaner as a housekeeper.

Give her the telephone number of the housekeeper. She can speak to her directly then.

Well perhaps she’s asking because she doesn’t understand the difference as I certainly don’t and it seems I’m not the only one!

I'm confused too. If everything is done why are you cooking dinner for everyone. What is there to do other than a bit of cleaning?

I suspect she is just curious and a bit envious. I would love a housekeeper and feel oddly compelled to ask you all the things she does (it’s like dreaming about what you would spend a lottery win on for me!)

i don’t get what all the faux confusion from other posters is about. Very obvious that housekeeper and cleaner are different.

Simple, only speak to her on the none housekeeper days and your problem is solved.

As an aside all people I know with a housekeeper have them in everyday and they usually cook dinner.

Mumsnet is really weird about cleaners and by extension housekeepers it would seem. Like it tantamount to modern day slavery rather than reasonable well paid job for those who work on a self employed basis.

A cleaner , cleans your house
A housekeeper also cleans but also does other tasks. Irons , change bedding , washing , puts clothes away , empty dish washer etc

OP ignore everyone with no imagination. I would LOVE the setup you have, there would be no end of things to do to keep on top of my household, cleaning and otherwise. I’ve spent hours today alone just putting random toys and games back where they belong, in the correct boxes / drawers etc, and sorting out one child’s clothes into what no longer fits and then sorting THAT into charity / sell / bin etc.

That’s what my cleaner does 🤷‍♀️

The housekeepers I’ve known lived in, with a bachelor or widower.

This is so funny as there was a thread the other day where everyone was (rightly) telling the OP that a role she was referring to as a cleaner role was that of a housekeeper.
