To be pissed off with my husband. I said how upset I am that the child abuse and rape leaflet from the government is judged as necessary and we are continuing to let these men into our country who pose a threat to women. He just shrugged - I said doesn’t it bother you these men are coming into our society. We have daughters , I am a woman. I absolutely do not feel safe anymore where we live and would not walk on my own anymore. He said no not really. Absolutely furious with him. Does he not have to care as he’s a big tall man? I’m so pissed off, I’ve walked off and he’s given me the ick.

Men can't fully get it, obviously, but they should bloody well try!

Are these leaflets going in to schools?

Its very very rare for child abuse and rape to be committed by a random stranger he probably thought you where being racist and didn't want to get into it

I feel so cross about it. I have no problem with safe legal migration- but that isn’t what’s happening. I feel our government are not protecting us women who live here and it’s scaring me. And for a man to not get it. When I grew up we could go to night clubs, walk round parks on our own etc now I wouldn’t dare where we live. We’ve had so many incidents reported here. I’m just cross I think and sad.

Happily say I’m culturist- we have a safe culture for women and women are seen as equal. Women here are respected.

There's plenty of White British men raping women so perhaps this leaflet could be posted to all UK men to remind them not to rape because lord knows they need it.

I get what you are saying but I don't think you have the right to impose someone to feel the way you feel. Me and my husband disagree on many things and soemtimes it makes my blood boil but he is his own person and he has the right to think and feel the way he wants so we just agree to disagree.

Given the huge numbers of child abuse, domestic abuse, rape within a relationship and sexual violence towards women in general I honestly can’t understand how you can say women in the UK are safe and respected within UK culture.

Have you been to India? Do you know it's the rape capital of the world? Afghanistan? Go live in those places and find out.

Is he concerned about seeming racist? Some people have said these have been used to stir up hate towards certain people. Or that you're not talking about dangers towards everyone?

The idea of the leaflet is to tackle the cultural difference that are in place. Sadly in some countries these things are still normal so by providing the information it’s helping those that enter the county understand the expectations here. Just like if I went to a Middle East country o would try to understand the expectations there.

Anyway OP, with regards to you not feeling protected by the government, women would still be raped without immigration.

You can't remove British men from this country. Unless you want to reintroduce the death penalty. However, it's easy enough NOT to import more men especial undocumented ones! Why is this so hard to understand? Criminal record anyone? Who knows??

Where I live has some of the highest rates of femicide and domestic abuse in Western Europe.

I’m not sure what your whataboutery is really hoping to achieve. The situation in other countries does not prove anything when it comes to the so called culture of safety towards women, the child sexual abuse figures and the huge percentage of women who have been sexually assaulted easily show otherwise.

Don't understand "criminal record anyone". What do you mean, that debating and issue about criminality means you must be a criminal? If so, is ridiculous.
