If my 8 year old had a few friends over for a party she would be happy with that.

ClassicallyAnnoyed · Yesterday 14:30

I like it.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · Yesterday 14:30

No, I'd be pleased with that!

NerrSnerr · Yesterday 14:30

Of course not. Why would it be?

plims · Yesterday 14:31

It’s really cute.

Tel12 · Yesterday 14:31

It's amazing! Well done.

Ethelspagetti · Yesterday 14:31

My daughter’s 16 and she said it’s really cute!

maudelovesharold · Yesterday 14:31

Who’s saying it’s embarrassing?

OrangeCrushes · Yesterday 14:31

I'm not clear on how voting works for this.

It is a nice cake.

CleaningWoes · Yesterday 14:31

I think it's cute. My daughter loves a capybara. It looks lovely and chocolatey too! I'm guessing you've paid big bucks for it OP and you're not happy with it?

AdjectiveColourNoun · Yesterday 14:31

Of course not, it looks great and appropriate for an 8yo. Although maybe a bit small depending how many you are serving to. Is it so small you couldn’t fit an 80 on it, in which case it might be a bit babyish.

Moltenpink · Yesterday 14:32

It’s lovely and you can’t beat homemade!

Sartre · Yesterday 14:32

My 7 yo DS would love it! Huge capybara fan.

Goldengirl123 · Yesterday 14:32

What’s wrong with it?

SurleyTurnip · Yesterday 14:32

If someone made that cake for me I would be delighted.

ThreeTescoBags · Yesterday 14:32

It looks like a lovely homemade cake to me. I'd be delighted if someone made that for me. Even more so if I was 8 and into capybaras

NoArmaniNoPunani · Yesterday 14:34

It's cute but probably depends on the 8yo as some like to be more grown up than others

Arregaithel · Yesterday 14:35

it looks as if it's melting slightly @Juststickitonthetopandcallitaday but given the heat I wouldn't be worried to serve it.

It's a cute cake 🎂

Thebinisrightthere · Yesterday 14:35

It doesn't look professional so if you've paid a lot for it you've been a bit stung but it's fine if it's homemade. I've served up far worse and my dds were just grateful I'd made an effort. It's really sweet

Ritaskitchen · Yesterday 14:36

I wouldn’t be happy if it was a professionally baked cake that I had paid for.
As a home baker it’s a fantastic and imaginative effort. It wouldn’t be embarrassing. It’s a fun cake.

ToKittyornottoKitty · Yesterday 14:36

How could it be embarrassing? It looks fine

Kingfisherfly · Yesterday 14:37

I think it's lovely. TBH at a kid's party I'd be embarrased to serve an expensive custom made cake. Homemade (and mine are not as good as yours) or boxed from a sukermarket.

hugasaurus · Yesterday 14:37

It looks lovely and very tasty! When I make a cake it looks like it’s been iced by Hagrid but that’s part of the charm I think (so I tell myself!).

Poppingby · Yesterday 14:41

Did you make it or buy it OP? Either way, embarrassing - absolutely not!

omghereistrouble · Yesterday 14:42

my birthday in a few weeks and i would love this
