Do you let your dog piss up someone else’s bin?

Every week when we put the bin out ready for collection, our ring doorbell picks up the same neighbour who lives round the corner, let their big ass dog piss up our bin. Would this bother you and would you say something?

Wouldn't bother me, the bin stays out in the back garden.

Itsjustsoconfusing · Yesterday 22:37

Wouldn't bother me. It's a bin, they live outside. Dog weeing on it causes no bother

intrepidpanda · Yesterday 22:39

Yuk. That's gonna stink in summer
Dog owners are such dirty people

humptydumptyfelloff · Yesterday 22:40

I have dogs and no I wouldn’t let them pee up against someone’s bin.

I would be inclined to be outside at the time the neighbour walks there dog and hover round the bin area when they walk past so it doesn’t happen a few times.

or if it did start to pee I would tell the dog no but then I am menopausal and little things are really pissing me off at the moment so I could be just being over dramatic I dunno 🤷‍♀️

freckledsloth · Yesterday 22:41

Would bother me, it’s grim. And yes I would say something.

peonysinthesunshine · Yesterday 22:42

I agree it’s the smell of it that also bothers me and the complete lack of consideration for others property? Just seems so rude to me

Not of dog piss though

Lou670 · Yesterday 22:44

No I don't. I have dogs and on bin day and all the bins are out in the street I will pull my dogs away from them. It's your property and why can't dog owners just pull their dog away?

MyPuppyLuv · Yesterday 22:46

No, and I don't allow them to go on boundary shrubs or car tyres, either.

vodkaredbullgirl · Yesterday 22:47

My dog doesn't know how to cock his leg up, never has.

Do you go and smell the bottom of the outside of your bin?

Allonthesametrain · Yesterday 22:54

I think the main reason I've had female dogs is because of cocking leg up everywhere, much like fellas really. Loved my male dogs growing up but lifting leg to pee and nothing you can do about it in that moment 😆

It would of course be nice of the owner to use different routes so not always your bin. Personally I really couldn't care less, it's a bin, not intending to rub my hands down it.

Much better than dog shit as you step outside of your house, now that's irresponsible and lazy.

Fukinell · Yesterday 22:54

I don't let my dog no but it wouldn't bother me if one did on mine I give it a wash every couple of weeks same as the corner of my garden wall. I spent ages teaching my dog what's ok and I'm sure ring bells have me saying 'off the grass you don't live there' 😂

Harhar · Yesterday 22:57

I wouldn’t let my dog wee on someone’s bin. Wouldn’t overly bother me on mine though. You can also use it for bagged dog poo if you like. It’s a bin after all.

I have so many great names I would use for male dogs but I will prob never use them for this same reason!

Owning bitches is so much easier in this respect.

Oh and no - I wouldnt let my dog pee on someone's bin, tyres, grave area, front garden etc.

paddleboardingmum · Yesterday 23:02

Bit rude but on the other hand could deter rats?

Harhar · Yesterday 23:13

Does your camera notify you every time someone walks past? That might add to you being wound up by things that don’t really matter.

Lol 😆 with you on this

rumblegrumble · Yesterday 23:26

Wouldn't let my dog do it, but wouldn't care at all if someone else's dog did it to mine. It's a bin. It's dirty. A bit of dog piss really isn't going to make it any more dirty. I spend as little time near it as possible and I personally just touch the lid and handles, which as far as I'm aware no dog on earth is capable of reaching. Why are you touching the sides and bottom?

Zov · Yesterday 23:34

It's foul isn't it @peonysinthesunshine

We put our bins out on the public footpath (30 feet from our front window, and not at the foot of the driveway - as the driveway is at the side of the house in front of the garage, so we can't see the bins from the living room window.)

We put them on the path in front of the living room window because people don't let their dogs piss up the bins - because we can SEE them. Same with the recyclable tubs. I put them full view of the window.

I caught some cheeky cow letting her fucking mutt piss up our blue cardboard bag some months ago - when it was at the bottom of the driveway. She didn't notice me at the top of the drive, and she was standing there while he pissed all over the bag with the cardboard in. I said loudly 'errr, hello!' She saw me, and jumped out of her skin, and yanked the dog away and ran.

Stupid cow. After that, I started putting everything where I could see it from the living room window. Filthy skank probably lets her dog shit all over the pavements too and never picks it up. It's dog owners like her who give all dog owners a bad name.

It is the council's property isn't it and can't you just pour a bucket of soapy water over it ?

Why the hell should anyone have to do this?

Shall I just go and piss all over their doormats and their cars and their front doors..... ? (the ones who let their dogs piss all over peoples wheelie bins and cardboard bags etc?)

After all, they can just pour a bucket of soapy water over it?!

InTheWindow · Today 00:07

Nope, Ddog gets mainly off lead walks in woods and on quiet tracks, if he is on a lead it’s because he needs to pay close attention to me, walk at heel and he is not allowed to pee on things.

Tamtim · Today 00:26

That is disgusting. Some people have no common decency or manners.
