Do you let your dog piss up someone else’s bin?

Every week when we put the bin out ready for collection, our ring doorbell picks up the same neighbour who lives round the corner, let their big ass dog piss up our bin. Would this bother you and would you say something?

It’s a bin, I wouldn’t give a damn if a drunk passer by took a crap in it.

If somebody lives in a council house, and I kick the door down and piss on the carpet, the person living there would tell me to not piss in their house.

They wouldn’t say “stop pissing in the council’s house”.

🙄

And next week's dog hating thread will be.........?

I’m grateful that my dog only pees on the bin of the neighbour I don’t like. He’s a goodun

Eirava · 13/05/2026 23:58

Yes

Aloealoealoe45 · 14/05/2026 00:58

A bit of dog piss would probably improve the smell of my bin. It’s currently got about 30 rotting rodents that the bastard cats have killed over the last couple of weeks in it, thankfully only another 5 days until it gets collected.

Oh...it's not really the dogs I blame. It's the person at the end of the lead who is responsible.

We’re due a dogs in cafes thread I think. It’s been about 10 days until the last one. Here’s a template for the first couple of posts if anyone wants to c&p.

“A MUTT on a piece of STRING was in a cafe that allows dogs in the other day. I will NEVER visit again”

”THIS!! 👏 👏 👏 👏 “

Our NDN lets their dog piss on our car’s tyres. The car has cameras so picks them up walking past every day and sure enough they don’t even attempt to stop it. DH gets really pissed off but it seems like an odd request to ask them to stop. Tbh they’re so weird they’d find a way to be vindictive if we asked so it isn’t worthwhile.

PartyQuestion30th · 14/05/2026 07:18

Our small bitch goes up on her tippy toes and cocks her leg when doing marker weed trying to get her scent above other dogs’ scent. The trainer said ‘dominant bitch’, I was quietly proud.

bins, I try and stop her seeing on bins and driveways…

PotholesAnonymous · 14/05/2026 08:10

There are a lot of dog walkers around my way. There are rivers of piss all over the pavements every day outside our houses. In the summer it stinks.
Yes, they piss on the bins too.
Dog ownership is gross in so many ways.

Harhar · 14/05/2026 08:31

Rivers of piss! How do you get around? Gondolas? Dinghies?

I'd hate this, it'll stink to high heaven, my bins live outside my back door and I don't want to smell dog piss whenever I go outside.

My bins don't stink left to their own devices, everything I put in them is either properly bagged up, rinsed and dry, or dried cardboard, nothing to create a smell.

Besafeeatcake · 14/05/2026 09:52

peonysinthesunshine · 11/05/2026 22:42

I agree it’s the smell of it that also bothers me and the complete lack of consideration for others property? Just seems so rude to me

You mean the councils property on a public pavement? Unfortunately not sure you have a leg to stand on. If you don’t like it maybe put your bins out after that time.

MandingoAteMyBaby · 14/05/2026 14:05

Baffling the extent to which dog owners are contorting themselves to justify spraying piss on other people’s property.

Monty36 · 14/05/2026 14:37

It would bother me. Because the dog owner knows the dog is weeing against something whilst not personal property it is something linked to someone’s home. It might as well be your property as you are expected to look after it.
So allowing your dog to wee on someone’s bin is disrespectful. I would find it unacceptable, unnecessary and lacking.
