Would you go to Disney world Orlando this year? We were considering booking for us and our 2 children, was meant to book it tonight.
I’m really unsure with the current condition of the world right now.
what would you do?

No. No I would not

I won’t step foot in the states until Trump is out

(I’m sure that’s a monumental loss to him, but I just couldn’t)

EconomyClassRockstar · 02/03/2026 21:08

If you mean as a political protest, that's up to you. If you mean is it safe in Orlando? Yes. It's literally Disney World.

Exactly, this!

Icecreamisthebest · 02/03/2026 21:09

No. Holidays are supposed to be looked forward to with excitement and anticipation. I would not be able to do that with the US.

LifesabagofRevels · 02/03/2026 21:09

Had thought about taking the teen to NY but scrapped that idea when the orange man returned to the White House. So no, I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.
I don’t think I’m alone in this either, never seen so many ads for US tourism, and it’s definitely not an algorithm because I haven’t been looking to go.
Lots of football fans I know who’d ordinarily attend are skipping the World Cup too.

WineBeforeWhine · 02/03/2026 21:09

I’m sure Trump will be heart broken. Protests like this are worthless. I say go and enjoy Disney.

Sesma · 02/03/2026 21:09

If you are unsure it would be a waste of money, why go somewhere you are unsure about, go somewhere you want to go

MrsTerryPratchett · 02/03/2026 21:10

No. It's making a difference and signalling noncompliance. I won't go until he's gone.

All I've been getting today is adverts for Dubai!!!

Just wondering, were you around for the SA apartheid boycott?

MorphingintoMargo · 02/03/2026 21:12

No! I won’t be going to the US for the foresee able future. We were due to go and visit our friends in California this year. We have always enjoyed our trips there and California is pretty liberal, but there is no way I would consider visiting. Not until that orange, peed (sic), lunatic is no longer in charge.

YiddlySquat · 02/03/2026 21:13

I’d rather superglue my eyes shut than travel to anywhere in America.

It’s not safe, is full of ableists and bigots and they have people who aren’t law enforcement shooting people in the face for no good reason.

Lambington · 02/03/2026 21:13

No.

TheGrimSmile · 02/03/2026 21:14

Absolutely not. There are so many amazing places to go to. Why would you choose to go there now.

Toottooot · 02/03/2026 21:14

I’d go tomorrow if I could.

Londonrach1 · 02/03/2026 21:14

No not at the moment. When's the next president election?

PinotPinot · 02/03/2026 21:16

No, I wouldn't unless I needed to. Definitely not for Disneyworld.

Ophir · 02/03/2026 21:16

Yes, and I’m planning to go, I love the US and going back to Seattle

swingingbytheseat · 02/03/2026 21:16

No

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 02/03/2026 21:16

Yes

WiseMoose · 02/03/2026 21:18

I am doing. I want to see my family.

I wouldn't be travelling just for a regular holiday though.

Lonelycrab · 02/03/2026 21:18

No fucking way.

My ds wants to go to the US.

He now understands it’s not safe under the current administration for a number of reasons.

Gingernaut · 02/03/2026 21:19

Yeah, no.

If I had the budget, I'd fly elsewhere

Anywhere that doesn't take in Middle Eastern airspace

JuliesName · 02/03/2026 21:21

You'll be safe in Disney!

Truthfully as awful as this sounds, if you are white or white passing you shouldn't have issues. If youre not, I'd maybe wait until Trump and his hugely inflated ICE are gone. But if you were to travel anywhere, Disney is a great place.

Flamingos89 · 02/03/2026 21:31

I’d genuinely sooner shit in my hands and clap! - it’s run by an unpredictable lunatic
