Would you go to Disney world Orlando this year? We were considering booking for us and our 2 children, was meant to book it tonight.
I’m really unsure with the current condition of the world right now.
what would you do?

No I’m missing my close relatives. Luckily I did visit under Biden. I might go if there is an emergency or maybe a death, but my relatives are saying no one should go.

Anyone thinking of travelling be careful what you are adding or viewing on SM. Remember you may be asked for log ins. I’ve heard that people who say that they have no SM are also questioned because the authorities expect you to be on SM so think you are hiding accounts.

Don’t know when you would be travelling but even if you are safe you might not like the atmosphere around ICE

ICE Arrives Near Disney World, Disturbingly Large Detainment Facility Set Up Minutes Away

This isn't the Disney vacation article anyone wanted to write, but Central Florida tourists need to know what's happening on the ground right now.

Yes, absolutely!

We had to cancel our holiday for this year, but only because I am pregnant and don’t fancy taking a newborn to NYC and Miami - no other reason. I’ve rescheduled for next year.

Just book it. You will all have an amazing time.

Fidgety31 · 02/03/2026 21:46

Yes just got back from WDW. Loved it . Holiday in the USA every year - different parts . I don’t let scaremongering put me off .

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 02/03/2026 21:48

Yes later this year

Bearsdolovetrees · 02/03/2026 21:48

No fucking way. A British tourist was held for 6 weeks and then released without charge. Absolutely no way will I step foot there until there’s regime change

Yellowchair1 · 02/03/2026 21:52

I was confused as to which AIBU option to go for...but absolutely no way for a USA trip!

Miniaturemom · 02/03/2026 21:52

American here. Not going back until he’s gone! There are other Disney’s :)

YSianiFlewog · 02/03/2026 21:53

No, we had planned to go to the west coast this summer, but we're staying in Europe now.

Morepositivemum · 02/03/2026 21:55

Eurodisney was better, go there instead, still too expensive but you’ll save thousands!! 😉

Sesma · 02/03/2026 21:55

I wouldn't go anywhere that I had to ask on here if it was alright to go.

bigbadbitchface · 02/03/2026 21:57

I’d be nervous of a lockerbie style revenge terrorist bombing of a plane due to recent events, but i’d otherwise go. I hate plane travel so prone to the worst what if scenarios imaginable.

Eyesopenwideawake · 02/03/2026 21:57

No. I also have family in Ca., who I met for the first time three years ago but they've advised me not to go. We'll try to meet up somewhere else instead.

ForAmusedHazelQuoter · 02/03/2026 21:59

I’m flying to Miami in about 12 hours time so yes I would.

Specialneedsnightmare · 02/03/2026 22:01

Absolutely not

Besafeeatcake · 02/03/2026 22:04

WineBeforeWhine · 02/03/2026 21:09

I’m sure Trump will be heart broken. Protests like this are worthless. I say go and enjoy Disney.

Not true. Canadians have put a significant dent in US tourism - about 6 billion dollars. Another 6-40 million lost by other foreign tourists.

Absolutely don’t go.

DonnaBanana · 02/03/2026 22:04

Been numerous times, flights are always busy, as are the places. It’s just a bunch of hot air on the internet but not in reality

Besafeeatcake · 02/03/2026 22:06

In response to the question - hell the fuck no.

With so many amazing places to go in the world there is no need to go to the US. Unless for family or business.

Wilful ignorance for those willing to travel there comes to mind.

LadyWiddiothethird · 02/03/2026 22:08

Not a chance, with all the tweets I send to the White House, I would be arrested on arrival.

24kPalamino · 02/03/2026 22:10

I just got back from the States and am back again in a couple of months. I’ll be there for over a month and then I’m back again in the winter. I love being there. It’s amazing. Go and enjoy.

So jealous. I just got back.

UninitendedShark · 02/03/2026 22:14

No, but based on my social media they probably wouldn’t let me in anyway.

Absolutely not, it’s not safe - aside from ICE, have we forgotten about their huge fucking problem with guns? Aside from
that their administration is morally bankrupt and they shouldn’t see a penny of anyone’s tourism money until they’ve binned him.

ICE aren’t bothering anyone at the Magic Kingdom.

HappyHarridan · 02/03/2026 22:26

Yes. I have family there. I’ve been already this year and am going again this summer.
