I have a young terrier so if I want to relax, theee walks it is, Christmas or not. Besides, the Christmas dog walks are the best of the year because there’s hardly anyone else around to spoil it!

Not round here. I saw loads of people meandering around, letting their off lead dogs gallop around out of their sight! I'm glad they're not usually about when I am.

Yes, but I enjoy walking and live in the Lake District with lots of lovely places to wander around, so it’s not really a chore.

Didn’t walk Christmas Day but been to the gym four days this week and been on three walks!

I love a Christmas walk. Didn’t walk much today and I’m feeling really urgh. Also for me the spiritual side of Christmas is best found in the natural world, so I want to get out there.

I think I saw three other dog walkers total, and it was a lovely sunny (but cold) day. Maybe it was the times of day I went out.

But the Christmas Day walk is lovely. Everyone happy and smiling, wishing everyone you see a Merry Christmas. Lots of dogs running around playing and happy in the fields/parks/meadows/beach/dales. Half the dogs in Christmas outfits, half the owners in Christmas hats or some sort of Christmas apparel.

I was forced lucky enough to take my son to the nearest big park yesterday with his new ride on car. Place was heaving with Christmas walkers. Beanies, reusable coffee cups, Dry Robes and socks over leggings aplenty.

I miss seeing all the parents out with children with brand new bikes or dolls prams . . . . this used to be a regular sight on Christmas/Boxing Day when I was a child in the 1960's.

Well we didn't leave the house on Christmas Day because it's too busy. We went for beautiful circa 2 hour walks on both Xmas Eve and Boxing Day though.

We've had the absolute most glorious weather this week (S Wales). Not a drop of rain, not a cloud in the sky, just perfect unbroken clear blue skies. I've never known it like this over Xmas and we've made the most of it. Thick coat and sunglasses weather.

If my mobility were good enough I'd certainly have gone for a walk.

I have a five year old who is like a Labrador on crack so for my own sanity I need to get us out for a vigorous walk every day, Christmas included!

I'm with you! I've never ever gone on a walk on Christmas Day. I like to stay inside the house in my Christmas bubble not seeing anyone but my family haha.

But my gym was closed so what else was I meant to do? 🤨

Oh, they are the best dogs, I’ve had terriers all my life. Some are much more laidback than my current one, so fingers crossed 😂 Totally worth it even if you do get a mad one with no off switch.
