My husband wears the same jumper and jeans for 3 days in row ..

He sees nothing wrong with it at all and doesn’t understand my reasoning. I completely disagree. Obviously if his clothes are still clean then they can be worn again but I don’t think you can wear them again on several consecutive days. I’m embarrassed if we see people we know for two days in a row and he’s in the same outfit. I think it gives weird vibes like he can only afford one outfit. Just seems a bit studenty, and dirty. Am I being unreasonable??

I wear the same trousers four days in a row to work. Not a big deal

FestiveBauble · 13/12/2025 18:17

If jeans are clean, of course you can wear them a few days in a row? Same for a jumper if it’s cold, not dirty, you’re not sweating and perhaps you have a t shirt under it.

Why are you embarrassed by that? I can’t remember what my friends are wearing day to day!

rubyslippers · 13/12/2025 18:18

Totally unreasonable
why do you care what other people may or may not think
they probably haven’t even noticed or care

vanillalattes · 13/12/2025 18:19

I agree with you, but you'll get a lot of people telling you it's fine.

Oblomov25 · 13/12/2025 18:19

Of course it's fine. Jeans don't get dirty. They recommend they are worn a number of times between washings.

Spudthespanner · 13/12/2025 18:20

🙄

Smartiepants79 · 13/12/2025 18:20

If they are not dirty or smell then what is the problem?
Do you really think anyone you meet gives a shit about whether your DH is wearing the same thing. Or even notice. Or remember what he was wearing the day before. Leave him alone. He can wear what he wants if it’s clean enough.

PrincessofWells · 13/12/2025 18:20

Well done to him. At least he's not wearing it for half an hour and fucking up the environment by washing clean clothes.

JifNtGif · 13/12/2025 18:20

I hope you realise you are being weird and unreasonable.

Overtheatlantic · 13/12/2025 18:21

I think the jeans are fine but maybe he could alternate between a couple of jumpers?

FuzzyWolf · 13/12/2025 18:22

As long as the clothes are clean, it’s fine. Far better than endlessly and unnecessarily washing clothes.

Brightbluesomething · 13/12/2025 18:22

As long as he’s changing his tshirt or whatever might get sweaty underneath I’m not sure what the problem is. You seem to want to influence what he wears? If this was a reverse your DH would be told to leave you as you’re too controlling.

RosesAndHellebores · 13/12/2025 18:23

Presumably he wears underpants under his jeans and a tee shirt or shirt under his jumper?

Unless he looks unkempt do you actually think anyone else is paying him, or you, that much attention.

Obvs underpants, tee shirt and socks need changing daily.

Silverbirchleaf · 13/12/2025 18:24

Nothing wrong with wearing the same jumper and Jeans more than once . My dh does the same.

Do people really go around actively noticing what other people wear?

JohnTheRevelator · 13/12/2025 18:24

I don't see an issue with this as long as he's not got food or whatever on them.

Chatterboxy · 13/12/2025 18:24

You are being unreasonable.

I’m on my 3rd day of same jeans and jumper. Ditto bra and socks.

SheinIsShite · 13/12/2025 18:26

You really think people you may bump into in the street will remember what your DH is wearing?

2old4thispoo · 13/12/2025 18:26

YANBU

After 3 days he must stink especially the t- shirt!

PartoftheBand · 13/12/2025 18:26

I wear jeans a lot more than three times a row. Can't imagine anyone really caring or noticing this sort of thing.

FerrisWheelsandLilacs · 13/12/2025 18:26

I’ve been known to wear jeans for a week in a row… and I certainly wear jumpers multiple times before washing, usually consecutively as it would be weirder to have a pile of worn-but-not-dirty jumpers accumulating.

So yes, YABU

Have you had a shower in the last 3 days?

verycloakanddaggers · 13/12/2025 18:27

No one cares if his clothes are the same, no one will notice.

Some people buy multiple copies of the same outfit.

I think it gives weird vibes like he can only afford one outfit. Just seems a bit studenty, and dirty. This is all your mindset.

AnnaMagnani · 13/12/2025 18:27

That AI is wrong about wool and cashmere jumpers. They can basically go forever without needing washing unless visibly stained.

toomuchfaff · 13/12/2025 18:28

Do you really think anyone gives a shit what your DH wears?

What this really says is that you judge others if they wear the same clothes multiple days, because you assune others do. In reality no one notices.
