My husband wears the same jumper and jeans for 3 days in row ..

He sees nothing wrong with it at all and doesn’t understand my reasoning. I completely disagree. Obviously if his clothes are still clean then they can be worn again but I don’t think you can wear them again on several consecutive days. I’m embarrassed if we see people we know for two days in a row and he’s in the same outfit. I think it gives weird vibes like he can only afford one outfit. Just seems a bit studenty, and dirty. Am I being unreasonable??

You are coming across as very unpleasant.

Not as unpleasant as 4 day old trousers

Yes, the lack of self awareness and nastiness in your replies is indeed shameful.
You must feel very angry a lot of the time if this upsets you so much.

Not at all, no

littleamanda · 14/12/2025 08:25

No, i’m not especially sweaty. I believe hygiene is really important- especially at work. Have you only got one pair of trousers? Is this an affordability issue?

I believe not paying attention to basic hygiene is unhealthy and slob-like. Are you a slob in other areas of your life too?

😁

Crikey!

I have no words

I'm afraid that is not what comes across loud and clear in your posts.

Bet she smells nice though.

Delatron · 14/12/2025 14:27

People’s legs don’t sweat! I don’t think jeans need washing every time you wear them. Or jumpers if you have a t-shirt underneath.

It’s cold right now - who’s sweating anyway?

As long as you shower every day and change underwear/close contact clothes then it’s fine.

EyeLevelStick · 14/12/2025 16:52

littleamanda · 14/12/2025 11:12

What’s shameful is the lack of self-care, the lack of self awareness, the lack of hygiene standards. It’s slobbish and NASTY. And just basic as hell.

So you keep saying, but you still haven’t explained why wearing jeans and jumpers multiple times is unhygienic, or indeed, NASTY. In capital letters.

Artificialhens · 14/12/2025 11:19

Is it like sex done properly, where gross shame is half the fun?

😂😂😂

RampantIvy · 14/12/2025 16:59

This thread is bonkers, or rather a couple of ridiculously germ phobic posters have made it bonkers.

@littleamanda perhaps London commuters should wear hazmat suits over their work clothes to commute?

Your laundry must be costing you the earth (in both senses of the word).

Another wind up post

LlynTegid · 14/12/2025 17:11

I just think it looks bad, no issue with cleanliness I think.

I suspect because she can’t ☺️

Generally in life I find those that protest the most are those who display the traits they are so vehement about. Just picture that poster sitting on a filthy sofa in an unwashed grey tracksuit while aggressively typing on the latest iPhone but with a cracked screen and vaping at the same time. And all will seem well in the world again :)

Single50something · 14/12/2025 17:53

I will wear same trousers/jumpers sweatshirts for a few days why keep washing stuff if doesn't need it

Laura95167 · 14/12/2025 18:00

Load of variables here. Are his undies and socks clean? Would he change if he slopped on it? Would he change if you had a planned outting somewhere?

But generally i think jeans and jumpers are fine, tshirts and undies arent

Whatwouldnanado · 14/12/2025 18:04

Gawd. So you really are the sort of person who notices that people are wearing the same stuff they had on yesterday. Short of something to do obviously. As long as his clothes aren’t stinky and covered in dribble leave him alone.

traintonowheresunny · 14/12/2025 18:06

Weather you agree or not it’s his body and his clothes so his choice to make.
You can choose how often you wear your own.

NormasArse · 14/12/2025 18:07

Does he whiff?

Guessing he showers/changes t-shirt and undies daily?

If no to the first and yes to the second, all is good.

Parsleyforme · 14/12/2025 18:07

Jumpers with a T-shirt underneath are surely no worse than a jacket or coat with another layer underneath and most people wouldn’t wash their coat after a couple of wears. I only have one pair of “walking leggings” that get washed twice a week so anyone who sees me might think I never wash them - but I’m not embarrassed because surely they’re wasting no time thinking about what I’m wearing

Ariana12 · 14/12/2025 18:10

Now if you'd said underpants🤣

Bernardo1 · 14/12/2025 18:12

So! how many washing machines do you have in your laundry annexe.

Wearegoingtoneedabiggerboat · 14/12/2025 18:16

3 days is nothing, my ex wore a pair of jeans for 6 weeks without washing. He also still wears this hoody every day and it’s not been washed since he bought it, one year ago. He went to a colleagues wedding with a jumper on that he picked up off the bedroom floor. The best bit, however was that he still managed to have an affair with a woman 20 years younger than him wearing the above clothes. So YABU as wearing clothes that have not been washed doesn’t seem to bother some people

LiveLuvLaugh · 14/12/2025 18:17

I hate unwashed clothes in drawers or wardrobes. Where do you store clothes that have been worn once, twice or more? I put them on a chair but I wouldn’t want a massive pile of unwashed clothes so I wear things consecutively until they need washing. I’d rather do that than try to pretend I wash clothes after each wear.

candycanetime · 14/12/2025 18:17

I have work uniform. I wear my work trousers 3 days in a row, my fleece 3 days in a row but polo shirts are changed daily.

DesignerStars · 14/12/2025 18:21

I wouldn't work for my DP but only because he doesn't wear underwear 😂
