What’s your prediction of the next cause the ‘activists’ are going to move into, after Gaza?

Seems like they’re getting bored of Palestine now that it’s a bit awkward talking about Hamas killing Palestinians in the streets.

so what do we think the next big cause is that they’re going to move onto? Do we think they'll finally bother to start talking about the awful crisis in Sudan? Or is there a trendier topic emerging?

This. It's not over yet.

This sounds worryingly like a person who is not keen for peace.

Kinda like that chant:
We dont want no two state
We want 48

Aka never ending conflict

@Custardcream84i would be ashamed to know someone I loved was writing hateful crap like that to people they don’t know. Your last paragraph is vile. You don’t know my story anymore than I know yours. I have family there who have been through so much. I honestly don’t know why you think writing that is ok.

CountFucula · 20/10/2025 12:20

There’s a word for people who will never ever stop the activism for Palestine and aren’t working towards a peaceful solution: antisemites

I volunteer at a soup kitchen in town most weekends.

But anyway yes the people who suspect that Digital ID is going to become the new thing, I reckon you’re onto something there.

After just stop oil and free Palestine, I imagine most could do with a reapplication of green/blue hair dye and a bath.
Hopefully followed by a job

Swiftie1878 · 20/10/2025 16:35

I was in London at the weekend. All the noise outside Downing Street was about Digital IDs.

JaneJeffer · 20/10/2025 16:37

I heard they were going to petition MN for a thumbs down button

DonnaHadDee · 20/10/2025 16:46

Hopefully being more aware of the ongoing killing and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. It has been very much overlooked in the horror of Hamas atrocities and the mass killings of women and children by the IDF.

For the UK protesters, I'd like to see the same level of focus on the Iranian role. There has been really minimal public understanding of their role for decades in funding and guiding terrorism in the middle east and beyond.

If you read any of the "sentiment" surveys then you'll see how people's understanding of, and attitude towards, Israel has changed - worldwide. People know more about Israel as a state. This will have a long term impact. Hopefully such groups can do the same for Iran?

For the other Gaza protesters who want to annex it and remove Palestinians. They'll just have to carry on as best they can. They are in government, and have very large support in Israel. www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2025/08/right-wing-israeli-settlers-annex-gaza/683776/

Oh bore off, OP.
What are you doing to help anyone?
Bugger all, I suspect.

You may not agree with the protests. I might not. But at least they have the wherewithal to get off their arses and make their voices heard.

What rubish.

What good do you think marching in London is doing exactly? That’s right. None.

The only thing these protesters are is virtue signallers or thugs. Take yer pick.

There is absolutely nothing to be achieved by protesting to “free Palestine” or whichever country it is they might protest about next when they’re doing it in London. Or do you think that the Israeli government are out there thinking “there was a protest in London on Saturday, a few thousand people were there. Terrifying. We’d better declare a ceasefire.”?

I think it sounds like a person who knows from history that this so called peace deal will be extremely short lived unless we get regime changes both sides.

Totally agree. The hair dye brigade used to march round Bath on a Saturday morning, chanting about rivers to sea and beating a drum, whilst expecting people to get out of their way.
Achieved absolutely nothing towards peace.

I’d love to see focus on the Iranian regime, and its appalling treatment of women and dissidents.

The brave women who fought for the ‘women, life, freedom’ movement don’t seem to get any support from Western leftists. And they’re the most brilliant, brave women.

Why don’t you start your own protest, and I am sure people will join you.

cupfinalchaos · 20/10/2025 20:08

I think it’s common knowledge the pro-pally marchers have zero interest in Gazans, the Iranian regime, Ukraine or anything that isn’t wiping Jews off the face of the earth.

Sorry, I thought you were agreeing with this post. Thanks
