What’s your prediction of the next cause the ‘activists’ are going to move into, after Gaza?

Seems like they’re getting bored of Palestine now that it’s a bit awkward talking about Hamas killing Palestinians in the streets.

so what do we think the next big cause is that they’re going to move onto? Do we think they'll finally bother to start talking about the awful crisis in Sudan? Or is there a trendier topic emerging?

None of the digital id schemes in Europe (Estonia, Denmark, Spain), are mandatory. It’s still a choice.

If people want to give their personal data away fair enough (a bit like people who sign up for dna tests for fun), but it shouldn’t be mandatory.

Huge corporation Oracle - (cbs, cnn And soon tik tok), owned by Larry Ellison is behind it all in the uk. Why do we think he was on stage in Dubai talking about our NHS (best form of country wide data source anywhere in the world), backed up by Tony Blair? Tony Blair who controls KS on this issue. They weren’t in Dubai talking about mandatory digital id for charity. It’s only to make lots and lots and lots of money. And to control.

Anyone who thinks otherwise, is very very naive.

Seek help for your paranoia. I’m leaving this thread now. There are some pretty disturbed people on it. I’m happy with the government having my data. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

Ok.. It’s not paranoia. It’s factual information available to all.

Probably nothing, unless there’s Jews to blame. But we’ll see.

It’s awful quiet about Sudan. Funny that.

Oh yes, because no one in the history of the world has ever protested against any atrocity unless there are Jews to blame 🙄

Ethiopia, Sudan, Syria. Plenty to be concerned about in the world but only one conflict that seems to have a lot of rabid flag bearers hell bent on stirring up hatred. Only one conflict whose protest involves using a sledge hammer against female police officers. I think there is very much jew hatred here and as the peace fire holds its a great opportunity to stop this.

They come across as deeply troubled, unhappy people with not a lot going on in their lives so they have to attach themselves to "causes".

This is a really disgusting thing to say, you should be ashamed.

I agree that criticising Israel for fighting Hamas is abhorrent. What happened on Oct 7 does NOT mean any tactic is justified, though.

I agree that comparing Israeli soldiers to Hamas terrorists is disgusting. But it's still possible to criticise individuals who executed strategies that caused unnecessary civilian loss of life.

At the moment, the picture is still very unclear, so I do not think that anyone can know which strategies may have been uneccesary. I have my own opinions but there's very unclear information so how cab anyone really know?

I do feel extremely uneasy about journalists being banned from Gaza.

I agree with you. I don't doubt that there have been war crimes in Gaza, especially aorund issues of proportionalty, and those responsible absolutely need to be held accountable. To be honest, I can't think of any example of such a situation with a terrorist force embedded in and exploiting a civilian population that hasn't led to war crimes and abuses - not justifying in any way, but just historically this situation has always led to serious ethical and operational questions on how to protect a civilian population.

And I agree international journalists should be allowed to report. 100%. I don't accept Israel's argument for not allowing them entry.

Well, never anything to do with Palestinians, that's for sure and certain. No one cared when it was Hezbollah slaughtering them in Yarmouk camp in Syria.

sabababa · 21/11/2025 04:42

In fact, let's not forget that Corbyn, that great champion of the Palestinians, invited Hezbollah to partliament and called them his friends. The same Hezbollah which massacred Palestinians in Syria. But as long as they're not Jewish and as long as they all "resist" Israel, then it's A-OK from his perspective.
