What’s your prediction of the next cause the ‘activists’ are going to move into, after Gaza?

Seems like they’re getting bored of Palestine now that it’s a bit awkward talking about Hamas killing Palestinians in the streets.

so what do we think the next big cause is that they’re going to move onto? Do we think they'll finally bother to start talking about the awful crisis in Sudan? Or is there a trendier topic emerging?

No idea. Maybe you could help them out by talking about what cause you're fighting for and what you're doing to help?

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · 18/10/2025 18:00

What’s your prediction of the next lot of questions the people that keep asking about the Gaza ‘activists’ are going to move into, after Gaza?

Charity to solve homelessness in the UK!

And what are you doing to help homelessness in the UK?

verybighouseinthecountry · 18/10/2025 20:07

I don't think people will ever stop the activism for Palestine, sorry to disappoint you OP.

dimension2025 · 18/10/2025 20:47

The OP sounds insufferable

NancyBellaDonna · 18/10/2025 20:56

What a nasty sneering post, especially when so many thousands of people have lost their lives or been injured. I really don't think this is in the spirit of Mumsnet.

Nomdejeur · 18/10/2025 20:57

They’ll go very quiet until the next time Hamas slaughter innocent people and Israel retaliate. Then they’ll drag their flags out from under the bed and back they’ll come.

BallerinaRadio · 18/10/2025 20:59

There's much bigger to protest than a genocide to be fair. But you didn't use that word in your 'edgy' post did you

BluntPlumHam · 18/10/2025 21:02

Op what else do you like to jest about other than Genocide, famine and mass flattening of an entire civilian population’s home?

Ankleblisters · 18/10/2025 21:06

If the genocide in Gaza does come to an end, I imagine a lot of people might start paying attention to the horrendous injustices in the West Bank.
Like illegal settlements carving out more and more of the land that is meant to be Palestinian. Or settler violence.
Or the IDF shooting young children, like Muhammad al-Hallaq who was shot by the IDF in a West Bank village yesterday. He was 10.

Ten-year-old Palestinian boy shot dead by Israeli forces in West Bank

Witnesses say Muhammad al-Hallaq had been playing football before soldiers arrived and opened fire.

legalseagull · 18/10/2025 21:09

The evil dictator Netanyahu will be bombing again soon enough under some excuse, so I hope the activists keep the message alive to force the government in to action and to stop the U.K. selling arms to the IDF.

You're free to protest anything you like OP.

The ongoing murders and theft of land in the West Bank has been largely ignored, if anything good has come out of this Genocide (and obviously I say that lightly) at the very least the barbaric behaviour of Israel in the West Bank has had more exposure.

kirbykirby · 18/10/2025 23:12

Sugar taxes.

EmeraldRoulette · 18/10/2025 23:13

I thoughtThey said they weren't going to stop?

Usou · 18/10/2025 23:16

The ethnic cleansing of Nagorno Karabak or Sudan, or Kosovo or Northern Nigeria perhaps?

Probably not.

Notmymarmosets · 18/10/2025 23:31

Something that they have absolutely no influence over. And that winds people up for a good march, but involves no actual self sacrifice. So possibly no more kings, or abortion rights in any country other than their own.

OonaStubbs · 18/10/2025 23:32

They are idiots who do far more harm to their cause than they help.

EmeraldRoulette · 18/10/2025 23:44

I bet they'll go back to green crap

Nescafeneeded · 18/10/2025 23:58

Greta has finally posted about Sudan so I guess they will get a very parred back look in now

Catssuddenlyappear · 19/10/2025 00:04

Yeah, what a dreadful bunch of people. Complete arseholes for risking imprisonment, job loss etc for carding about genocide

(Sarcasm if that wasn't obvious)

What’s your prediction of the next cause the ‘activists’ are going to move into, after Gaza?

starsinthedarksky · 18/10/2025 18:40

And what are you doing to help homelessness in the UK?

I think I know the answer to this! It's either 'absolutely nothing' or 'I don't like giving people money so I just give them food for the dog, who I also try to 'rescue'"

Dangeos · 18/10/2025 18:01

Charity to solve homelessness in the UK!

Curious what charity you’re working for or supporting? From my experience those who work in homeless charities are left wing and very much supportive of activism for Gaza. Or do you just support saying you support the UK homeless? I’m also curious how you feel about substance or alcohol misuse? Again, just from experience working with these services and observing the public, those who are ‘flying the flag and pro Isreal’ tend to want to ‘support our homeless’ whilst doing sweet FA about it and only offer support to ex military personnel who are sober and have run out of money 🤷

cupfinalchaos · 19/10/2025 00:10

Strange they’re not marching in protest about Hamas executing kids on the street who’s parents were suspected traitors.. no Jews no news.

BlushingBrightly · 19/10/2025 00:13

They were probably at the one against digital ID today. It's Saturday afternoon, it's central London, it's this week's outing for the omnicause.
