What’s your prediction of the next cause the ‘activists’ are going to move into, after Gaza?

Dangeos · 18/10/2025 17:56

Seems like they’re getting bored of Palestine now that it’s a bit awkward talking about Hamas killing Palestinians in the streets.

so what do we think the next big cause is that they’re going to move onto? Do we think they'll finally bother to start talking about the awful crisis in Sudan? Or is there a trendier topic emerging?

Don't assume anything. I support all those who are the victims of murderers.

Including those murdered on October 7th 2024 or do they not fit the prejudicial agenda?

Umy15r03lcha1 · 19/10/2025 21:59

Yes including Oct 7th.

Do you understand my username?

Yeah, what a dreadful bunch of people. Complete arseholes for risking imprisonment, job loss etc for carding about genocide

(Sarcasm if that wasn't obvious)

I think this is worth repeating often and loudly.

Bringemout · 19/10/2025 22:08

I don’t think many of the protesters actually care much for Palestinian civilians at all. Whats happening in Gaza is horrifying, the number of people who have been executed in Gaza in the last few days is estimated to be around 100 including kids (I think it was a 5yr old and a 7yr old and their mum) because they couldn’t find their dad. I mean if you genuinely cared about civilians you would be worrying about that, not obsessing over Israel right now. It’s truly awful.

SwingTheMonkey · 19/10/2025 22:32

There’s a question I’d like to ask those who are religious on either side of this war, or any of the others currently raging across the globe. Do you really believe your god wants the destruction of innocent people? I’m admittedly an atheist and my knowledge of religion is limited but surely, your god can’t want this? How can you turn a blind eye to the incredible suffering of innocents because they happen to be on the wrong side of your war?

MrsSkylerWhite · 19/10/2025 22:36

Oh bore off, OP.
What are you doing to help anyone?
Bugger all, I suspect.

You may not agree with the protests. I might not. But at least they have the wherewithal to get off their arses and make their voices heard.

cupfinalchaos · 19/10/2025 00:10

Strange they’re not marching in protest about Hamas executing kids on the street who’s parents were suspected traitors.. no Jews no news.

Just what I was going to say. There's no doubt Netanyahu is absolutely in the wrong but let's not pretend that Hamas are not murderous savages killing their own people.

Absolutely. It’s crystal clear. Both “sides” are equally heinous. Why is it so difficult to hold both truths in your head at the same time? Seems impossible to many people.

Interesting how Israel has attacked Gaza and killed multiple civilians and children since the ‘ceasefire’ - as we all knew they would. So no we won’t ’move on’ because we need to raise our voices for Palestine and always will. We dont accept a genocide being brushed under the carpet and until there is justice and the perpetrators are brought to task and even then we will never forget what was done.

As always, no mention of Hamas breaking the ceasefire as the reason for any Israeli retaliation.

WeAreOnTheRoadToNowhere · 20/10/2025 07:11

They will be waiting for instructions re what their next belief should be. Friend of mine (socialist worker) gets bused around the country marching.
Never was useful idiot so appropriate
I think it is about appearing virtuous and believing themselves to be a 'good person'
Once they have decided who is the oppressor and who is the oppressed they can justify any behaviour. That's how they shout at and abuse women who are meeting to discuss women's rights. They are oppressors so all abusive behaviour is acceptable

Netanyahu is a war criminal who must be brought to justice. But you need to widen your news sources - not talking about you tube rubbish - reputable news sources as it’s not balanced to say just Israel have murdered and maimed since the cease fire. Hamas should not be part of the future for Gaza and it’s a tragedy that they are mobilising and consolidating power.

Namechang44 · 20/10/2025 07:27

Trying to downplay the undeniable genocide and breaking of international law by Netanyahu with your title, isn’t going to work. It will go down in history.

BeLoyalCoralHiker · 20/10/2025 07:37

I used to work for a housing charity and it’s bitterly hilarious how homeless people go from being alcoholics and druggies who secretly have money and shouldn’t be allowed to have dogs, to the most worthy cause in the UK and one that it is patriotic to support, at the drop of a hat.

A massive proportion of the adults we worked with did have drug and alcohol problems and some were not taking up places in accommodation because it was conditional on participation in addiction treatment, so actually substance abuse as a cause should be given as much attention as housing.

gannett · 20/10/2025 07:54

starsinthedarksky · 18/10/2025 18:40

And what are you doing to help homelessness in the UK?

OP never came back after being asked this, how curious.

Soukmyfalafel · 20/10/2025 08:03

Bit of an immature, pathetic thread OP. Says more about you as a person than the people supporting Palestine.

War, taking people hostage and the mass killing of women and children is not superficial, gossip column material. Grow up.

Confused about this one. MN really is getting filled with automated garbage right now. Doesn't even make any sense.

FrenchBunionSoup · 20/10/2025 08:17

My guesses would be:
A) anti-AI and/or pro-Universal Basic Income; and
B) Disability discrimination, but in a way that is going to make things much worse for disabled people.

Except those who bleat "we need to look after our own" are the ones who are least likely to help anyone, and in the next breath are taking about how they're sick of paying for those who don't work.
People who don't care about others don't care about others. There's no grey area.

Do you care about Sudan or is this Whataboutism?

I don't think people who care about the situation in Palestine will ever stop caring. But there will be highs and lulls in tandem with outbreaks of violence in that region.

People will stop 'caring' once it's fully resolved (which won't happen in our lifetimes.)

Salvadoridory · 20/10/2025 11:08

Maybe they will become as disingenuous and goady as the OP. But its not likely, most people just aren't that unpleasant. Just say what you really want to say, the fact you wrap it up in this crap just shows you know what you really believe might not be ok outside of the bubble which you exist in.

So 25 years ago during the 2nd intifada when hamas was blowing up buses and cafes, what were you protesting? Were you protesting that Palestinians should accept Barak's offer? Or Olmert's offer?

The fact that you state you will never stop, no matter what, speaks volumes. Seems to be part of your identity.

sabababa · 20/10/2025 11:15

PuttingOnTheKitsch · 19/10/2025 20:13

The conflict in Palestine started long before October 7th

September 2023 was the deadliest year on record for children in the West Bank.

https://www.savethechildren.net/news/2023-marks-deadliest-year-record-children-occupied-west-bank

The IDF needs no excuse for slaughtering Palestinian children. They've been doing it for decades.

Yeah, we could go back almost 100 years to the Hebron massacre and ethnic cleansing as an example.

verybighouseinthecountry · 18/10/2025 20:07
