Can’t find a name for my little boy?

Hello,

so I’m pregnant, 7 months and really really struggling to find a name. I have a boy already, and his name is as easy peasy for me to choose - I knew straight away, even before I was pregnant.

since finding out I’m having another boy, I’ve been struggling to think of a name. I have options…. But just don’t love any of them. I feel really guilty about it, feel bad that I can’t think of a name for him, can’t connect with him on that level? Maybe I’m over thinking it but I truly feel like a crappy mum, I should “know” his name.

My husband like Huxley… I thought it was okay, and would’ve happily have gone with it for him but his cousin has now called their baby Huxley. So that’s that. Won’t use it.

we both like Rudy, but i don’t LOVE it, it’s okay but doesn’t feel like that’s his name.

we like cassian, again, doesn’t move me to tears but it’s fine 🤣

these are the other options.

Oswin
Jago
Magnus
Neo
Roux
Marcel
Seb

Think Roux is too close to the making of a sauce and also he’ll be questioned on how to spell it.

love Magnus, always have, he’d be called Maggie? I don’t know. People love a nickname.

neo.. also like it but will people think I’ve named him after Neyo - the singer.

anyway, it’s a big deal naming a baby. I want something easy to say and spell, not tooo common.

My son is: Saxon
I love it so much, just looking for something to go with it.

help and please be nice….

Hankunamatata · 13/09/2025 15:40

Rudy - doomed to have it prounuced wrong as u sound instead of oo

Birdsongsingingagainandagain · 13/09/2025 15:41

Rudy is nice and so is Cyrus. Magnus good too.

DreamOfTheRarebitFiend · 13/09/2025 15:42

Please don't call him Roux! It's a flour/fat mix used to thicken sauces. I like Oswin, and you can have the nickname Oz.

Saxon and Oswin sound very well for brothers.

Oswin - Ossie, Winner
I also like Marcel and Oisin.

hereismydog · 13/09/2025 15:48

Magnus, no contest.

Rightandwrong · 13/09/2025 15:50

Here in Scotland Alba seems to be quite popular as a name.
Perhaps if you are in England you could call your son Anglo. It would go nicely with his older brother's.

Rallentanda · 13/09/2025 15:56

Saxon and Florian
Saxon and Blake
Saxon and Mellor

TheBirdintheCave · 13/09/2025 15:56

Magnus and Jago are lovely but neither go with the name of your first child.

Norman, as someone said above, or Roman, would likely be the only things in the same category.

VinoBianca · 13/09/2025 15:57

caspian

Winner for a nickname (Oswin) is cool! I like that.
